ekundayoalo: Have you ever turned down a lady who has expressed a romantic interest in you?
Ladies usually don't express their interest in a guy unless they know you well and it takes immense love in her heart for her to break the norms and take the lead in expressing interest. So guys, have you ever turned down a lady? And to the ladies who has done this before, how do you feel when you're turned down by the guy you really cared for? Lol, just yesterday. But i still want her to confess more. The funniest thing is that she's deeply in love but i don't trust these girls |

I need advise please because is eating me up!!! She's cheating on you. You probably need to hack her phone to get prove of what i've just said. |

godG: Oh, I see. Pardon me. Azeezah, how are you?
The number of people? So far, from what I know, the two people who applied for TESOL actually got it. Both in Part 2. The only denial was in part 3 - a community college.
I have said it before, there is no 'standard' rule to visa application. Each applicant is treated independently. If anyone has an admission to study TESOL or whatever course in a good college, please, apply. What the VOs want to see is your readiness to pursue what you want and the sincerity of your application. Glad you do get it now. English as a major is totally different and quite professional. Ask Wale Soyinka. I don't wanna say more till a friend of mine gets his visa. Then i will post his success for others to read. |

Walspring: Be clear about this... The only reason why schools in usa give condition admission to applicants to study English before majoring in their real course is because they dont have a good record about English and that's why we do advice people to write any of the English test like toefl or Ielts so that their admission will be smooth and they wont do common entrance when they get to school
Advising someone to go an spend more than $5000 for English class in the usa after getting visa before starting his real course is a waste of money because the same person can use less that $200 to write toefl or ielts and pass it with good score, with his/her good score the person wont need to start English class or common entrance in his/her again
N.B --- write toefl or ielts is not just because of VO but more of than I am talking about English as a major. I am sick and tired of this damn thing. I am coughing now as a result of some spoilt girls smoking in my apartment. |

worry359: If she is going to visit a personal friend then UKBA will want to know why a company would pay for that. Company bank accounts are for buisness not personal. She must answer this. She's been so fantastic in this company and so, the boss himself decided to sponsor her for a trip. Or should the manager use his own personal account? |

@Justwise, how're you doing? Is previous travel history important for someone who is applying for UK Visa? Also, how's the invitation letter gonna be? She wants to apply for UK General Visitor Visa and the company she works would take care of her bill but her friend in the UK would send the invitation letter. Is this okay? Does she have any chance in terms of procuring the visa? |

zeezahbee: Being a pastor is not a crime, it might be a call from God.
Some people here in the past have been denied for going for english ( as a 2nd language). Abeg don't we speak English already. He has more chances to get the visa for engineering or any other course but not English. We have told him to write SAT. He has 100% chances to get the visa.
If he get to the USA, he can transfer go for english. I have no problem for him being a pastor and the United States is a native speaker of English unlike Nigeria. Studying English as a major is also good. There are so many stuffs to talk about to convince the VO. Okay, I can only wish him good luck for now!! |

zeezahbee: Theres nothing wrong with the gap, write SAT or toefl, apply to a uni not a community college and forget about applying for English as a second language, apply for engineering straight. Lol, does being a pastor have any collocation with engineering? What should be paramount for him is getting the visa first. English Language is much better than Engineering due to his work experience. Wanted him to add a bit more aside being a pastor in order to make more sense in the course of his interview. Every application is different. |

irishCream: Hello Romancelanders I want to narrate my experience with online dating.
Have always been sceptical about online dating but decided to give it a try after a one year break of dating. I opted out of my previous affair because my ex's family was against him marrying from my tribe so had to end the shiiit, and i gave myself a break since he was acting so indecisive about the whole thing. Now my experience...
I am one of the few nairaland babes that do respond to pm especially if your contribution to this forum has been matured and reasonable irrespective of the section you frequent.
So of all the pms I do have, I sieve and respond to few but so far I'm not impressed with the calibre of men searching online.
After taking risk to exchange my contact and get to meet (in chaperone oh) few of them, about 3, I found out that most men searching online has something terrible about them that makes ladies turn them down in real life that's why they run to online; it is either they are unkempt, razz or not presentable. Some can't even talk like a real man, they are either too weak or timid in real life, no class no nothing.
Forget all those edited pictures used as dp and the likes most of them in real life are dirty!!!
How can a grown up guy don't know how to clean up and look neat. I mean why must your personal hygiene be zero You're meeting someone for the first time and your mouth oozes. I mean, who does that Or is that also attributed to poverty?
I have male cousins that earn less than 50k in a month but they still look neat and presentable.
Is there someone that has experienced the same, be it with male or female?
Or am I alone in this Haha. I'm so glad that you're disappointed in him. You can't meet guys like us because you're a mediocre. I wish I could give you some tips on how to get a nice guy here but I can't. I haven't met anyone on Nairaland though. |

lovable85: Good day everybody, I will love to know my chances of getting a visa approval, cos I'm a high school graduate( graduated 2007) and I have been working as a pastor ever since then(working experience), now I have applied to a community college in texas and have gotten the admission with no sat or toefl but applying for the English as a second language program and later engineering, my dad is my sponser and I'm 25 years old,and what documents should I carry for the interview. Pls reply Your age is still okay for Bachelor's Degree and English Language as a major gives you an edge. The only thing you have to do is get an admission into a university, close the gap and take SAT. Bam you're in. |

jamesflaw: jamesflaw: Good day everyone I have some questions. Need people who know about the undergraduate process well.
I applied to some schools in the U.S. for undergraduate nursing. And I have been accepted.(thank God). this is what my situation is:
1) I'm still in secondary school ss3. I used my WAEC GCE result to apply and was accepted
2) I will graduate secondary school this July and and that is when I will receive my testimonial.
Now my question is this:
If I go to the embassy, would they know that I have finished secondary school( by then I would have my transcript for ss1-ss3 ready but WAEC result may not be out) and if they know would that be a hindrance to the visa? Do the embassy people accept only the MAY/June waec result and not the NOV/DEC own? If I tell them dat I'm graduating by July, would dey tell me to wait till then before I apply for visa? And the issue of the testimonial, is it needed or only waec result and transcript is needed.
I know it's a lot of questions , but thanks to anyone to gives a reply . I appreciate Firstly, your question is a bit long and you ought to have read previous pages of this particular forum in order to get more knowledge and of course know what to do. Secondly, your files like GCE and so on, would be uploaded for the Embassy. Thirdly, please book your interview on time and get a proof that your testimonial will be ready in July and WAEC later--This is very important and do present these letters when the need arises. But in case, in the process of interview, the VO does not ask, then keep your mouth shut and do not raise the issue, so as to avoid being denied a visa. Are you taking notes? Finally, your GCE is good. I think it's much more better than WAEC but I don't really know if the VO will acknowledge this or not. They are still learning This is where you can enlighten him more if he tries to disbelieve or throw you off-balance and lay more emphasis on your non-available WAEC result. And you'll be fine. Hope you have ties to your country. Wishing the best of luck!! |
