I have seen the difference between our submissions and those of the GTs back then, shows a lot of maturity. Thumbs Up.

There are moves the market makes to confuse and mesmerize folks without fundamental knowledge of how the market works. Also, it helps to generate funds for SEC, CSCS and your brokers, as such folks would keep selling and buying haphazardly in the name of JIJO.

Prepare your mind for the following:

(1)The coronavirus will most likely affect resumption date. State govts across the nation are banning large gatherings and minimising physical contacts as much as possible. It is clear your orientation will be postponed.

(2) The problem is further compounded by the extremely low oil prices which have not even bottomed out yet. Nigeria is currently producing at a loss with the current prices, and we are not even able to sell our crude. No oil firm recruits during periods of low oil prices. NNPC boss has emphasized the need to cost cuts to.produce at current prices. Most companies fire or place employees on furlough. So the orientation will be moved to much later date when or if things stabilise.


(3) You are yet to receive official appointment letter. You have only received a notification of success. By law, no company is not legally bound to recruit any candidate that has not yet received an offer letter. Even with official letters, there has been several cases where govts or insitiutions withdraw offer letters even after resumption with no consequences. So the current case is even more precarious.

I therefore foresee a situation where the new GTs are put on reservation list for several months or years. A worse case scenario is that the recruitment eventually be cancelled or extremely streamlined. Forget sentiments, this is a real scenario right here.

I therefore ask all new GTs to hope and pray this crisis pass as soon as possible. The longer it stays, the less chances you will be recruited.

A lot of southerners don’t have northern exposure. I studied with a lot of them and the first thing they say to me when I tell them I’m from the north is `I didn’t know that there are hausa people like you’. Just like the western world think of Africa as a jungle with it’s people wearing animal skin and hunting, so do the southerners think of the northerners as village people or cattle rearers living in their huts. There was a time when the northerners weren’t interested in western education. That time is long gone. When you speak of Emir Sanusi’s speech, be rest assured it’s not directed to anybody from the north who applied for NNPC recruitment with their first class and second class uppers. It is directed at the northerners who don’t put enough effort and still expect to get something. And if you ask me, that is not just particular to the north. I don’t know the exact census but I’d think the population of the north is almost the population of south south, south east and south west combined. That means that it’s obvious we’ll have a large number of undereducated people who’d expect more than what they worked for or deserved. Emir Sanusi is from the north and his concern is for the north.
True there are some states with more number of well educated people but that doesn’t mean that the best from the state with the less well educated people won’t be more than the best from the state with the highest number of well educated people. Those Zamfara and Kebbi people you see as illiterates will shock you

Have I told u people Shell, Total and ExxonMobil Mobil either rejected me after ist or second tests one time or another? I didn't feel it.. Even tho I felt for the huge mulla slipping tru my fingers that I could do nothing about... I know I would not have felt Nnpc too if not that the length of time it took the Apl to materialize made us unconsciously fall madly in love with them.. And letting go is giving mad feelings like a lover's. But we will be fine.

So back to my gist.

A friend from Malaysia ( no be boifren o , in case u wantu shoot ur shot , especially these latest Nnpc employees ) decided to take me out to console me for loss of Apl ... Umunnaa, na so I follow mi niqqur go ( ordinarily, I would have rejected the offer , I don't trust Malay people.. Them and stealing Kidneys are like 5 and 6 , but I obliged anyways, needed to get mi mind off that wickedt Apl )

Dats was how I was jejely eating my Nkwobi and shamelessly licking my fingers when Nnpc trucks ( fuel I guess) suddenly began passing by one after the other.. They were all together...6 or seven in number..

Do u people know that I didn't know that I had stopped eating and was staring at dem trucks... Tears dripping from ma brown powered face and ma nkwobi in one hand with flies battling to have a share.. I didn't know, until Oga sharply tapped my face with his handkerchief... Oga , abeg no clean ma make up o.. Just jeje clean my apl tears and console me small small... biko Oh! Nnpc!

Sweet nkwobi suddenly turned bitter.. I couldn't finish it.. Oga suggested we leave
. yes , we will go.. Madam, abeg package the remainder for me..I know after I wipe my tears.. My nkwobi Wii start hungering me I cannot mourn for two tins consecutively... Pls package it biko.. Madam wrapped it..

I got home.. I tell u, in less than 2 mins.. I was already laffin like mad from watching " a million ways to die in the west" and licking the "takeaway * plate of my nkwobi .. . Nnpc completely forgotten..

Loms... In essence, I know it's painful for a lot of us.. Especially those who had genuinely wanted to effect lives positively tru Nnpc.. But I want to tell u.. U will be fine.. Don't let anything in the world take away ur joy.
