One, The defenders play too many long ball, giving away balls to their opponents easily. In modern football, you have to alway be in position of ball and when opponents take the ball from you, you run them down

Secondly, no connection in the midfield. The midfield was totally empty. No body to take the ball from defenders and supply the attackers. That why you see a lot of long balls and defenders overlapping

Not true, the difference between Nigeria and other west African countries is that while they have one powerful dominant tribe, Nigeria has 3 to 4 dominant tribes. Ugandan has one dominant tribe with one man ruling for close to forty years. That can never happen in Nigeria. The other dominant tribes will come together to start a war against the dominating tribe and such tribe will never recover from the war, cause they will be so hunted to reduce their population and there by their status as a dominant tribe.
