This might look like a funny Topic but there is a subtle truth to it.

Allow me to explain.

Remember that tablet, laptop, blackberry,Nokia,Samsung of yours that fell into water, got run over by a car, that you mistakenly sat on.

That your kid used to play football and broke the screen, that you threw at you girlfriend and it shattered on the wall in that moment of your rage, that you mistakenly leaned on the balcony to wave and it fell from your hand and you slowly watched it fall to its sudden death.

Yes, that your destroyed discarded, bruised and broken device.

Did you know that it still has a value to someone.

Phone engineers looking for parts to fix an old phone.

buyers of stuff

exporters of stuff.

So don't just throw away you destroyed gadgets again.

Simple advertise it here and let's see a pick of the reck(or beauty).

Cos guys in Oshodi, computer villa and some other grassy places are looking for that thing you think is trash, in what ever condition it is.
Career / Re: National Association Of Unemployed Graduates(NAUG) by cj1080(m): 11:31am On Aug 19, 2013
kukus01: the way Nigerian graduate go about everything is pathetic.....its disappointing to know that most of them think internet is only for social forum, what happened to ideas and creativity? the availability of the internet is a key factor in enhancing ideas and creativity.....someone once made a statement that 90% of Nigerian graduate is unemployable. i once told a graduate to bring up a proposal for an ICT Project which i wanted to involve him.... i provided him a laptop, internet modem, and external hard drive ..... the bigot was only using my internet facility to download davido songs...... i can bet half of all these graduate shouting am in am in cant even use Microsoft word, its business centers that makes resume for them, not to talk of presenting themselves worthy of being employed. its disheartening to see youths just pinging and wasting their lives away on facebook etc..... please you should all sitdown and think look within your inner mind find what you are good at and expose it. my 1 kobo for una!!!!

You have to realise that not all of them are like that, when you see someone who is determined to succeed, you will know by his efforts to make change and move forward. when u see someone with no clue on what his or she she wants, you try to show him a way and let him decide for himself,
About the one you told about an ict programme, you never knew whether he had the drive for it or not, did, sometimes your vision is not someone else's vision.
Career / Re: National Association Of Unemployed Graduates(NAUG) by cj1080(m): 11:22am On Aug 19, 2013
From the trend I have read so far, I like where it's going.

Now I think one of the ways to effectively cater from everyone in this association is to create chapters by Region, by state and by local.

e.g National association of unemployed youths Lagos Chapter Ikoyi section.

So within a specific area of a state there is a section to cater for the people within that section.

There can be a section head and his excise.(when we finally get around to that).

Any available law in the house can draft a constitution for how things should work.

Now how to we gather popularity.

Facebook pages,Twitter handles, Google plus.

see them as where people can come hangout and talk.

Sorry just saying my own two cents
Career / Re: National Association Of Unemployed Graduates(NAUG) by cj1080(m): 11:09am On Aug 19, 2013
This has been a long time in coming, was wondering when something like this would finally show up.

But folks, we need to make it look professional, else no one will take you seriously.we also have to understand that it will take time to get recognition.journey of a thousand miles.

Now how do we make it professional.

We need to register it as a non profit organisation with its goals and objectives clearly stated.

We need to have a managerial board based on election or selection for which the criteria will be clearly state.

What we do has to be felt both locally and internationally.

we need to find sponsorship.

we need objectives that cater towards the Nigerian unemployed, seminars local and international, job fairs, entrepreneurship etc.

And we must be serious on helping and growing the Nigerian unemployed. capacity building must be a must.

Already we have sponsorship backing in the place of seun nairaland, allowing this to go to front page. meaning we will have that same clout when next we have something important to say.

The only problem I for see for this is a lack of organised leadership to push through these goals. From what I see of this organisations future, it has the ability to influence change in our society and create a franchise in other nations.

planning and execution is key.
Romance / Re: What's Your Deal Breaker In A Relationship? by cj1080(m): 1:59pm On Aug 16, 2013
most ladies say i am too rigid cos. i believe one should act in a certin way.

I believe in one principle. Do on to others what you would have them do to you.

In a relationship, when anyone goes contrary to that rule. I switch off.

Today we will be looking at How to automate switching on your phone wifi, fro those situations where there is a wifi network at home or office or cafe u connect to.

This is handy for people who have wifi at their office or at home, and dont want to always physically go to their wifi button to enable the wifi. or want that as they get to their wifi connection, one or more of their favourite apps open when their wifi is on.

So with out further alk, lets get to it.

First off, one your tasker.

go to the profile tab and click the plus button on the lower right corner. A pop will appear asking you to select either
Application,Date,State,Location,Event< or time.

There are actually two ways of setting this up.

You can go by location, where by you tell tasker that if you are within 30meters of a location specified on your map, tasker should turn your wifi on and connect to your wifi net work. Problem with this is that your location sensor will always be on, and that tends to drain power fast on your device.

We will be doing it the other way.

Back to the profile tab

Now select state.

on state tab, select phone, and under phone tab select cell near.

What this tasker to do is, That anytime your near a certain cell site or list of sites. Here you will click on scan, where tasker will show you the list of available cell sites close to you.p.s leave it on for about a minute to scan as, there thens to be more than 1 cell sites close by.

Now stop the scan and press the back button on the top right of the screen beside the tasker icon.

This will take you back to profile tab. But now a new pop up will appear asking you to select action or name action.

This is where we will tell tasker what it should do when near those cell sites we located.

Now we will name that action wifi on. then we will click the check mark.

tasker will take us to the task or action tab. Here we will click the plus sign below, this should bring a list of pop up's of which we will select the net tab, now in the net tab we will select wifi.

this opens a page with a window that says set as "off". click the off and u will see a list. in the list select "on". once selected, click the back arrow beside tasker icon and we are done.

Thats all. Oh forgot, tap you options button and enable tasker. then exit tasker.

Now when ever your close to the cell sites you specified.(the one close to your office or home or cafe wifi) your wifi will actomatically turn on and connect to your wifi.

Look out for my next tutorial where i will show you how to turn off your keyguard lock when your around your wifi. And, How to open your radio app or music player once you plug your bluetooth ear piece or normal wired earpiece.

Phones / Turn Your Android Device Into A Smarter Phone by cj1080(m): 7:53am On Aug 07, 2013
Quite literal thats what i am about to dive into.

Have you ever want your phone to be more than a smart phone. To be more attuned to your needs of it.

Such needs being.

I want:-

1. My screen brightness to be high and volume loudest when i am playing my favorite games (modern warfare or temple run)
2. When my alarm wakes me in the morning, i want to see my favourite tweets from twitter and plume.
3. Around lunch time automatically open my facebook and alert me to new updates.
4. (my personl best). When i am at the office, automatically switch off my 3G and connect to my office wifi.
5. When connected to my office wifi, automatically open my podcast and download the latest pods. when done, switch to tunein and play online station on low volume to work resumption.

By now you will begin to get the picture of what i mean by needing your Android device to be smarter and tuned to your needs.

Well ladies and gentlemen now you can actual make your phone do all you needs and more(well it can't get you a girlfriend without effort).

There is a little know or should i say unknown app(to Nigerians) called Tasker.

Tasker has been around for quite awhile. But because it has a price tag, most of us, i have come to notice over look apps with a price tag.

What Tasker does, is it gives you the ability to automate your phone more to your own personal needs. More like your customizing your phone to suit you taste(not just the wallpaper or the ring tones). Tasker can do a myriad of things and from what i have seen so far, most people using it are just scratching the surface.

like building your own Siri type personal assistant to customized voice activated prompts like Vlingo, to on screen notification without the need to slide the notification bar or install different apps for the above mentioned tasks.

There are a lot of things you can do with Tasker, But first you have to understand how to use it.There are a lot of tutorials and articles out there on how to use it and for beginners out there. But see me as the goto guy to ask questions on things you don't understand or need to know.

And yes, all those wants mentioned above, i actually created them on and for my Tecno Phantom A.
The other sweet thing about tasker is its ability to turn the tasks you create into actual apps(apk files) that you can share with friends.

So head on over to Google play and download it.

Mine is working but I will explain my procedure although it was expensive.

I loaded the 1500 and sent the code. they welcomed me to airte Bb said I had 2.03GB

I tried to browse and notices my credit was going. I changed my Access point to internet.ng.Zain.com credit still going and finished. It stopped browsing but my 2.03gb still de.

I decide to unsubscribe since it didn't work, I sent deactivate to 440. I got deactivated, tend I loaded 1200 for my old Bb trick, *440*4# that gives 1gb.

I was welcomed to it and told I had 1gb data. I checked my data balance and saw, 3.03gb.

I start browsing and my credit ain't going no more. now the bandwidth is going.

so there u have it folks.

The key ingredient here is after you load the 1500 and activate be prepared to deactivate and load extra bandwidth. in my case, extra 1gb.

Gentlemen, I believe we need a collective server bank to download and store the apk and Data files for these games. And we will need one in each state.

First off I have to ask. Anyone one here who has access to unlimited internet via WiFi or other wise should let us know, He or She will be our download and storage person. his objective will be to download VGA qvga and 3d games for use from andropalace.net, lycanandroid and other places.

So that when we need the games we can head over to that person to get them.

Currently I have, raymans jungle, NFS most wanted, NFS shift, Asphalt 6, Repulse, protoxiod, horn, afterburner, Tom Clancy: Hawx. ApK and data files.
While I have. Nova 1,Spiderman,Modern ware fare 2, BIA,Dungeon Hunter, Raindowsix apk files only.

I am around V.I Monday to Friday. Saturdays I am around Iju area. Give me a ring if u need em. 08085833799.

deeper meaning in this news. Does it mean that blackberry is finally giving up on the sale of sinner to move to a messenger app provider.

Cos they gotta know that if they do this blackberry phone sales will drop. drastically.

except the idea is to leave their bbm app out there while they close up shop.

who knows.
Investment / Re: Investors Needed In A Nigeria Internet Start-up by cj1080(m): 9:56pm On Mar 21, 2013
see the thing with young people today is that when advise is given, if they dont like it,rather than consider it and think on it, they get angry when it doesnt dance to their tune.

Seriously, how would some who doesnt know you invest in a business with no structures that at least will speak for you if people dont know you at face value.

What your asking is just like saying, i have a fish at home please Mr A from abuja send me water so i can add to its tank so it may grow.

what you should be asking is Mr A i have a fish at home, its in a tank, the tank takes 3Days of water before it needs refilling, the fish can grow 100 eggs in 2hours and in two days it will have 45 young fishes. i am looking for a means to get water for it every 3days. for your water i will give 2fish per 6 days.(negiotiations commerces).

What that you have any investors attention.

Sports / About Victor Mose: Is This True by cj1080(m): 5:24pm On Feb 07, 2013
This is the story of a young boy whose parents were murdered during 2002 riots in Kaduna. He was aged 11 years at the time. His parents, Mr Austine and Mrs Josephine Moses, were missionaries until they met their untimely death. The boy left his house to play football but returned home to see that all his parents had laboured for had been razed down and he would never see his mother and father again.
He was taken to London by his uncle almost immediately after the incident. While in London, he began deploying his football skills. Though his parents were murdered, his passion for football was never killed. He played football for his school and later for a local Tandrige League club until Crystal Palace FC approached him. From that point, his career progressed in leaps and bounds.
This player played for England's under 16, 17, 19 and 21 teams between 2005 and 2010 scoring 11 goals for England during this period. He later moved to Wigan Athletic and now he plays for Chelsea. This footballer is called VICTOR MOSES.
His story is a touching one, I share his pains. I also share his courage. He had a choice not to step into Nigeria again but he didn't take that option. When the call to serve his fatherland came, Moses dumped England and embraced Nigeria... That is patriotism!
Today, we see a Victor Moses bringing joy to every Nigerian including those who may have inspired his parent's death... That is Love!
On Sunday, Moses would stand for the National Anthem and pledge allegiance to a country that couldn't defend his parents... That is faith!
Moses would deliver the "African Cup of Nations" trophy to Nigeria not minding what had happened in the past... That is forgiveness! Moses rose through bitterness and despair to the limelight of hope and courage.
He never gave up on his country. He persevered... That is purpose!
If someone like Victor Moses, despite the bitter past, never gave up on Nigeria, then why should we....! ONE NIGERIA......

Trying to find the source of this as its been hitting a lot of bbm's and on socials media.

But if it is true. Thenfor me there is a reason to watch naija play come saturday.
