Juventus Striker Gonzalo Higuain has snubbed a move to Chelsea by accepting to join AC Milan on loan this
summer .
According to Sky Sports, Higuain will join the Serie A Club with a £32m permanent option clause in the deal.
The loan itself will cost Milan around £15m and is part of a swap deal which will see Mattia Caldara also join Milan and Leonardo Bonucci head the other way.

It has been a most informative and exciting year, examining some very fundamental and most vital issues that relate to youth and singles. Generally, we spend a whole lot of money and time (years) preparing and learning how to be successful in business, vocations and careers, etc., yet we pay very little attention to preparing for marriage that will last a lifetime.
The act of staying married takes a lot of preparation and this begins with the individuals involved. It is important for you to prepare yourself by setting up boundaries and establishing your principles for living. This should be based on your understanding of scriptures, through the help of the Holy Spirit.
These principles and boundaries include, your values, convictions, limits etc., so that when you eventually get connected to a potential marriage partner, you have everything well laid out and you won’t be swinging like a pendulum, trying to live by the other person’s standards, especially if they are wrong.

Therefore, to prepare adequately for married life, it is important for you to:
1. Locate Your Purpose: What is your vision for life? What is your goal? Where are you heading? You need a proper understanding of this, before you can start looking for a marriage partner. This information will determine how and who you choose.
2. Invest In Your Life As A Person: Be the best you can be and enhance your worth. This you can do by growing in grace spiritually, and drawing closer to God daily via the study of His Word. Also, you should commune with Him regularly in prayer. This will sharpen your discernment, and also make you fervent enough to build a God-honouring home tomorrow.

Marriage, by its very nature involves a lot of building and your spiritual stamina will contribute, in no small measure, to your ability to build wisely.
Mentally, develop yourself greatly in your chosen field of endeavour or career. Create and embrace opportunities to better yourself, so you will be an asset to your spouse tomorrow and not a liability.
Emotionally, develop yourself and your capacity to accommodate another person unconditionally, for the rest of your life. Marriage involves giving, not just receiving. Therefore, you need to learn in your single days to be tolerant and to handle issues with your emotions under control.
Also, you need to be physically fit for married life. As a lady, learn how to keep a house, cook and generally manage a home. As a man, learn how to be responsible and to take care of someone else, apart from yourself.

3. Learn As Much As You Can About Marriage: This you do by, gathering information from credible sources, not from negative examples around you. Study the Bible, the primary text on the subject of marriage. Study materials (books, tapes, magazines) by those with not just knowledge of the subject, but also proven testimonies in their marriages. The main difference between a marriage that is working and one that is not, is knowledge (Daniel 11:32; 1 Peter 3:7). Study and understand God’s provisions for the family, how to run a home, how to relate with in-laws, etc.
Also study the biographies of successful couples.
However, there are qualities to look out for, before you agree to marry a person. These should be majorly spiritual things, rather than the physical such as looks, physique and material possessions, which may not last or guarantee a happy tomorrow. Some of these qualities include:
– Your partner’s spiritual state (2 Corinthians 6:14).
– You spiritual convictions e.g. Holy Ghost baptism etc.
– There should be similarities in interests, values, education, blood and genotype compatibility, etc.
– Your partner’s emotional stability.
– Readiness to make commitments.
– Ability to adapt and be flexible (to change and differences).
– Sensitivity to other’s hurts and needs.
– You should have respect for other’s perspectives.
– Your ability and willingness to communicate.
– Is your partner gainfully employed (or at least strong prospects of such especially for the guy)?
– Independence from the control and influence of family and friends.
– Positive and secured self-image.
– Self-control.
– Objectivity.
– Responsibility.

To put it more succinctly, don’t marry a stranger! Marry your friend, someone whose personality you have grown to truly appreciate. This, you will agree with me, takes time and conscious effort.
The Holy Spirit is an indispensable help in matters of this nature. He alone knows a man’s true nature and He is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. So, engage His help.
In case you are not yet born again, you do not have access to this invaluable gift of the Holy Spirit. If you will like to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, please say this prayer: “Dear Lord Jesus, I come to You today as a sinner. I believe You died for my sins and rose on the third day. Forgive me of my sins. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Make me a child of God today.”

Marriage can be likened to gold and like most precious ornaments, one must invest time and resources to secure it and fashion it into a jewel of inestimable value. Today, many in the family of God have found the key to a fulfilled marital life; you too can join the league by applying God’s principle of marriage. That is why, this month, I will be sharing with you some Success Secrets for a Fulfilled Marriage.
Success Secrets for a Fulfilled Marriage Be Diligent and Work Hard For Your Marriage! (Part 1)
To derive joy in marriage, you must accept that you are the major player in your home; hence, you must strive to be diligent and work at it. The Bible says: By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through (Ecclesiastes 10:18). There is no prize for the slothful! Part of the diligent work required in marriage involves taking particular care of some specifics that serves as “grease” to a blissful home. Just as grease is to an engine or a nut, there are some seemingly little things that lubricate the home, thereby creating an environment of love, peace and joy. However, these things maybe very minor yet are mostly ignored. For instance, the words: “I’m sorry”, “Thank you” and “I love you” are very short and simple words, but are powerful in our everyday life and they must not be forgotten. Instead, they must be said every time they are needed. Forgetting these simple and very important words can cause a lot of disorder in your relationship.
Also, you must learn to say “Sorry” every time you make a mistake and “Thank you” for simple things done for you by your spouse. The best words that must be said every day is “I love you”. These words when often used at home, could make the relationship grow stronger and deeper. To further understand success secrets for a fulfilled marriage, this week, I will be looking at the word, “I’m sorry.”
“I’m sorry” are two short words that can make big improvements in any marriage. By these short powerful words, our marriages and homes will be more pleasant and peaceful.
Offences are bound to occur between a man and his wife, but it is not wise for any partner to just overlook things whenever one is hurt by the other person. Always admit when you make mistakes.
The Bible says: For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again… (Proverbs 24:16). We understand that because we are human, we might offend one another from time to time. However, the moment the husband or wife, sincerely say the words, “I’m sorry,” it brings healing and begins to soothe the emotional wounds.
The word “I’m sorry” is a powerful healing balm that can be placed over hurt and wounded feelings. It works like fire! So, don’t be hesitant or too proud to ask for forgiveness from your spouse or family members any time you are wrong. The Bible says, if you humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, He will lift you (1 Peter 5:6).
Some people find it difficult to apologise to their wives, children or family members whom they had offended. God’s Word says: He that covereth his sins shall not prosper; but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy (Proverbs 28:13).
Whenever you go wrong, admit it to the person and refuse to do it again, then God’s mercy and favour will be made available to you. It is pride that brought the devil from such a high place with God to the lowest pit of hell. Remember, pride goes before a fall, so don’t let pride make you refuse to apologise any time you are wrong. Failure to admit your mistakes before your spouse is an obstacle to intimacy in marriage. You must cultivate the habit of apologising from your heart when you are wrong. Say, “I’m sorry”, and mean it. When apologising, you should avoid the word “but” because it can kill your apology. To your spouse’s ears, “I’m sorry but…” translates to “I’m not really sorry, and I am just saying I’m sorry for the sake of saying it.” Stop shifting blames; accept your fault each time you are wrong!
God has given you this vital secret to create an atmosphere of peace in your home, go forth and enjoy it, in Jesus’ name! If you are not born again, you are not entitled to the peaceful married life God has reserved for His children. However, God’s grace of salvation is extended to you right now. You become born again by confessing your sins and accepting Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour of your life. If you are ready for this new birth experience, please say this prayer in faith:
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for delivering me from sin and satan to serve the living God and thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.

A Nigerian man took to Facebook to give a narration on how a lady who called his dad an evil man while he was selling under the sun at a market in Aba, eventually remained in the same spot she was years back.

The young man said his father was struggling some years back and the woman made fun of him for his situation and even cursed him that he will always remain in the same situation.



Years later, his father’s lot in life improved but the woman’s situation got worse.

It’s been close to a 4 days my light was disconnected, and like every other day since it was disconnected, I went to charge my phone.

I plugged it and left.

Came back few hours later and collected the phone.

I was heading home and I decided to take a route I took almost 2 years ago.

I don’t like using that route but I did.

My Dad once sold female shoes(Aba made shoes.) in that route.

He was selling them under the sun then.

He wasn’t allowed by the market workers to put an umbrella to shield him from rain and sun.

He managed.

He left that place 2 years ago, but an incident happened in his stay there.

There was this lady he had an issue with.

She won’t be above 25 years of age, but she insulted my Dad like they were mates.

She abused my Dad that day.

She said my Dad was evil and he uses juju and the juju he was using has back fired on him that’s why he will remain under the sun selling shoes.

She continued that sun will beat my Dad, even rain will fall on him all the days of his life in that market until he dies.

My Dad wanted to hit her, and I calm him down.

That night my Dad was angry at me.

He was mad.

He refused to talk to me even when we got home.

After I asked him why he was behaving cold towards me, he opened up to me that he was disappointed in me.

How I stood and watch a girl insult him when I could have beaten the living day out of her.

I told him I’m sorry.

I didn’t agree, he busted at me.

Called me names.

I went outside to cry.

I was confused.

I’m not a violent person, but I almost lost it that day.

My Dad and I struggled during Christmas season, made some money and he left that market.

Today, I passed through that route only to find that girl inside rain selling tomatoes, pepper and kerosene.

I can’t forget her face.

I walked forward.

Stopped her a friend’s shop and asked her what happened to the lady behind.

why is she no longer in her shop.

I was told the shop wasn’t her own. She was managing it with a woman and the woman died some months back.

She couldn’t afford the shop rent anymore and the shop was sold off to another person.

Formally she sells rice, beans, and so many other things.

Now, she is just selling tomatoes, pepper and kerosene.

Rain was showering a little bit and it was falling on her mercilessly.

I was pleased!

I never planned to buy anything from the market, but because I wanted to get back at her, I went to the ATM in the market and withdrew 1k.

I went to her shop and told her to sell kerosene for me.
(I have almost 4 liters of kerosene at home.)

She bent down.

I asked her if she knows me and she nodded her head.

I smiled.

“You know my Dad now has a shop?” I asked.

She didn’t reply.

“He no more sells aba made shoes anymore.” I continued.

She started hurrying up to sell the kerosene.

“You know, he is no longer in the rain, even sun doesn’t come close to his shop.”

She filled the kerosene and gave it to me.

I told her to sell tomatoes for me with pepper.

I wasn’t done reading her.

She was packaging it, and I continued,

” He doesn’t just have a shop, he now has two shops. Isn’t that wonderful….”

She became irritated. her cheek bones almost found it’s way out of her skin.

“My Dad ehn, the juju he is using is very strong. I’m very grateful.” I didn’t retract.

She quickly tied everything and handed it over to me.

I chuckled, looked her in her tired eyes, and she diverged.

I sighed.

paid her for what I bought and left.

Walked a distance, turned back and my eyes met with hers. it was filled with dismay.

PS: I need to see my dad and tell him what I saw.

PPS: My Dad would feel sorry for her, and it will make me sick.

Disney is developing a fairytale film “Sade,” centered on the story of an African princess.

Rick Famuyiwa, who directed the 2015 drama “Dope,” is attached to produce the upcoming Disney film.

The movie will be based on a pitch bought by Disney from Ola Shokunbi and Lindsey Reed Palmer, who will co-write the screenplay about a young African girl named Sadé whose kingdom is threatened by a mysterious evil force and accepts her newly discovered magical powers to protect her people, with the help of the kingdom’s prince.
