Yeah, Seun is right, (O boy why u delete my post?). The EFCC has gotten frustrated with the fact that they can't get to this fellow (and some other thieving governors like him), so the best thing to do is to get them where they can be gotten... abroad. See, this people may be under constant surveillance in Nigeria, and they know it. Some of them also know that their tenures are coming to and end in under 2 years, and that will spell an end to the immunity that they are misbehaving under now. So what guarantees do we have that by that 2 years time they won't have muddied the money trail in such a way that it'd be impossible to truly (and legally) link them with anything? Lemme ask another question here... why didn't Alamieyeseigha inform the Nigerian diplomatic mission in the UK that he an elected and currently serving official of one of the arms of the FRN was in the UK? Why should they begin to run around to protect someone who showed them contempt in the first place? At this point I am making the legal blunder of crying wolf before the actual sighting, but my opinion is this: the man is guilty. May he go to jail. Amen. |
Let us not condemn the guy just yet... What happened to innocent until proven guilty? Having said that, what the fv(k with was he doing with a million pounds? In cash for that matter? The man is a bloody criminal and I hope they send him for some hard time in Brixton. |

While it is arguable that they are playing roughly the same role, there are certain things that have to first be understood: 1) Oruma is an AM, while Obodo is a CM. 2) Oruma is at least 5 years older than Obodo 3) Oruma plays in France while Obodo plays in Italy 4) Oruma was never (really) given a chance to flourish in the Super Eagles, while Obodo still has his career ahead of him Having said all that, I want you guys to observe something, ever since Japan 93, Oruma has shown a stunning inability to rise to the big occasion, and that is the simple reason that he failed to bench Okocha on a number of opportunities that he had, and if we are to be honest, he has had a lot of opportunities. The point is this, the Algeria game was an example of a chance he had to put away any doubts as to his ability, but he once again failed to rise to the occasion. Obodo on the other hand rose briliantly to the occasion even scoring a goal in the process. In Sochaux, Oruma was a darling of the fans, but ask this question, why was it that he played only 20 out of 38 league games last season (not due to injury or suspension) if not for the fact that the coach didn't have too much faith in him? Obodo on the other hand was consigned to the bench initially, because of Maresca (and let's not mince words here, Maresca's very good!), but as the season wore on, he broke into Fiorentina's first team playing alongside Maresca in the midfield... Some people will point to his new season at L'OM, and yes, he has started every game for them thus far, but then look at their start to the season... it is Marseille's worst start in 23 years! Comparatively, Obodo has started every game for Udinese this season thus far, and currently (16/9/2005), they are joint top of Serie A and began their first ever Champions League with a 3-0 win! My point is this: Oruma is a player of udoubted ability IMO, but as compared to Obodo... first there is something missing from Oruma's game. When he meets more combative midfielders he surrenders the midfield to them without a fight, something that Okocha would never do which is the reason Oruma failed to bench him, and something that Obodo doesn't do... Obodo! |

ZLATAN Good for you. Lighten up a little. You been sittin' there all quiet. CHXTA I just been sittin' here thinkin'. ZLATAN About what? CHXTA The miracle we witnessed. ZLATAN The miracle you witnessed. I witnessed a freak occurrence. CHXTA Do you know that a miracle is? ZLATAN An act of God. CHXTA What's an act of God? ZLATAN I guess it's when God makes the impossible possible. And I'm sorry Chxta, but I don't think what happened this morning qualifies. CHXTA Don't you see, Zla, that rubbish don't matter. You're judging this thing the wrong way. It's not about what. It could be God stopped the bullets, he changed Coke into Pepsi, he found my fuckin' car keys. You don't judge rubbish like this based on merit. Whether or not what we experienced was an according-to-Hoyle miracle is insignificant. What is significant is I felt God's touch, God got involved. ZLATAN But why? CHXTA That's what's fuckin' wit' me! I don't know why. But I can't go back to sleep. ZLATAN So you're serious, you're really going to quit? CHXTA The life, most definitely. I changed the names ![]() |

nddy:Whilst most people believe these days that 'soccer' is an American bastardised word for football... The name 'soccer' actually originated in England... When the modern game was first developed in england, we had two types of football... Rugby Football and association football... To seperate the 2, Rugby became known as 'rugger' and Association football became 'assoc' which gradually became the term 'soccer'. For a time the name 'soccer' was widely used around the globe Gradually 'soccer' was phased out around the footballing world and 'association football' became jus plain football... When the game was introdued to Northern America, they took the now defunct term 'soccer' as to avoid confusion with their own 'American Football' .... Simple as that ! |

Oga Seun says it's not true, so it can't be true. |
See, get one thing straight... We are legally entitled to offer Rwanda inducements to make them play well, but Angola aren't entitled to do otherwise because that would be match-fixing. |

Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt has been left heartbroken after his new lover Angelina Jolie was caught openly flirting and gazing adoringly at reggae and hip-hop musician Wyclef Jean. The brunette tore the actor’s family dreams apart when she reportedly fell for the solo artist and former member of The Fugees at a Haitian Relief Benefit on Long Island in New York. The chemistry between the glamorous couple was said to be red-hot as Wyclef hit the stage in front of a star-studded crowd, which included actresses Lindsay Lohan and Meryl Streep and rock singer Jon Bon Jovi. But no-one was more into Wyclef’s performance than Ange, 30, who stunned onlookers by gazing lovingly at the singer. In fact, rarely did Ange’s gaze leave the musician as she danced seductively while making eyes at him on the dance floor. At one point, 32-year-old Wyclef even serenaded the mum-of-two and took a sip from her wine glass, the pair getting closer as the night went on. Away from the crowds, the Tomb Raider actress was spotted in a cosy moment with the music man as they strolled together hand-in-hand. https://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a167/cleanblank/handholing.jpg |
Mac and Linux users blacklisted from hurricane relief Administration only gives cash to Microsoft users By Nick Farrell: Thursday 08 September 2005, 07:51 THE NOW very much criticised US Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has stopped Mac and Linux victims of hurricane Katrina from applying for relief. The agency, which is already in hot water for its lack-lustre rescue efforts in New Orleans, has created a web-based service that only works for users of Windows and IE6. So far only Mac users that have Opera, which can make an attempt to show that it is an IE6 machine, are able to access the claims service. According to online magazine Ars Technica, relief workers are frustrated at being tied to Windows by FEMA's online services. They have to spend precious aid money on Windows OS licenses as they set up terminals to help thousands of hurricane victims initiate the claims process. They are complaining that Windows XP workstations take ages to set up, patch and configure, when they could do the whole thing a lot quicker on Linux. Some hardware, which has been donated to the cause, will not run Windows XP. http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=26013 |
Great match... Great Team... MY rating ! Abbiati = 6 (didn't have much to do) Pesso = 6 Kovac = 6 Canna = 6.5 Zambro = 6.5 Camo = 7 Emerson = 6.5 Vieria = 7.5 Nedved = 6.5 Trezegol = 7.5 Zlatan = 6.5 So it is on to go and slaughter Brugge on Wednesday ![]() |
Full time Report... As expected, the second half Juventus defended, slowed Empoli's pace and relied on fast counter attacks. One can notice one difference from last season is that we are able to create something from counter attacks, thanks for Vieira mainly and Nedved partly gaining his form back. Key substitutions from Capello by including the young Balzaretti who played a decent second half. He runs up the flank and has some good long balls, he is aware when it comes to defending and I can only see him improving. Mutu came in for Zlatan just to rest him for Wednesday's CL game. He seemd involved in the game and did some nice passes with Nedved on the left, had a few shots but I expected more of him against a very weak side like Empoli. Zalayeta came in as well to rest Trezeguet and came close to scoring at a couple of opportunities, his moves are getting better and personally he made a better impact than Mutu. The others played as well as they did in the first half and our defenders dealt so well with Empoli's attacks who came closer to scoring in the second half. Kovac and Cannavaor seem to understand each other and Blazaretti is a good sub, I would include him more often. Vieira is defintely our biggest signing and his presence is amazing in terms of defending as well as in terms of passing and flair. We seem to have an amazing midfield line that is capable of creating as we could have ended the game with a few more goals. |
HT Empoli-Juventus (0-3) Good display by the Bianconeri, solid, good passes, total awareness and total domination. This is not a reference as Empoli is very weak team but the good thing is our almost starting elven were able to take advantage of this and just convert almost everything to goals. Trezeguet's finish was pure class coming from a very smart through ball from the long Swede who himself missed lots of opportunities, I see him scoring in the second half if he stays on the pitch. Vieira is an amazing player that is excellent at gaining the ball bac, helping the defenders as well as an incredible passing range, he did some penetrations as well that left the opponents dazzled. Emerson is as good as always and Nedved seems to be on form serving Vieira a nice header for our second and Camoranesi is as good as ever scoring a goal and being involved in the game play. Trezeguet and Zlatan seem to understand each other pretty well and I only see them improving. Kovac was good and there is not need to speak about the others in the back line as their reputation is ahead of them. Abbiati was never tested. |
