Brai777:

I rarely add comment on NL, we are ignorant and most of the time we make un-informed comments. I am not here to defend the CBN governor. I work in the financial sector and if you know the damage these BDC mallams are doing to the economy you will weep for the country. These BDC mallams buy so much US dollars, failed to render account of how the US dollar was used by way of injection into the economy, they sell to your corrupt politicians who then carry the raw cash $$$$$$ under diplomatic passport to Dubai, China, India and other countries with lenient anti money laundry laws.

More than 80% US Dollar sold by CBN find its way outside Nigeria and that is why despite weakening US Dollar, Naira could not appreciate. If you have a genuine need for US dollar, take your documents to bank and buy at N151 -N154.

Am surprised at your comment, Soludo banned the activities of the BDC when he was gov but Sanusi came in and gave them his blessings to carry on as usual. So who should we blame now

Business / Re: Kalahari Nigeria - How Good Is The Online Shop? by cinzo: 5:47pm On Jul 04, 2011
@bi ilw wu, You come across as a very daft human being! I bought an ipod for my nephew for his birthday from an online shop in Nigeria oh! I paid into their account and they delivered to my office. Gave it to the birthday boy and the ipod never worked for a day.

All my calls to them to change the defective ipod proved abortive as they were asking me to bring it to their shop. What I have discovered is that most Nigerians in their bid to make fast money feel if you are comfortable or you have money, you must have stolen it hence they need to cheat you out of some of it.

I have decided that if I can't touch it before I buy it then its not worth the stress

Thanks Sienna, I will tell the mechanic to get me a replacement. Once again I appreciate your input.

I also want to ask if that is the reason the rpm of the engine is high at idle? When you start the car the RPM always hovers at around 1300.

2. I heard that removal of CAT actually decreases fuel consumption.

The catalytic converter was blocked and the mechanic had to remove it. Am thinking of driving it like that. What are the advantages and disadvantages?
Autos / Rough And Eratic Rpm by cinzo: 9:44pm On Jun 21, 2011
What could be the cause of a car idling at above 1000rpm and the rpm needle not being stable? And what can that do to the performance of the car and the engine in the long run?
Car Talk / Driving A Car Without Catalytic Converter by cinzo: 9:41pm On Jun 21, 2011
Hi house, I want to ask what are the advantages and disadvantages of driving a car without a catalytic converter?

Thanks.
