I think you will find this a little more useful. . .

Try downloading the now discontinued touchnet browser, It's still found here:

One of these links should work, Touchnet has a function where it can automatically put you through a proxy (you just have to click on update proxy list from tools->ip tools (or something like that), and it gets a list of proxies, try 'em out, it can even rotate them every few seconds, if you want,

Oh, and if you're having trouble with serial #s and whatnot, mail me, wink

Yes it is possible to love a woman and cheat on her. That doesn't mean that it should be done. As men we have this inherent weakness though that makes us fall easily, and a lot of women know this and exploit it.

The best way to avoid falling is to avoid compromising situations.
PoliticsRe: Can You Die For Nigeria? by Chxta(m): 6:30pm On Jul 22, 2006
Maybe I could die for Naija. Depending on the situation.

But to be frank, it would be pretty difficult for one to lay down one's life for Naija as it is currently constituted and run, when you know that if you die for the country that you will be forgotten.

But if things such as this continue to happen, we will slowly develop a sense of national pride. And it is national pride that gives people the zeal to consider making the supreme sacrifice for their country.

My dear man, you are also on the thrid rock from the Sun. . .

Let me educate you a little: A planet is generally considered to be a relatively large mass of aggegated matter in orbit around a star. In geological terms, aggregated matter is generally considered to be a rock.

There are 9 rocks in orbit around our star (Sol), in order: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Some schools of thought suggest that there is a 10th rock called Charon, but this is still under debate.

According to that list, Earth is number. . .

Any questions?

Foreign AffairsRe: Israel vs Hezbollah/Lebanon by Chxta(op): 10:22am On Jul 22, 2006
Taking sides in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a tough thing to do. While it might be easy for those who are fed by American mainstream media reports to believe that Israel is right and the Palestinians wrong, the truth is much deeper.

The problem in the Middle East persists because since the State of Israel was violently created in 1948--largely by the efforts of the United States and Great Britain--the voiceless predominantly Arab Palestinians have had no where to turn to. Many of these Palestinians were forcibly removed from their homes—an act driven by a pseudo-religious belief that Palestine was the God-promised ancestral homeland of the Jews.

There were Jewish terrorist organizations, which worked with Zionists to see that as much Arabs as possible were driven away from Palestine, while Jews all over the world were invited to return. And in 1948, Israel was created. This Israel had the character of a Jewish State and an Arab minority.

Isn't it logical that most Arab governments, embittered by what happened in Palestine, chose not to recognize the State of Israel? Some have described the creation of Israel in Palestine as the worst blunder of the latter half of the twentieth century, for ever since it happened, that region has known no peace. But with American and British support, it appeared that Israel had come to stay. United Nations resolutions affirm its right to exist, a right which every modern nation states should respect.

All too often Israel is portrayed as a secular moderate republic by the mainstream American media, while Palestine is viewed as an aggressive and unsustainable state. In 1998, the then Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu came on CNN to clearly state that he did not believe in the creation of a Palestinian state. A large fraction of Netanyahu's Likud party (an extremist group in my opinion) holds a similar view, though according to this Wikipedia article, Ariel Sharon changed Likud's official policy with regard a Palestinian statehood.

However, it appears that even Sharon could not placate the more extreme members of Likud, which led him to create the Kadima party in late 2005. In other words, there is a powerful force in Israeli politics that is doing everything possible to see that Palestine never exists—contrary to United Nations resolutions. This force is the Israeli equivalent of Hamas and Hezbolla, the only difference being that it has American weapons to fight with and the American mainstream media is more sympathetic to its cause, making it appear morally superior.

While Israel preaches peace, it continues to flout United Nations resolutions by building settlements in the West Bank or Palestine if you prefer. Gaza, the most congested nation on earth is like a refugee camp. From the look of things, it is either that Israel doesn't want peace or that it is not willing to compromise. Before we can start talking about peace in the Middle East, Israel must cease all settlements in the West Bank and abide by outstanding United Nations resolutions. It must also dismantle the apartheid wall it is currently building, by which it covertly steals land from the Palestinians. A growing number of Arab countries have indicated their willingness to recognize Israel if it returns to the pre-1967 border.

Destroying the infrastructure of Lebanon isn't going to achieve much. It would surely not make Israel any safer. The disproportionate use of force in Lebanon clearly shows that this isn't about Hezbollah having captured two Israeli soldiers. From the look of things, support for Hezbollah has been on the increase in Lebanon since the bombing started, even amongst factions of Lebanon's 40% Christian population (who generally hold Hezbollah in contempt). Hezbollah isn't a political party per se that could easily be destroyed. It is like a movement, an ideology, formed in 1982 to drive Israeli forces out of Lebanon.

Israel is gradually driving itself into isolation on the international scene. For now, it does what it wants because the United States (the most powerful nation in the world) stands by its side. Fifty or sixty years from now, the tables may turn and Washington may have ceased dictating what goes on. All we hear from the United States now is that "Israel has a right to defend itself." Well, so do the Palestinians, a large part of whose land has been usurped by Israel. Until sanity and rationality are brought into resolving the surrounding issues, the fighting would go on and on. America may first have to lose its superpower status and its urge to control the world's oil resources for Middle East peace to be possible.

Chxta's World

I have a confession to make. I am a bad Christian. I hardly go to church, and when I do, I sleep while the priest is talking. This state of affairs is especially worse when I go to Magodo (as I do most weekends) and on Sunday we have to go to Mass at St. Agnes's at Maryland. You see the priests there have this habit of just rambling on, so once it is time for homily, I bring out my pillow so to speak and sleep away. But it is not solely the fault of the priests. I tend to question a lot, and up until date no one has quite been able to explain to me what God meant when he and Cain had that discussion after Cain dispatched Abel:

13And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

14Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

15And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

16And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

17And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.
(from Genesis Chapter 4 KJV)

You see, if at that point in time we only had Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel, then Cain shuffled Abel off the mortal coil, then who are the "every one that shall findeth Cain"? And who was his wife?

See what I mean? I have a document that contains 101 contradictions from the Bible, but I know that if I write on that, I will provoke only God knows what storm,

But all this I have written above is just a digression. You see, U made me go to Church this morning. So I was at Saturday morning mass at Our Lady of the Assumption at Falomo, Ikoyi. At the beginning of the mass I was already preparing for my usual cynical sleep when the priest said: "Today is the feast day of Mary Magdalene, not the wife of Jesus, but the saint of the Church."

That got my attention, and brought me to something that has been raging all over since. I have to say that I think Dan Brown's novel is bollocks from a historical perspective, and rubbish as a read. The movie is even worse. And this is from someone who has read book, and watched the movie (I am still trying to get my cash back from Silverbird!).

So, who really was Mary Magdalene?

According to the Bible (and the Catholic Church), (St.) Mary Magdalene (who is mentioned 12 times in the Gospels), was healed of demon possession by Jesus (Luke 8:2), was present at the Crucifixion and the tomb and was sent by the Jesus to the apostles to announce the Good News after he had woken up from the dead. Her feast day is celebrated July 22. Which is today.

According to Dan Brown in his book, Mary Magdalene was of royal blood (was she really?), of the tribe of Benjamin, and Jesus's wife. He claims that after the crucifixion of Jesus, Mary, pregnant with Jesus' child, moved to France (how did she get that far?) and became the root of the Merovingian royal family. He also says Jesus intended for Mary to be the head of his Church (celebrating the sacred feminine, whatever that is) but that Peter wrested power from her (never read of a power struggle last time I read the good book), suppressed evidence of Jesus' real intentions and set into motion a conspiracy to demonize Mary Magdalene.

Wow. Talk of some imagination. Last time I checked, the lady is a saint of the Catholic Church, hell, today's her feast day.

Dan Brown himself has no degree in either Religion or History, but I must say he put in a lot of research into the work, so I'll let that pass. I am a bit envious of him because I don't think that if I publish my only book till date (Almost Immortal is the name), that I'll make up to $ 2 million from it. The geezer made a whooping $ 76.5 million from his crap book! I'd read any Fred Forsythe, Robert Ludlum, Sidney Sheldon, Chinua Achebe and even SMO Aka six or seven times before reading that crap ever again. But it made more than all of them have ever made put together. Wow! Talk about cashing in on controversy. I would have to sit down and think of some very controversial topic to write about?

But read this about The Da Vinci Code, it makes for interesting reading,

Edit: Hey, I think I've gotten a controversial enough title for my next book: Why The Nigger Will Never Succeed,

Realpolitik as canvassed by Machiavelli in Il Principe is what America has been practising for decades on the rest of the world, and probably on themselves as well. That IBB uses it doesn't make any difference. The main thing is that in IBB's shoes, I'd have done the same.

That is the honest truth.
