Politics › Is Rigging Part Of The Electoral Process In Nigeria? by cicero(op): 8:02am On Mar 01, 2023 |
Looking at previous elections up to the just concluded 2023 election, it is clear that rigging of elections is embedded in the psyche of most Nigerians as part of the electoral process. The pattern is to rig the election, get in, and legitimize your steal with the judiciary.
So, is rigging an unwritten, accepted method of electioneering in Nigeria? |

If the election was free and fair, May you live long, if not, May you…. undisputedKOC: We really appreciate Peter Obi's input in helping President Tinubu to win the 2023 elections free and fair. As you all know, Peter Obi was able to successfully divide and reduce PDP votes in the South East and South South.
Here on this side we always reward loyalty and repay favors. So for the incoming administration of his Excellency, President Tinubu - GCFR, should we make Peter Obi:
1. Minister of Lies, since he lies too damn much;
Or
2. Special Adviser for Beer Distribution? |
Politics › Re: Lesson My Fellow Igbo Brothers Should Learn About Nigeria Politics by cicero(m): 8:16am On Feb 27, 2023 |
With this mindset I doubt if you’re doing well in your personal life or you are the one being emotional. 1. The igbos have never supported any Igbo man the way they supported Peter Obi, not even Ojukwu, so it is not a pattern 2. We have always fought to align with the government in power and would have done that if Obi hadn’t emerged. Forming alliances has never been our problem. 3. The hatred for the igbos in Nigeria is not because of politics, it has more to do with the Igbo man’s spirit of hardwork and enjoying their successes loudly. It has to do with the Igbo man’s ability to thrive in any part of Nigeria which is misconstrued. 4. Peter Obi is the best of all the candidates if you want to be honest. He has an impeccable pedigree, unblemished public record that is verifiable 5. The Igbo has the most majority of detribalized population in Nigeria. Most times they are responding to the taunting of bigots from other tribes. The igbos refer to themselves as ‘Ojemba enwe ilo’. They have no enemies. 6. The igbos are more likely to get back up faster if anything happens to Nigeria. Remember, before the unfortunate civil war, they were leading in almost everything and after the war, the regionalization was introduced to weaken them and they were given the famous 20 pounds, but they’ve come back up. This is why I weep for the Igbo boy’s shouting Biafra with criminals. They have a better, much dignified path to greatness and self determination inside them but they’ve chosen a more average path. 7. The best and most honorable of Igbo sons and daughters are not in politics. The Igbo political leadership is present hijacked and championed by former, unrepentant criminals and lazy never do wells whose only goal is to do anything to get money into their pockets. They are the worst and weakest of the Igbo stock. 8. Peter Obi has made the Igbo proud. He eminently qualifies to be the leader of the Igbo race. DAVIDMOE: The first lesson my brothers should learn is that you don't play politics with emotions. Politics is a war and all the contestant use everything in their disposal to fight it.
The only way for an Igbo man to grab that presidential power is through alignment with other people, but will that happen when we abuse others? No.
If Tinubu becomes president today, El rufai will start nursing the idea of contesting after him because he played a major role in making Tinubu a president.
However, when it comes to my igbo brothers forming alliance with others, our bad mouth will distroy everything.
No body is clean in politics! It is all about personal interest and game of numbers.
I would have loved the outcome of this election if we "the igbos" would have voted en mass for a much popular candidate. At least, when the person wins, we will have hope of getting presidency one day.
We voted against the two major parties which means we may wail for another 4 years |

Farooq. Your permutations are dead on arrival. All they dynamics you mentioned were at play until 2023 elections.
Remember your phones intellect didn’t factor in a 3rd force whose growth and popularity has been nothing but phenomenal.
If you, Farooq, and your likes wanted a better Nigeria, you would have put your weight behind Obi. There is not much difference between you and Deji Adeyanju, Reno and other chameleon Nigerian patriots.

Good, atleast you’ve confirmed he has a father unlike the other guy whose village is not known not to mention his father. Another good reason to vote Peter Obi Peter Obi's father was alleged drowned with a big stone around his neck by an opposing drug gang to his.
His Igbo political opponents know this and believe it runs in his family. He's alleged to come from a criminally charged background dating to his Father, murdered the Chicago mafia style. Drowned with stone tied around his neck as per Google search.

This is my honest, unpartisan, and unbiased observation, everyone seems to be campaigning against Peter Obi. The opposition parties like APC, PDP, NNPP, FFK, RO, DA, NL, CCS, AAO, etc, are all campaigning against Peter Obi with lies, propaganda, and photoshop. Their campaign rallies are made of shouting 'Peter Obi' 98% of the time and using the remaining 2% to do skits.

If Obi had been Atiku vice this year, Then they would have been writing their speech right now.

2. Make Obi continue to be popular in his base, even if he can have 90% of each South East States
3. Make APC northern governors continue to be loyal to the Party. |
