Amaechi is the the most popular man in Nigeria. You even hear his name every day on radio stations. I have this feeling most rivers people are dafts, they said Wike open court, open assembly. Who closed it before? 5 lawmakers closed the house of assembly against the others, chasing people away. Impunity from a woman. Now foolish people say Wike don open court and assembly |
christinie:Am not An Atheist either, but too many of you Christains even drive people away from God, that's why this country has more churches everywhere and still has the worst set of people in it. See how the previous poster is trying to ans in a more civilized way, although not correct though. But too many Christians are quick to curse. |
FYI, get your facts right, Bishop Oyedepo never prophesied that Gej would win. He only prayed for him.[/quote]If he only prayed for him, why didn't the prayers work? And why did he not pray for Buhari whom God has already chosen. Just like Kings being prayed for in the Bible when chosen. |
christinie:Now please tell me, when I go yo place a bet, I pray God please show me where to bet. I finally place a stake on a certain team, and win, was it God that answered or directed? And if you claim God spoke to you, did you not ask Him questions? Just like yhe Bible said Moses had a chat? Don't demons also appear to people? You have a dstv? Channel 170,171 |
Considering the fact many people say They received a message deom God in recent times, inclusive of Nigerian pastors,if they can truly hear From God, why haven't they given the country a solution e.g the prophecy of famine according to David in tge Bible. Most Nigerian pastor who claimed God gave them vission about the tge presidential seat, that Gej will win, because they felt God was a Christian. IBEYEOME, BISHOP OYEDEPO, OPM. AND OTHERS, could it be wrong signals. Ur opinions please. |
Please no one should comment under me, this op is trying to raise unnecessary tension. So bro THREAD CLOSED |

stebell:Same way Amaechi started, 2019 another Ikwerre man will come and quarrel Wike, and win as well, making this an Ikwerre state. Riverine people are dafts |
Its congratulatory to see how the Rivers State Governor has been working after been elected Governor, but a lot of questions comes to mind, because politicians can never be trusted. Is he doing al these, just in case the elections were cancelled? He was Minister for Education during Gej tenure, why didn't he put such energy? This man was also under Ameachi, but wasn't noted for credibility. Will he continue in the same pace if he later wins at the Tribunals? Is he already campaigning for the next elections just in case. It seems opposition makes people sit up, when it was a one way government (pdp) we didn't see this much fron any leader, except for the likes of Amaechi who was also in opposition. Opposition has improved electricity, it has reduced corruption a little. It has made those who looted fall ill. What's your take? |
I have observed many Christians, the reason at which they try to live a much holier life is because they fear that their God who loves them will kill/destroy them if they don't serve him. Believe me that is slavery, and there isn't any free will exercised. This means you worship God, not out of your love, but out of fear. They tell you, many are in the hospitals, many are dead. But refuse to say why many are allowed to be in the hospitals. And also forgetting their Bible says the dead is better than the living, and who them never born beter pass. Take out death, hell, poverty, and see how many Christians will be loyal to God |
The governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the just concluded general elections in Rivers State, Prince Tonye Princewill, has said he would not be surprised if the courts annulled the 2015 governorship election in the state. The LP governorship candidate described the April 11, 2015 governorshipl election, which saw the emergence of Governor Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike as the worst in the history of the state. This is as Anglican Bishop of Evo Diocese; Rt. Rev. Innocent Ordu, has called on politicians in Rivers State to emulate the political lifestyle of LP governorship candidate, following his peaceful, non-violent disposition during and after the general elections in the state. Princewill, in a statement issued in Port Harcourt yesterday, wondered what the outcome of a re-run election in the state would be, if the courts eventually nullified the April polls, saying he would continue to be on the side of the people of the state. He said, “Truth be told, the annulment of the elections in Rivers State, will not surprise me; but what will be the outcome of a re-election? My stand is with the people of Rivers State. I have a feeling I know what they want. We’ll see! “I stand boldly to say that the April elections were the worst in our history; but by our constitution, Governor Nyesom Wike was sworn in, thanks to INEC. He is, therefore, the governor and has a constitutional duty to govern the state, till further notice.” Princewill, who denied rumours that his petition was recently struck out by the state governorship elections petition tribunal, called for prayers for Wike, whom he said , remained the governor of the state, having been declared so by INEC. The former governorship hopeful said, “So even if rumours cooked up by mischief-makers, state that my case was recently struck out, the majority that follow and understand my activities know that I have no business with the Rivers State Election Petitions Tribunal. It was not my case. “He (Wike) needs the support and prayers of all to achieve that. I refused to approach the tribunal for many reasons, some which I made public, but one major reason was the fact that men of God I respect, told me not to. And when I prayed about it, my mind was at peace. It still is.” Ordu, who spoke in Port Harcourt, at the end of the 3rd session of the 2nd Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Evo, commended Princewill for his peaceful disposition and called on those who lost elections in the state to prayerfully accept the outcome and stop upsetting the peace of the state for the sake of the common good of the people. He said, “We think strongly that politicians of other political parties in Rivers State have a lot of moral lessons to learn from one of their own, Tonye Princewill, the flag-bearer of the Labour Party at the last gubernatorial election in the state. His peaceful, non-violent disposition before, during and after the elections deserve our commendation and those of other well-meaning Rivers people. “We encourage all who lost the elections in the state to prayerfully accept the outcome and stop upsetting the peace of the state for the sake of our common good. Power comes from God and He chooses the one to give it to at any time.” leadership.ng/news/451465/election-tribunal-may-annul-rivers-guber-poll-princewill |
Last week, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike asked President Muhammad Buhari not to appoint his predecessor, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, as minister if he (Buhari) wants his fight against corruption to be looked at with credibility. Buhari had revealed in far away United States of America, during his four-day visit, that he would announce his cabinet in September. Amaechi was among those who accompanied Buhari on the trip. In a release by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Opunabo Inko-Tariah, Wike described Buhari’s anti-corruption campaign as selective, saying it would be dismissed as laughable if Amaechi makes the ministerial list. amaechiThe comment attracted a swift reaction from Ken Minimah, Chairman of Legacy Group, who wondered why the governor was convulsing over what role, if any, Amaechi may play in the new scheme of things instead of focusing on governance for which he was elected, albeit temporarily. According to Minimah, it was the same Wike, who called Amaechi “the modern governor” (Channels TV’s SUNRISE) comparable only to Chief Alfred Diete Spiff, because of the massive infrastructural development that took place in Rivers between 2007 and 2015, that “now spews garbage bags of infectious lies about corruption and misappropriation”. He pondered over what has changed between then and now, that suddenly Amaechi must now be destroyed. The Legacy Group leader said he was surprised that Wike was not sober after he has been unjustly aided to take over the Port Harcourt Government House by the troika of INEC, security agencies and the Presidency under former President Goodluck Jonathan. “We would have thought that the travails of the soon to be exposed Resident Electoral Commissioner, Gesila Khan, should be a source of bother for the impostors”, he added. He posed several questions: “Why has the governor abandoned governance and refusing to take advantage of the little time he has to reinvent and perhaps make a token of a good name for himself? Why is the governor wasting his precious time running after Amaechi who has moved on graciously after serving the state meritoriously for eight years? Why is the governor convulsing over what role, if any, Amaechi may play in the new scheme of things? Why is the consuming fear of what Amaechi will become tomorrow? Does he want to fight God and His plan for Amaechi? Why is the governor scared of the political destiny of Amaechi in the politics of the South- South and Nigeria in general? Why is the governor desperate about what type of relationship that exists between Buhari and Amaechi?” Minimah said a well positioned Amaechi will help to drive the development of the state from the federal level, especially with regard to recovering the stolen oil wells as against Wike’s reckless and disorderly pursuit of the shadows of his benefactor even as he asked the governor to answer the following questions: Is this bring-down-Amaechi-posture in the interest of Rivers State and its people? Isn’t it a probability that a well positioned Amaechi will help to drive the development of the state from the federal level, especially with regard to recovering the stolen oil wells? Why must Wike’s personal interest be more important than the interest of the state? According to him, it is sad that that despite the painful betrayal of Amaechi by some of the people he has lifted politically over the years and the recent gang up and attempt by the same people to tarnish his image, his legacy in Rivers and the emerging story of a better Nigeria remain unshakable irrespective of whatever role he may play now and in the future. He asked Wike to tell the people of Rivers how many month(s) salary arrears his regime inherited. He also asked him to produce the total amount of the salary arrears he has paid and how much was in the state coffers on May 29, 2015 when he assumed office. The governor was also tasked on how much he has received from the Federation Account since May 29, how much he has borrowed from the banks as well as the way the funds were spent. On the achievements of Amaechi as governor, Minimah stated: “We are confident that his legacy is firmly etched on the hundreds of schools that he built, hundreds of kilometres of roads that he built, hundreds of primary health care centres and hospitals that he built, thousands of students who benefited from his free education in Rivers and across the country as well as those sent on scholarships to study overseas, the various projects in agriculture, transport, entrepreneurship, industries, housing, etc. We are confident that Amaechi’s legacy is secure not by the unsteady grips of men but by the firm hands of his Creator. Irrespective of what Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi chooses to do in contributing further to the progress of this great country today or in the years ahead, his place in history has been safely bookmarked and can never be deleted by those who are tormented by his God bestowed favour and ability to work through the valleys of uncertainty, betrayal and tribulation. We call on the people of Rivers whose votes were violently violated to remain vigilant and protect the legacy of a man who is ever ready to put in everything he has for state and country” |

Taking a good look at the way campaigns went, the heat prior to the elections. The violence encountered in Rivers state during campaign (Okrika). Shutting down the assembly complex, hereby making honourables jump over the fence. And yet the APC still came out Victorious. One begins to wonder, can the PDP survive without being in control again? |
Hmmm |
