Let me give you this illustration. I know a guy who built a house while he was financially buoyant, along the line things became so hard cos contracts were not forthcoming. If not for the house he built in Lagos that he was staying in, he might have been forced to relocate to his village.

So once you have the money, build your own house, it just might come in handy one day!

My personal story.

I once stepped into Christ embassies white house. The building is just behind the Church complex. I was astonished by the share wealth and extravagant furnishing in the building. I couldn't believe that was what my little contributions as tithes and donations go to.
It was way beyond an average wealthy man's taste.
I simply can't describe how astonished i was.
I walked right past the lobby up until the 3rd floor. I guess it was miracle on my part. God simply revealed to me the stupendous wealth and lavish living of most of these pastors. I hardly go to church now cuz to me , they are nothing more than money making ventures.
Then i heard this story which was true. About Bishop Oyedepo trying to evade Ghanaian Tax laws by stuffing vehicles tires with hard currencies and drove then all the way to Nigeria. I was hugely disappointed.
Am so disappointed that you could stoop this low to bash a man of God. How much money will you stash in the tires of a car and how many cars will you send?

Think about it now!

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it

Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

Politics / Re: Cement Decrease Very Difficult - Dangote by cinzo: 8:17am On May 20, 2011
Why must every industry in Nigeria be concentrated in the hands of a few people? What happened to free entry and exit in the market.

If you decide to produce your cement in Nigeria and I decide to import from China, so bloody what? I pay duties for the importation don't I? It is now left for the FG to use the duties I pay to put in place infrastructure that will make it better for me to produce in Nigeria than to import.

There is no way cement prices will be low in as much as power generation is not tackled. I have been to WAPCO-Larfarge in Sagamu and the amount of power those people consume is staggering.
Politics / Re: Cement Decrease Very Difficult - Dangote by cinzo: 8:07am On May 19, 2011
What baffles me is why the FG is always bending over backward to accommodate the cement manufacturers. There is no way they can produce at a cheaper rate cos you have to factor the cost of production which can be very high due to lack of power.

In the short term, importing might be the best way out pending when the power situation can be fixed.
Politics / Re: Cement Decrease Very Difficult - Dangote by cinzo: 7:57am On May 19, 2011
Arrant nonsense! They should deregulate the market and see if the prices will not come down.

Steady power for my area for like a month now, funny enough in Lasgidi ( 19- 20 hrs everyday)  grin  . . .but it dares not rain cos any rainfall sends us into darkness for like 3-5 days uninterrupted power failure . .  which kin life be that ( searching for those rain holding juju people) . .but wait oh! una wan begin score the current administration already. don't be too desperate cos places like Oshogbo do have steady 20-23 power supply non stop, so you have to take into consideration the power consumption of a state.
I heard its from Oshogbo that Abuja is supplied light. When I served there in 2004/05 blackout was alien.
