Fhemmmy: I have never tried Whatsapp before oh, send me the link to the application maybe could try it on madam's phone or my daughterswhat OS? |
mj: The part i like most "shoot first, zoom later" without sacrificing image quality.a potent weapon indeed |
Fhemmmy: Chairman, i beg school me jare and tell me more . . .it's like whatsapp and skype combined ![]() |
The naming convention though. 1020 sounds wierd ![]() |
Fhemmmy: Please which one is that one, note that most of those applications are rarely used here . . .viber is gaining wide acceptance in Nigeria probably because more folk now go for iDevices and Droids. It offers some features not on BBM |
F.K.O:I didn't imply you did o was talking about them folks over there who are busy insulting each other |
F.K.O:when folks start to rain insults on each other's ancestors and progeny, that's where the problem is |
Fhemmmy: I am looking forward to it as well oh . . .I doubt it can catch up with the likes of viber. I'm talking globally now not just in Nigeria |
When will Nigerians learn to keep their noses out of others' business? If I decide to get a mesh desktop of $3000 just because I want to play all my games at 1080p and ultra with more than 60fps it's my business. If I decide to go budget and get an Ankermann gamer which can play the same games at $800, it's also my business. All these comparison of A vs B is just uncalled for. They were made for different markets and each is thriving in it's market. |
joeydozzy: does that warrant you kissing us? ![]() |
tolu_ernanes: bottom line is, for those who are really into top end specs and really know what make a good tab tick, this isn't for you especially if you can afford better. However, I think Tecno are targeting a demographic that largely covers Nigerians thatTrue Words |
30card: now its if atutu recognize tecno and it can compete with a 2012 tab, pls try to be fair when having a debate , with d comparism we see the n9 outing the sammy tab 2 10.1 and standing a little toe to toe with nexus 7.considering it's a 2013 tablet, it's not so impressive. Android tablets has never been samsung's strength, else they would've produced a worthy competitor for the ipad. That tab 2 is old though |
obyrich: NPC should also update us on the rate of abortions in the various states. I bet Edo state will top the list too.they couldn't possibly know that as it is illegal in Nigeria |
Lord_Reed: Now you are the one making the mistake. Budget chipsets can't match exactly the performance of high end chip sets so there doesn't even need to be a comparison in the first place. That said I think sooner than we may think we may see these Chinese OEMs outputting very solid devices with chipsets like Snapdragon S4 and 600 and so on as those technologies become cheaper. ARMs tech too is getting cheaper which has given coys like Mediatek a good run at making solid budget chips that can give performance that was considered top notch less than 1½ years ago.the nexus 10 wasn't an expensive tablet yet it had a cortex A15 cpu. All these OEMS are the same, some just dial down their cost of production and selling cost at the same time making them appear as saints. |
My thoughts exactly. The undocumented cases are there as well. |
30card: for those wanting to know what the tecno n9 has in stock this is a comparism from atutu bench marksso antutu now recognizes the name. Interesting. This is still low end for a 2013 tablet. |
The National Population Commission (NPC), on Wednesday, said teenage pregnancy has been identified as the biggest killer of young girls. Festus Odimegwu, Chairman of the commission, represented by Adenike Ogunlewe, Lagos State Director of the NPC, said this at a press briefing in Lagos to mark the 2013 World Population Day. Teenage mothers are defined as women, ages, 15-19 who have had children, or are currently pregnant. The World Population Day is marked annually on every July 11, since 1987. Its 2013 theme is: ‘Focus is on Adolescent Pregnancy’. “Though teenage pregnancy in Nigeria has shown a slow decline since 1990, there is still a need for heightened awareness as there are still many incidences of it,” said Odimegwu. “Early marriage, early sexual exposure and pregnancy, coupled with poor health services, put teenage girls at risk of sexual and reproductive health problems. Teenage pregnancy not only imposes severe health and physiological strains on the baby and the teen mothers, but also has long term negative impacts on sustainable development efforts. It worsens the population and reproductive health situation and compromises genuine efforts to promote gender equity, educational attainment, family values and economic development. Negative impacts of teenage pregnancy include unsafe abortion, pregnancy related complications, poor ante-natal care, weak pelvic bones, high fertility rate, curtailment of educational attainment and unstable marital life.” Odimegwu said that the teenage Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) put at 0.82 per 1000 women in Nigeria was still high. He added that there was, therefore, a need to understand and combat the incidences of TP in the country. “It is important to have a proper understanding of the root causes of teenage pregnancy,” he said. “Four major reasons are responsible for increase in teenage pregnancy. They are poverty, sexual abuse, ignorance and cultural and religious beliefs. These need to be addressed at a national level. It is imperative for Nigeria to implement national and international conventions that seek to curtail teenage pregnancy.” Odimegwu said that the General Assembly of the World Health Organisation (WHO) had in May, 2011 adopted a resolution urging member states to accelerate actions to improve the health of young people. He said that the resolution included specific measures to review and revise policies to protect young people from early child bearing. He said that the resolution also included the provision of access to contraception and reproductive healthcare services, as well as promoting access to accurate information on sexual and reproductive health. Katsina has highest rate of teenage pregnancy in Nigeria In Nigeria, pregnancy and motherhood tend to mark the end of school attendance and by age 16, 23% female adolescent are either pregnant or have given birth. The causes of early sexual activity are many. Teenagers face daily pressure from peers, they are exposed to the influence of television, the music industry and the internet, and are mostly too inexperienced to handle the consequences of pregnancy. According to the NPC, there are more pregnant teenagers in Katsina State than anywhere else in Nigeria. Records show Katsina accounting for 65 percent of teenage pregnancy in the country, while Edo State recorded the least percentage of 2.9. “Teenage pregnancy varies markedly in the Northern and Southern zones, as well as urban and rural areas,” Odimegwu said, “They are higher in the Northern geo-political zone’s rural areas. One in every three teenage girls in the North has started child bearing in 2008, compared to one in every 10 in the South.” https://telegraphng.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/nigeria-teenage-mothers-percent-of-women-ages-15-19-who-have-had-children-or-are-currently-pregnant-wb-data.png According to this World Bank chart, the percentage of Nigerian girls who are teenage mothers fell from 25.2 at the turn of the century, to 22.9 almost a decade later. According to a World Bank report, the percentage of girls who are teenage mothers in Nigeria stood at 22.9 in 2008. source |
Brainrex: hahaha I always laugh my ass out any time I see the Dude ranting when it comes to tecno devices, an average user doesn't care about the chipset, it's quad core Dude and I'm preety sure it'll beat the galaxy tab in benchmark scorethe 2 versions of the s4 have proven that more cores does not translate to better real life performance. A proven chipset will remain the alpha |
Lord_Reed: Are you talking about chinko tabs or tabs in general? I think the quality of the Chinese offerings has been upped recently mostly in the area of screen quality.none have come close to the nexus 10 by samsung |
Jump out of it na ![]() |
The lenovo IdeaCentre B540. All you could want. Touchscreen too ![]() |
Most droid tablets in the market are not top quality. This is no exception. I wonder whatever happened to the nexus 10. Seems only Google knows how to make cheap quality devices available |
So you're actually looking forward to it |
viruz007: What about the chipset and the gpu? Does the browser support adobe flash and or HTML 5? Same specs or better, wld like to put that device thru Antutu benchmarka proven chipset will always be the alpha. The case of the I9500 and I9505 proves just that. This, they fail to realize. |
If this is a professional review, it's far from impressive. Too obscure. If you're wondering I'm not on any side yet. |
BlackBaron: Certainly true, Mega is accessible to all android owners.Okay. i doubt it'll get closed again though ![]() |
BlackBaron: Whilst the Tecno vs everyone battle continues.been using MEGA for weeks before they bought over that android app. the 50GB is their base storage for all users, not some brand promo thing. premium users get options of 500GB to 4TB |
Pacify: I strongly doubt if Apple would go for this design....seems unconventionaltrue, very unlikely. |
The concept does look good I must admit. How it'll feel though can't be ascertained. Waiting for the "I won't buy this" crew |
