una dey see this TLS world people?? did interview since 26th august.. did 2nd phone interview on 16th september, havent heard anything since.. yesterday i emailed ukvi to complain, they replied that a decision has been made and i should forward my details to enable them investigate why i havent gotten back my passport, lo and behold i just opened my email now and i'm seeing application assessed and document ready for collection mail dropped at the same time from tls. It has been with them this whole time. i paid for courier but i wont even wait. first bus tomorrow from benin to abuja

I'll be travelling this October for a two years masters programme but will like to know a few things to help me plan my movement.

1. Please I will like to know if I get married in April next year, can my spouse apply for dependent visa *immediately* or is it advisable to wait after a few months b4 my spouse applies?

2. How much does my spouse need to show for maintenance fee in the bank statement?

3. Should this amount also include my own balance maintenance since I will already be in the uk?

4. Will the amount be in my spouse account or mine?

5. I intend booking a return flight becos I will need to come back early next year for my wedding. Will the return flight cover for my ticket back to Nigeria in April for my wedding or the return flight is specifically for me to return back at the end of my two years course?

6. What other supporting documents will my spouse need apart from marriage certificate and maintenance fee?

Please, can one use a 35 days printed statement of Account, even if it's still within the 28 days window for Visa Application, or it must be 28 days printed statement of Account and within 28 days window for VISA Application?..Thank you. I will be sharing this with a friend as he's confused.

I don't stay in Abuja but I have been notified that it has been handed over to DHL. Since they don't work on Saturday I look forward to Monday then.

In the decision email there is a portion that says "doc will be returned to VAC... Unless you paid for the courier fee it will be returned directly to you."

This means I don't have to get in touch with TLS?

I doubt ooh. I called DHL few minutes ago I was told they have not received the documents from TLS. . I am looking for TLS Abuja number to call them.

If you have extra funds, travel with Kenya Airways. Those Emirates guys might not refund till December.
Kenya Airways is cheap (£337), just that you will layover at the airport for 13 hours.

Issue: What will happen if i don't escalate my non-settlement visa application after the due 15work day?

Well, i am an applicant . I did my bio on 01-09-2020 and have not gotten any response yet.
Like i mentioned above, i decided not to escalate to know what the outcome will be, so that i can inform you guys for better understanding of the escalation stuff.

I will feel anxious, like every other person but will not escalate my case.

I beg you all not to relay on what i said. Let this not encourage you not to escalate . Infact, it is a big risk on you side if you don't escalate. Call this number if you are due. + 44 203 481 1736 for instant escalation and remember to have some fund in you account . Not lesser than 6k to be sure.

I will not escalate my application because i want to learn about the real outcome and how dutiful the UK people are. If there are more risk you want me to experiment, please let me know. I will be more than willing to take it.

I got no email whatsoever until the TLS collection email, no BRP or decision email.
So you're not the only one.

I will love a situation where TLS will include sms notification as an option in their visa tracking. More revenue to them but more service to people.

Advantages:

1. Redundant notification: People who their application mistakenly shows DMC on the web but have actually been transferred to VAC can get a transfer to VAC sms. So that trouble shooting visa tracking will be easier for applicants. There will be more ways of tracking.

2. Un-expected excitement: Imagine checking the web daily for visa tracking but read a transferred to VAC sms as you woke up from the bed or as you are offline most of the time, compared to how often you read your sms.

3. Information reliability: Getting same notification from web tracking and sms is a strong indication that there is no question about your transferred to VAC info.

I would love to hear people get this kind of experience.

I googled opening hour tls Abuja and it shows that they will be open: Thursday 07:30 - 16:00 ( independence Day) opening hours may vary.

While for Lagos I didn't find anything. Just try call them as from 9 am.
