Radiographers carry out the procedure (xray, mri etc) while the radiologist interprets the result...only doctors who specialize in radiology are referred to as radiologist

Permit me to make a simply analysis on this topic. I know some ignorant people will continue to say the doctors are the supreme in the hospital setting yes they may quite right and wrong but for example for those people who are used to hospital setting very well, when a patient went to hospital to seek for medical care, such patients didnt go to see doctors direct, first and foremost such patients needs to be clerk by Medical Information officer who will clerk him/her issue such patient an hospital card from their such patients will be headed to the hospital account clerk for payment after payment the nurses begin to see to his/her vital sign then from their to see the doctors if such patient is having language barrier such doctor needs the help of interpreter after consultation such patient if necessary will be referred to laboratory scientists for lab test after result such patient will be back to see the doctor after reading the result of the laboratory the doctors will prescribe a drug and the patient will take it to pharmacist to get the drugs. Now let me ask us a question, if laboratory scientists, Pharmacist and Nurses gave the doctor wrong information about such patient will the work of such doctors be successful? We are working as a team, a tree doesnt make forest, without JOHESU no Doctors and without Doctors no JOHESU we are very reliable on every individual field but some ignorant people will be calling for privatisation of Hospitals, if i may ask if such government hospital is privatised how many of them or their family can have the money to attend to such hospital? lets use brain to comment not head, a big head doesnt determine a sharp brain please be wise

Yes, professionals in that field should head each team. Also, Doctors don't have any advantage over other professionals when it comes to heading or managing health institutions. However, you shouldn't demand for same salary structure as doctors. Each professionals cadre should negotiate their salary structure without caring what others are earning. Radiologist, pharmacists, Nurses, lab technicians shouldn't demand for what doctors earn. Doctors shouldn't encroach on other professionals functions.

Yes, doctors can earn more from call duty allowances, pharmacist also run call, virtually most of these professionals run one of either overtime, call, and so on. The difference can come from there and not salary scale.

Also if I am a Radiologist, let an experienced radiologist head my department and not a medical doctor.

I am sure if JOHESU keeps quiet as they had been, a medical doctor will head the works department ( if that hasn't been happening already).

I know Most of You don't know the meaning of Nigeria naira/yuan swap with China.. And why American government is desperately smoothing their relationship with Nigeria.

This is a clearer picture of the deal and it's effects on our economy and way of life.

Soon, you may be buying that techno phone you bought at N80,000 for N12, 000 .

The Central Bank of Nigeria have finally signed the currency swap deal we have been expecting for the past 2 years with the Chinese government.

The importance of this is that since almost 70% of the goods we import come from China and Asia and only about a meagre 12% come from America, why must we use Dollars to transact with China?

Thus, with the new deal, instead of using dollars at N350 to 1dollar to import those goods, we can now buy Yuan at 47 naira to 1 Yuan and import those stuffs directly. Therefore, Instead of buying these goods in dollars in China, we will now buy them in Yuan at 5 times cheaper than their dollar rates.

Meanwhile, it should be noted that China is now the highest importer of our crude. This means that our trade with them can be on Naira/Yuan basis.

This is a giant stride that our media needs to disseminate. It's a great achievement by this administration in its effort at repositioning our economy.

Of course, with d new deal, d demand for dollars will nose dive, with an attendant crash in its price.

Try to monitor exchange rate. Some of those guys who hoarded foreign currencies to make gains will off load them in order not to have heart attack over their huge loss arising from the currency swap deal with china.
Dollars and pounds will flood everywhere with no buyers, a the buyers will draw naira from their accounts in banks with presence in China.

Many NIGERIA banks will be seeking to have their representative office in China like first bank who saw to the future and already have office in China.
Inflation will go down drastically because of the price of commodities that will drop......
