Your environment and leadership is a reflection of your own thinking and your own people.

I agree with the general message you’re trying to put across. However, I think you mean ‘culture’ not ‘thinking’.
It’s not wholly evident to me that the white man thinks better than the African. His culture however rewards the product of his mind.

You're all confused.
Which one is sex drive and which one is enjoyment? They both go together.

You can't have high sex drive and not enjoy the act.
Sex drive is part of the enjoyment and enjoyment is part of sex drive.

Sexual drive, urge/libido is cerebral. It is formed in the brain.

Whether the sexual act itself is enjoyed however, is a function of the sexual organs.
If the clitoris (the pleasure hub) is removed, then the capacity to enjoy the act is further reduced.

Of course, lack of sexual pleasure could lead to a reduced sex drive if the person finds sex tedious or even painful.

Here's the thing...

Circumcising a woman doesn't reduce her sex drive... It just ruins her chances of enjoying sex with you... And that's dumb af! undecided

The clitoris doesn't induce (not sure if this is the right word) sexual desire... It's simply helps women achieve orgasms which is near impossible with penetrative sex alone...

So circumcised women still want sex as much as any woman... And with a penis with the right curve they could be pleasured as they deserve...

Female circumcision has to stop!

This statement betrays a hidden level of immaturity. Fix that first, introspect and solve your problems.
Only when you have done that should you consider getting married.

You don’t know that. Whatever this material may be, it’s price will be subject to supply and demand.
If its supply is ubiquitous, then price will not necessarily be higher.

Actually, technology has historically made things cheaper not more expensive. That would be counterintuitive to research and development, don’t you think?

We are not talking about critique of an novel idea but about the realities of business. It remains fact that putting an object in orbit is extra-ordinarily expensive. It remains a fact as well that spinning those huge structures in free-fall in order to obtain enough centrifugal force to mimic the 9.8m/s^2 gravitational acceleration that we feel here on earth is going to put some tremendous pressure on the Engineers that will be designing them. This artificial gravity idea has been with us for more than 60 years now, the reason why it has never been done already is because of the tremendous cost involved. So the question becomes: Is there a market large enough to support a business model that will not only be demanding ridiculously high prices from their customers in way of flight fares but can also pay for the huge over-head involved in pulling off such an operation? My answer is "Not yet".
I like that you said ‘not yet’.
Technology is a slave to business though.

Isn't there a conflict? Who should make sure these imaginary boundaries that you've set are followed? What happens when one party does not follow them? You claim the right to own assault weapon is okay as long as it does not infrfinge on your rights but how do you stop someone who owns 4 or 5 of these weapons and suddenly snaps one day?

Finally, to your cheeky comment about transgenderism. Imagine having a daughter with a life long dream of playing for a professional sports team or going to the olympics only for them to compete against a faster, stronger transgender woman. Furthermore, imagine having a boy in the prime of his life enjoying himself at the club, he sees a beautiful woman, they gel and one thing leads to another, they get a room and bada bada bada.....Oh no the beautiful woman with great boobs is actually a man.

It's easy to talk about rights and this el-doraldo view of human peace but the reality is just so much different. I've only used two examples and you can imagine the awkwardness, I implore you to read real life stories of trans people not disclosing that they are trans, read about the emotional trauma, read about the court cases etc. You were quick to shout bigotry but I bet you never truly researched the issues I highlighted, often times people who argue online do so without real world analysis, talk is cheap my friend, very cheap grin grin grin

Your argument while valid is out of context.
Sports participation and disclosure are kinks of transgenderism that have to be ironed out, not reasons for its prohibition or discrimination against transgenders.

Your argument is like saying people shouldn’t be allowed to drive because they can get drunk and get into accidents.
Obviously, every group has their own issues. Even cisgendered individuals cheat during sports by abusing PEDs to confer themselves undue advantages.
In the dating sphere, catfishing and date rape is rampant in the both cisgendered, heterosexual and homosexual groups.
Should we then discriminate against cisgendered individuals?

The issue here is why shouldn’t transgender individuals be allowed to live with dignity, as long as it does not infringe on your rights?

Ps. Your civility with your responses is very much appreciated. It’s unlike what we see here on Nairaland.

While this sounds all good and warmly, it is nothing but a fool's paradise! Take the last part of your statement and tell me does this apply to the rights to own assault weapons, do drugs and abort without restrictions?

When does your personal liberty and freedom affect mine? Is it until you're doped up and end up causing multiple car fatalities? Is it until you shoot up a school? If the final part of your statement was true, why do most abroad get upset when someone shouts that they hate blacks or jews or gays or women etc?

Finally, what the last part of your comment shows is that humans might naturally want to be liberal but given human tendencies and reputation, we almost always take it too far. A deadly disease has killed millions, is this enough for you to wear mask and give up certain outside activities? (HELL NO, IF WE DIE WE DIE, I AIN'T WEARING NO STINKING MASK)........(Hillbilly, 2020)

Yes Sir, it does. As long as your right to own property such as assault weapons does not infringe on my right to life and freedom, you are free to do as you wish.

This is why I do not lean right or left in political issues because I believe every case is nuanced.

School shootings infringe on individuals’ right to life, so in such cases right to property should be subjugated as the right to life is supreme.

Abortions again are nuanced, I’m pro-abortion because it’s the woman’s body (and I know I’ll catch a lot of flack for this from my Nigerian brethren).
I don’t inherently view the fetus as human until it is born, and it is better to abort than have poorly trained children who are a nuisance to society.

Again you have the right to do drugs, as long as it doesn’t affect my rights.. do you see where I’m going with this?

I personally feel people should be free to do whatever they want as long as it doesn’t infringe on other people’s rights. (It’s an unpopular stance, but it’s my stance)

But then again, what significant rights of yours does transgenderism infringe upon?
Or is the bigotry just too strong? cheesy

It's like you think the world is USA, Canada and their allied forces.

I hate to break it to you, but most of the actual world, not just the countries that are high on your immigration list, is still conservative

Liberalism is just loud, it is definitely not popular around the world. They throw it repeatedly in your face using media, but once you drop your phones, the world is not liberal.

Enter India, China, Kenya, Nigeria, Russia, Ethiopia, Egypt and allow them clear your doubts about where you stand as a black man in comparison to the white man, or whether they acknowledge any gender outside Male or Female.

Most of the world has still not bought into any of these beliefs. It is mostly performative. In reality, the white man still does not believe the black man is equal to him, what laws have done is force the white man to tolerate the black man's presence, but in times of war and distress, the reality of the world we live in does not pander to human rights. It is still survival of the fittest. I am sure we saw enough of that play out in Ukraine.

There is still no regard or respect for the black man from any race. The black race is still bottom of the totem pole and no matter how many rights the black man is given, true equality is not achieved.

It is the same thing now with the gender rights. Liberalism will pander to it, but the reality of the world does not care for these things.

Perception is not the same as reality

Discrimination still exists and will always exist... but we can all come on the internet and pretend that the black man is regarded as equal to the white man. The internet is the number one enabler of delusion.

‘Liberalism’ as a political concept is not just ‘loud’. Liberalism espousing and conferring individual liberty and equality is the reason why you expect to be treated equally before the law as the next man.
It’s the reason why you are free to read and reply this message on the internet. (Ask North Koreans— oh wait, you can’t)

Using liberalism as blanket term, antagonistic to conservatism is wrong because some conservative ideals such as Capitalism, free enterprise and private ownership are inherently liberal tenets.

Hence we should look at issues in context.
Liberals support transgenderism, conservatives do not because it goes against held traditions.

What we have seen through history is that traditions change though. So today, transgenderism may not be accepted throughout the world but in 50 years, that will change.

In response to your concepts about race, I’m reluctant to comment lest I misunderstand you.
What do you mean by reality, in the context of race?
Do you mean that in reality, the white man is not equal to the black man? (Remember, the fact that some bigots do not believe we are equal does not make it reality)
Personally, I do not think about equality in the intrinsic nature of our races. I do not believe all races are equal, I believe we are all unique, just like different races of dogs. It would be ignorant to say for instance that Rottweilers are greater dogs than German shepherds. Each has their strengths and weakness.

I speak for equality in terms of rights especially those of life, freedom, dignity of persons.

Thanks however;I think that our sexual organs ;doesn't make us male or female; What makes us male or female can be found inside;chromosomes ;and brain cells.
Homosexuality has been observed is just about every species it has been looked for. Transgender animals are not as widely known, but may just be a matter of looking for them.

There are certainly some animal examples that are various forms of transgender animals in nature. One is the California Sheephead (Semicossyphus pulcher) which is a fish that is born female, and then can become male later in life. Another example is found in the Green Frog (Rana clamitans) that reverse sex in response to various external factors, and this has been observed in other amphibians as well. But both of these examples are in lineages of animals that are pretty distantly related to us humans.

Well, research published a couple of years ago in the African Journal of Ecology is an example much closer to us. In a paper by Gilfillan et al. from the University of Sussex, five lionesses in Botswana have been observed to grow manes, regularly roar and scent mark, mount other females, and display other very male-like behaviors such as killing the cubs of rival prides which females lions just about never do but is very common for male lions.

This is a mammal we are talking about.

Lions that are female in body, but male in behavior.

In the wild.

I don’t think we disagree on the concept of gender identity, dysphoria, expression or transgenderism.
I agree wholly with you actually.

My comment, if you understood it correctly, wasn’t a critique of your post which I fully agree with but a criticism of so called social behavior research in animals.

And to that point, I’m also concerned about the study you cited. A lioness showing male traits is all good and supportive of social changes till you factor in the fact that the lioness grew a mane.
Manes are significant of biological changes, and hence those socio-behavioral changes cannot be attributed to psycho-social and cognitive changes alone in the lionesses in the face of such a significant confounder.

In humans, we know that optimally functioning biological females can have gender dysphoria with normal gonadal function (no symptoms of virilization or hormonal imbalances).
This lioness exhibits male traits and biological changes should be investigated.

Doctors refer to people who feel that they belong to the opposite sex from the one they were assigned at birth as transgender individuals. (The term comes from the Latin, where trans- means “on the far side.”)

Gender is based on culturally accepted norms — attitudes or behaviors that are typical for males or females. Gender identity has to do instead with our inner sense of who we are. People often express their gender identity by how they dress or behave.

Meanwhile, sex is determined at conception by the genes each of us inherits from mom and dad. It may become visible by ultrasound several months into pregnancy.
Chromosomes hold genes. They’re the tiny pieces of DNA that tell our cells what to do. Humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes. One pair consists of sex chromosomes . They come in two forms: X’s and Y’s. Women have two X’s. So when they share half of each pair of chromosomes with their offspring, the sex chromosome they offer will always be an X. Men have an X and a Y. So if dad shares an X chromosome with his child, it will make a girl (XX). If he shares a Y chromosome, the child will be male (XY). Or at least, that’s usually the case.
When it comes to sex, researchers have learned that biology can be more complicated than just ‘boy’ or ‘girl.’ For instance, some people carry two X chromosomes mixed with a fragment of a Y chromosome. These people develop into what look to be males. That happens even though the presence of two X chromosomes means that they are female, at least biologically.

It gets even more complicated when gender identity enters the picture. For more than 99 percent of the world’s population, gender identity and biological sex will agree. Such a person is called cisgender. (The Latin prefix cis- means “on the same side.”) But a small share of people experiences a mismatch between sex and gender.

Some of these people grow up feeling like they aren’t the gender the rest of the world — including their parents and doctors — sees them as. This experience is called transgender. The term transgender is distinct from one’s sexual orientation, meaning whether a person is attracted to males or females.

Transgender individuals may outwardly appear male or female. But for reasons that are still unclear, they feel like — and, eventually report knowing themselves to be — the opposite gender. Some may even identify a little bit with both genders.
During pregnancy, genetic factors influence the development of the embryo as it grows into a fetus. An XX person (girl) usually develops ovaries. An XY person (boy) will usually develop testes. In individuals with XY chromosomes, there is a gene on the arm of the Y chromosome, called SRY. This gene signals the development of testes. When an SRY is not present, an ovary will develop. That will then lead to development of the female anatomy. If testes develop, they will go on to produce the male hormone called testosterone (tess-TOSS-ter-own). This hormone instructs the body to make male genitals. It also leads to the development of bigger bones, a brain structure unique to males and other male physical characteristics.
basic biology behind how chromosomes and genes signal the body to take on a female or male anatomy has been known for a long time. Still, researchers are learning a great deal about how much more complex this sex determination is than they had originally thought. And researchers know far less about what drives gender.
For thousands of years, careful observers — namely, parents — have noticed that children at an early stage begin to strongly express a preference for certain toys, colors and clothing. Around this same early age, children also begin to express their gender identity.

As it turns out, the brain appears to play a bigger role in our identity than does anything else, young children and teens who transition to the opposite gender of what doctors had assigned them at birth (based on their apparent biological sex). Some of these children are transgender. Others may have experienced conditions in the womb that led their genitals to develop abnormally

because identity is determined internally, within the complex interactions among the 100 billion cells in his brain.

The brain is a complicated soup of chemicals, Reiner points out. Somehow, these chemicals add up to something whose “total is much larger than the sum of its parts.” Part of that sum is who we see ourselves as. Our identity. “And part of that,” , “is whether we’re male and female.” The gender assigned to a newborn is based on what that baby’s body looks like. Yet that outward identity, while important, “is not the only part,”

By looking at someone’s body, or even mapping that person’s genes, “We can’t really answer the question of what identity is.” That, remains hidden within the inner workings of our brain.

Transgenderism is unique to humans. Yet research has turned up lots of variety within the sexual development and behavior of animals. Like people, animals exhibit behaviors typical of males and females. Still, many social and other behaviors in animals do not fit neatly into those categories, notes Paul Vasey. He works at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada. As a comparative psychologist, he studies how behaviors in humans and animals differ or appear the same.

With such a wide range of differences in sexual development and behaviors in the animal kingdom (see Explainer: Male-female plasticity in animals), Vasey says that it’s not surprising to see similar variation among people too. “There’s a continuum,” he concludes “— in both the animal kingdom and in humans.”

I think the study of gender roles in animals may be confounded by the superimposition on animals of expected gender roles based on human experiences and society.

The lion pride is a typical example. The male lion doesn’t play the typical male role as we expect in human society in terms of hunting food for the pride — the lionesses hunt for the pride.
This is just one example that comes to mind but I believe there are a lot more surprising variations in the wild.
I however agree that gender roles definitely exist in the wild.

I hope the holders of those passports never have to go farther than the North Americas, because for most of the world, you will still be identified as the gender (sex) you were born by.

If you die and your body rots, your skeletal form will still be as the skeleton of either a male or a female. Nothing in between, that is the beauty of DNA and the human form.

What human history has shown is that liberal values always win in the end.

The white man once held conservative beliefs of how delusional the black man’s beliefs of equality was.
History has shown that the conservative white man is the deluded one.
Conservatism is not inherently right.

It is clearly you don't know anything. Did you read up my discussions before I typed this?
Didn't I mentioned when you make some moves, if she react in a particular way it means she is not into you? And you should stop.

Did I mention men should forceful finger or massage the boobs? If you can't understand, I will help you. I am talking of gentle persistency, not forcefully having your way.

What girl that wants it will gladly open their legs for a man she barely knows, a lady will show a little resistance, by removing your hands and not being violent about it, until she lets you in.
You obviously don't have pussy to dig, you a bloody virgin. Normal niggas will understand this.

You think you sound woke but you dumb and boring.

You are dumb and cannot read.
Do you know what sexual assault means?
Do you know what rape means?

You don't know the atmosphere surrounding sex. Lol if you want to press boobs. If you are alone with a lady lying with you on your bed.
Do you think you will ask her can I press your boobs
Even if she is into you, you will kill the moment and she will dump you.
Or after pressing boobs you will ask, can I finger?
Or you will ask can I penetrate.

You don't know what sex is. Sex is the language of the body. It doesn't need any words to tell what you want, it is your body that does the speaking. If she doesn't want it, her body will speak and any reasonable man will stop.

The lady that the two of us had an encounter, at first she showed a little gentle resistance, she needs it but she wouldn't want to make it easy for someone she barely knows.
I could tell from her body, and it went well. She comes back everyday, for it.

I also read the body language of another girl, I knew she wasn't into it, so I stop.
Go get some real life experience.

These are it

1. It is not usually planned. It just happened, just don't simply go and be touching breast or be asking what do you want to eat, or be entertaining. Just be normal like say na your fellow guy come your room. When the time comes to attack you will know.

2. Don't be too chatty, when you talk too much it reduces the sex drive of a lady. When you become too chatty or asking stupid questions it is a big distraction. Make her busy with your phone or laptop that have movies. Just leave her alone.

3. You can then go and join her. You too by this time are very close. Don't make any attempt just watch without asking questions.

4. When you make your move, don't touch her sensitive part like boobs or pussy or even ass. Touch places like the hands or legs or laps. Maybe by rolling just a single finger in a seductive way.

5. She is supposed to say stop it or move away, still go on and do it. There will be a time she will not resist.

6. Keep doing it, then poke her breast and then her ribs sidesto tickle them like a child. She is expected to laugh instinctively. If she doesn't stop she is not into you. You can play with her nipples and poke it, suck it until it is erect.

7. Then you start cuddling, then grabbing.

8. If she shows no resistance you finger her.

9. If she is trying to protect her pussy, you can suck her while her pants her still on.

10. No need for kissing her mouth, kiss her neck, belly, suck her boobs. I will advice you not to kiss her mouth. This isn't lovers romance. You are there for business. Some ladies get irritated Sha. They can allow you to Bleep but not kiss. Kissing looks more sacred to them than Bleep. Ashawo too no go gree you kiss them. Respect ladies. Just suck and play with her nipples.

11. Bring out your hard dick. They suck her boobs and finger it, wear protection Sha. Some won't allow you to enter without protection. Sink your hard dick inside her pussy.

12. Bleep slowly, and then increase your tempo. If you are done, still try to Bleep her again until you have no sperm in your dick.

13. If she comes back, you start from number 8, no time for chitchat. When she comes don't talk about love. Let her watch or play with your phone. And continue from number 8.

And all this only works if you are a cool guy. You don't make noise in your apartment. You don't bring yourself low. Make sure you have something a lady will want to come to your room. Like gen or laptop with movies, song or something.

13 simple steps to get convicted for sexual assault.

Guys, No means No. Do not touch a woman without her permission. I don’t know when stupid shit like this became acceptable. I’m absolutely dumbfounded that some people are liking it as well.

If you make a move on a woman and she resists, please do not continue. Ask her to leave, or you leave.
If she’s playing games, she would learn you do not play games. And if she’s interested, she’ll outrightly consent.
Please do not rape a woman like the idiot I’m quoting has suggested.

Nigeria tried if we are being honest.
Considering our population, our contribution is abysmal.

We need to find ways to get more out of our human capital.

Part of the signs corporate employers look out for in smart candidates is emotional intelligence.

As you've said already, if there's a widespread cultural perception associating leg chain with promiscuity, why then would a candidate wear a visible leg chain to an interview? Isnt that implying to the employer that the candidate isnt emotionally aware of the local business culture and that that might rub off negatively on clients or customers?

You can't go to culturally sensitive environments like China, Japan and India and be challenging them on why they aren't employing you because you are expressing your "liberality', that would be very d*mb.

You have to respect and understand how things are done in wherever you find yourself to get what you want. That's a core part of being smart.

Like I said in an earlier comment, she should have been wary of the cultural perceptions.

What I have an issue with is people calling her irresponsible or questioning her morals because of her choice of accessory. That is such disgusting judgement coming from hypocrites.

I maintain that what she did wasn’t inherently wrong. She was just in the wrong place.
Trust me no one is looking at your anklet at a job interview in the states. I work in a top medical research institution in the states, and trust me these geniuses’ dress code, piercings and hair dyes would probably make you tear your hair out.
It’s not about how they look, it’s about what they can offer intellectually. I’ll always maintain this, we need to change this backward culture.

You be oponu.

Can a CEO of a western company put a bling bling chain over a suit in the west .....

Most of you are retards
I wouldn’t normally respond to a rude comment like yours. Lack of civility and resorting to name calling without provocation portrays intellectual inferiority.

However, I must point out that your analogy doesn’t fit the circumstance.
A leg chain (gold or silver) is hardly out of place in a corporate attire, just as we wouldn’t consider earrings or neck laces to be out of place.
It’s just a cultural association of leg chains with promiscuity and irresponsibility that is the problem.

We should tackle the superficiality of most Nigerian judgements, because we focus on the wrong things.
Instead of assessing her intellect and fit for the job, they focused on her choice of accessories. Shows the company has their priorities in the right place.

What has a leg chain got to do with the job, was the question... Now the answer is... What is the work of the leg chain on the leg...

I have come to a conclusion that many people don't have any tangible reasons as to why they do some certain things in this life, because u see other people do it, u too just want to do it...

If for example my friend who is a musician tints his hair, pierce his ear and draws tattoo on his body (just to promote his hustle) and because it looks good on him, then me an aspiring banker or a medical doctor should i now go and do same, just because it looks good... Anyway I digress

This empty skull headed girl, would see it as normal and something accepted by the general public...

Am happy she did not get the Job... Cause her appearance has already showed she's irresponsible...

Your argument makes no sense, Sir.
There is nothing inherently wrong with her choice of accessory, and it in no way portrays irresponsibility.

This is just a reflection of how overly conservative our culture is. She, for better or worse, should have been wary of this.
I wouldn’t deny someone a job based on a relatively insignificant accessory like a leg chain. But to each their own.

She wasn’t wrong. She is just in the midst of cultural cavemen.

How were the pyramids built without oil revenue or resources?
We can implement a system to accomplish these things. For example, corpers who studied civil engineering, Architecture, quantity surveying,Mechanical engineering ,Buildings, welding, electrical engineering, etc can be provided with equipment and posted or assigned to build specific road as service to the nation. we already have corpers doing small projects like water projects and other minor developments . we dont have to borrow any money . We can do the same with agriculture by assigning and corpers who studied agriculture and geology .

we can also implement mandatory community service for prisoners to accomplish some heavy duty task.

You are unrealistically idealistic in your thinking of the problem.
Let’s assume the manpower is available and are willing to work without pay (ignoring the fact that this is tantamount to slavery), the physical resources for achieving those goals still have to be sourced, some imported, foreign exchange is needed as well as international cooperation.

The pyramids were built by slaves of a wealthy great civilization.
Ancient Egypt was not surviving on world bank loans.

Nigeria needs a patriotic and detribalized dictator, instead of these softies.
Nigeria needs to adopt 80 percent socialism (communalism) and 20 percent capitalist . The current 100 percent capitalist system is not favorable to Africans.
The solution now:
Demolish everything and build mass housing like these for the poor.
demolish all villages and use the lands as farm lands. ban all importations . Enact swift death penalty for ritual killing, kidnapping, armed robbery, corruption .

While reading your post, I couldn’t tell if you were joking or not. But since it seems you’re actually serious, I’ve got a question.
“From whence do you anticipate the funds for implementation of these socialist/communist policies will come from?”

Your country is borrowing to survive, and you risk alienating the west by leaning towards socio-communist systems.

Nigeria, and Africa as a whole needs a system that reflects its realities, tailor made for its environment and needs, and not a blind adoption of already available systems.

From where will this ‘messaic’ system that promises to solve Nigeria and Africa’s problems come from?
Hopefully, minds of people like you who are actively thinking of the problem. You just have to think outside the box.
