davidylan: this above is the very definition of word salad. A lot of words strung together but without really making much sense. 1. You're expecting a "good response" based on? Did you contribute to the gift and thus feel a need to have a stake in the competition? 2. Competition is all about talent? Depends on who is setting the rules no? 3. We must have talented and qualified judges... and who defines what "talent" and "qualifications" are required and what the criteria should be? You? 4. This is purely ethical and not unethical - i have no idea what this even means.
See, this is the typical nigerian phd syndrome. Everyone feels the need to criticize something... somehow i think it is the only way we feel we can boost our flagging self esteem. I seldom criticize but when i do, it's strictly based on knowledge. If you want to make your rules stringent, then you must be prepared enough. I don't even have a PhD but i'm a scholar. Do not be downhearted for reading the truth. Nigeria would be great if those who make the laws abide by them. Please relax and have fun and tell those judges to get their qualifications right before judging others All in all, it's good to have a contest but the judges should be somewhat qualified to handle this process. This is my wonderful opinion. You're probably a toddler if you do not agree with it. |

davidylan: yeah, you should keep mum... something about removing all doubt about foolishness when you open your mouth no? I've just asked an honest question and I'm expecting a good response. If anyone is hurt, there's nothing I could do about it. Competition is all about talents and so, we must have talented and qualified judges. This is purely ethical and not unethical. Good luck to those taking part anyway. |

MissMeiya: Eeeyah sorry dear.
You have 10 more days though! Just write about what you know. The rules are funny and nothing to write home about. I doubt if you guys can get the best writers here. I do prefer to keep mum at this time. What are the judges qualification first of all? Do they really have knowledge for this? I need a feedback. |

I think it's a good idea to spend on your lover. Just 50-50 is fine or better still 70% for the guy while 30% to the girl. |
Romance › Re: Why It's Hard For Beautiful Ladies To Find Mr. Right by Classicalmusic: 7:39am On Dec 13, 2014 |
OP, what people don't realize is pretty girls have flaws. Not to seem rude, but their attitude hurts them. Most 'very pretty' women believe they have options and can get away with that. Some of them are just inept when it comes to making a decision.
What really suddens me is that they don't know that what actually goes around comes around. The genuine warmth in getting the perfect man is totally out of context.
To add more fuel to fire, imagine a girl who thinks because she's very pretty, every man will want her but when you don't call at all, she starts to scream and tell everyone how decent you're! Even at a point of lying just to get your attention:-)
I blame men who worship these girls. For they don't what they're doing. |

NYSC › Re: Why Do Some Married Ladies Commit Adultery During NYSC? by Classicalmusic: 3:49pm On Dec 11, 2014 |
Tonydeeb: National Year for Sex and Comfort(NYSC)... make we tok true, you fit hold body for 10-11 months wivout tasting the forbidden fruit?...I bliv those who engage in such acts are those who didn't have such a lively youth-days experience. Having tasted the forbidden fruit wif her hubby, she's willing to explore, wants to do what she was deprived or wasn't opportuned to do b4 marriage and the only avenue to do this wivout any phobia will be during her service year... And the social ones who actually tried everytin b4 marriage, are possibly trying to explore once again what marriage has deprived them of... P:s Do not say unmarried/single ladies don't fall in this category, their are many extremely despirate ladies who are ready to tie any guy down using sex as a tool during their service year... That's right. You're so correct. I am the only one in my room that didn't taste the unforbiden fruit To me, there's nothing in it. |

temisukanmi: Dont really know the appropriate topic for this thread... I just wanna share what I observed. Here on nairaland, we've been seeing guys being put in friend zones by ladies they love and not guys putting ladies in dis zone.. now my question is: 1) Do ladies ever get friend zoned? 2) Ladies have you ever been friend zoned by guys u love? 3) How did it all turn out? 4) Guys have u ever kept any lady in this dreadful zone? Pls feel free to share ur experiences... ..just trying to clear this thought off my head. Yes number 4. Friendzoning is really bad During my NYSC, though this girl is pretty, but i just didn't like her. Felt she wasn't good enough for me. So, one day, she came to my place of work with her friend without informing me first then later called my friend to take them out if he really wants to win over her friend and that was it. I didn't stay long with them. I cannot friendzone a woman that i like, though it takes two to tango! |

abbakacici: i know is unrelated question, but please i need urgent help, I inadvertently washed my jeans with my passport in it yesterday. and now is the passport is a totally waste, i was planing on applying for the emergency travel certificate but form nigerian embassy UK website it seams that is meant for only stole or missing passport.
the reason i apply for it not renewal is that am planing coming back to Nigeria this weekend saturday to be presides, i still have a valid visa so my question are
1) can i apply for emergency travel certificate though my passport is damage not stolen or missing 2) if no should lie and get a police report that my passport is stolen 3)i have a police report, but a break in in our house, that is the police just mail me a letter stating that my case is still on going.
i really need to travel this weekend, Can you really teach an old dog new tricks? :-) You alread lied. So this thread is probably not meant for you :-) |

Next time, you should be careful with the kind of chick you fall in love with :-)
Above all, you're lucky. It would have been a disaster in the long run, if you had married this lady.
Now, try as much as you can, to get the right girl. |

teetom: Hi fellow nairalanders. I want to know your view on issue of laminating certificates, especially those that have had the opportunity of travelling abroad. Some say lamination of certificate is the best option to preserve it because any slight alteration renders it useless and valueless and you know it's not easy to get another once it is altered.
While some say many foreign establishments and even embassy reject laminated certificate.
Please what are your views on it? Yes, it's necessary in order to protect them. Organization like embassies don't reject laminated certificates but would rather confim the genuineity of these documents. |
Family › Who Are The Better Parents--men Or Women? by Classicalmusic(op): 8:36am On Dec 08, 2014 |
This forum is for opinions and arguments.
Okay, let me go straight to the point now. Men earn money and are somewhat stricter in discipline. While, women particularly build closer bond and are often at home with the children.
Do you think men are better parents or otherwise? State your reasons. Because sometimes, I think women are a bit weaker in terms of training the kids. I am not underestimating female folks though. |
