As humans, we are capable of loving (things, fellow humans and so on) and during the process, sometimes we get hurt -real bad....
Straight to the point.... Few years back - 16 years old - I got into a relationship (lol!...right now, I think I made a mistake)
Skipped some stuffs so as not to bore you...
Some months later, I got served breakfast on a platter of gold (was young, naive and inexperienced) From the entire epistle she wrote, I clearly remember "I didn't play you" part
Coping mechanism? Listened to a lot of sad songs, played games ... but I was crazily depressed - almost killed myself (twas my first heartbreak )
Now to the reason I created this thread.... (the lessons I learnt)
Since the heartbreak, I no longer see things the same way.... I became more reserved, diverted my love, anger and depression towards other things and it was worth it - at least, I am better at PES and I learnt to stay out of unneeded relationships.
In my opinion, venturing into a relationship at a young age is not the best idea. Not everyone can survive the trauma that follows heartbreak at such young age - older people self dey feel am You can dedicate your time and energy to other profitable things like learning skills and strengthening weak areas of your lives
So, over to you? What was your first heartbreak like and how did you cope? Also, what else did you do different afterwards?
No course is easy to study as each course has its challenges. Basically, a medical student studies a medical course in the University. Some of the common medical courses in Nigeria Universities include Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry, Medical Laboratory Science, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Anatomy, Physiology and so on.I am a medical student currently studying Medical Laboratory Science in University of Ilorin and below are some of the challenges I (and most medical students) face;
1. High Cost Of Medical Textbooks.
Medical textbooks are quite expensive, especially the advanced ones. Majority of these textbooks are imported (as they are not written by Nigerians) and I think this contributes to the high cost (exchange rates). Not only are these textbooks expensive, but they are also voluminous and takes time to read.
2. High Cost Of Studying.
Medical courses are more expensive to study when compared to some other courses in the Nigerian Universities. Cost of laboratory practical manuals, laboratory practical fees, researches and so on contributes to the high cost of studying Medical courses. Laboratory practicals are important parts of medical courses because they enable students to understand complicated concepts better.
3. Long Duration of Study.
Most people will agree with me that medical courses have one of the longest duration of Study in Nigerian Universities. This is necessary to make students master the courses well inorder to avoid costly mistakes (that can claim human lives). To study medical courses, one must be ready to dedicate his/her time. Also, at the end of normal duration of Study, medical students undergo one year of internship before going for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) CONCLUSION; As I earlier noted, no course is easy to study in the University as every course has its challenges. Medical courses on the other hand have more challenges due to how complicated and hard it is (human lives are involved). This is not to scare anyone but rather to make you have a glimpse of the challenges medical students face. Feel free to add your contributions, questions and opinions in the comments section.

Thanks for sharing your experience bro.... Speaking about registration, I didn't allow my dad to go with me then, but when seeking admissions he was everywhere with me ... he'd step into any office and speak with boldness....and even when I couldn't get admitted twice he made sure I stayed focused....and these characters I still have today.... thanks to him! RIP Dad...I really missed you...
no one can perform their roles except from God....
remembered those days Mum and Dad followed me to every registration(academic).
There was one particular day my dad was carrying my travelling bag and nearly fell down....

jaszplus12: Early 1996, I fell sick suddenly and had to be rushed to the hospital. It was a private clinic and while I was waiting to see the doctor my dad was at the cashier trying to pay.... A while later he came towards me with a sour face...I couldn't read his thoughts... Much later I was attended to and given some drugs and allowed to go home. When I got better, my dad told me what happened at the cashier. He hadn't enough money to complete my treatment...so he was lost in thought... while pondering on the next move...a man was also at the cashier trying to pay for his sick child's drugs and treatment....and was leafing through a bundle of notes! Counted and paid without flinching! More than 10 times my treatment money! My dad said he felt sorry for himself that day....and so did I! From thence I promised to do all I can to give him a great retirement... unfortunately he passed before this was to be! Please share yours....
