Some ladies (NOT JUST NIGERIAN LADIES; @190 TAKE NOTE) just want to use men as their mugu in living a false lifestyle. I call them the greedy ladies who want to keep up with the “JONESES” but don’t want to work for their upkeep and expenses. They’ll rather have men become their mugu. They forget that most men tend to respect ladies who earn their own upkeep and not really on them for all there expenses to be taken care of. Don’t get me wrong; men should sometimes spend on their ladies but not in the form of becoming a mugu. In this day and age, some ladies would require the list below:

BB Porsche phone
Brazilian hair
Christian Louboutin shoes
Birkin handbag
Cutler and gross sunglasses
Cartier wristwatch
Alexander McQueen designs
Swarovski Crystals jewellery

And so on; but they don’t want to work hard to afford such things with their own money. Rather they wait for the men who are the mugus’ to buy these items. They need to realise that hard work does pay without using a man as a mugu.

the worst part is it's a broad patent. The US patenting aren't thinking here at all. No wonder they got different verdicts from the lawsuits filed in the US and the UK.

There's been a lot of talk over the last couple of years — especially by Samsung during the course of its recent patent infringement trial — that Apple has obtained design patent coverage on rectangular devices with rounded corners. While that may not have been true before,it is now. The US Patent and Trademark Office issued patent no. D670,286 to Apple yesterday and it really does cover the outer edge shape of a device. There's no other way to look at it.

As we've explained before, the scope of a design patent is defined by the drawings, and the solid lines are what counts —the dashed lines are just there for context. As you can see below, the 'D286 patent has a lot of gratuitous context but just a single solid line defining what is being protected.

Previous design patents on the iPad and iPhone have included at least one additional feature in solid lines— like the home button, the back surface contour, the bezel shape, the side profile, or the edge-to-edge screen. This one ignores all of that and simply focuses on the shape of that peripheral edge. It's a broad patent. Really broad. Granted, an argument can be made that the horizontal and vertical lengths of the solid edge line in the drawings limits the patent coverage to a specific proportional design that excludes tablets with different aspect ratios, but you wouldn't want that to be your primary defense.

Will Apple ever use this patent against its competitors? Maybe, but there's an inherent downside to asserting a patent like this: it's vulnerable to invalidity arguments. The narrower a patent is the harder it is to find prior art devices or publications that have everything you need to knock it out. Conversely, the broader the patent the easier it is to come up with something that a judge or jury (or even the patent office) can use to invalidate it. Even though Apple submitted hundreds of prior art documents while this patent was being reviewed by the USPTO, it sure feels like a weapon too fragile for battle. It could very well just be a let's-see-what-we-can-get patent with no real offensive future. We'll see.

jeebz: All new HTC come with 16GB internal memory which is non-expandable. Of the 16GB, may be around 13GB will be readily available to the user.Real Football/Pes 2012 are about 1.3 GB combine that with maybe about 5 full HD movies of 1GB each and a 5 GB music playlist, then you can see that 16GB is just too paltry.

full HD movies will definitely be greater than 1GB per movie. We're talking 1080p here bro. I wonder why HTC keeps making same mistake. At least they should've bumped it up to 32GB. would've been bearable

After three and a half months of downtime Demonoid’s tracker is now back online. The unexpected revival of the tracker is the first sign of life in weeks and suggests that the Demonoid team is working to bring the full site back online. While the index and forum remain offline, the many thousands of torrents tracked by Demonoid have been brought back to life. When Demonoid went down at the end of July the site’s admin blamed a DDoS attack.
This initial attack resulted in a series of problems that were not easy to fix. However, at the time the tech admin of the site was determined to get the site back online. “You know how it goes with Demonoid. It might take a while but it will come back,” the admin told us. This was easier said than done though, and things went from bad to worse when Demonoid’s hosting provider Colocall pulled the plug following pressure from Interpol. But despite the site’s entanglement in a criminal investigation, Demonoid’s users never gave up hope that the site would return. Today, this hope appears to be justified as the first step towards a comeback was been made. A few hours ago Demonoid’s tracker was kicked back into action.

It may not come as a surprise that Demonoid is no longer with its former hosting company in the Ukraine. It appears that they have moved to Hong Kong instead, judging from the IP-address linked to the tracker.
While the news of the revived tracker will delight many Demonoid users, it may take some time before the site itself returns, if that’s the plan. In 2007 and 2009 Demonoid suffered similar downtime episodes and at the time the tracker reappeared several weeks before the site. When the DDoS hit Demonoid late July the site also suffered from an “exploit of sorts” which caused some damage. It is unclear whether this has been resolved at this point. The admin told us at the time that if the site did indeed return, it might move over to the new code they had been testing for a while. Time will tell if that’s indeed the case.

Just as expected the HTC event in New York was all about the DROID DNA for Verizon. The long-rumored beast of a smartphone finally went official.

you have to understand that most folks on nairaland get carried away by the preceding story in cases like this.
To answer, yes, a can spend on a lady without expecting anything back. It just depends on how close you both are. But in this case, considering the fact that he has already made his feelings known, like D-Explorer said, he could be doing that in the hopes that one day you'll change your mind. On the other hand it could still be an innocent friendly gesture(though highly unlikely).
