waffiboi:Capping him now too is not late. He blew hot and cold last season so I don't even support his invite then. The guy so loved England that he gave up the chance to team up with the Super Eagles |
Golden Eaglet Lineup Amoo on the bench still

Troost Ekong's Udinese had a bad day in office as they were bullied 7-1 by Atlanta. Imagine having to pick the ball 7 times from ur net ![]() |
Okereke is back He just equalized for his club 1-1 now against Standard liege |
Good job by the boys I didn't watch the match but with the commentary from Goal.com which shows that Nigeria had 61% and 15 shots (7 on target) to Hungary 39% and 2 shots (which got them the goals), I think they did well on their first match I am still not convinced tho (owing to the scoreline in the preparatory matches they played) but maybe because I am using the 2013 set as standard. Will try and watch them subsequently to see things for myself. Congratulations to the team and everyone. I wish them "good success". |
peterd53:Bichi is the Son of DSS Chief. He was a last minute controversial inclusion in the team Rumours has it that the NFF forced the technical crew to include him in the team in order to curry favour from d DSS boss in view of the corruption charges they (the NFF top officials) are facing. |
Confirmed Bichi is not in the match day squad

OMANBALA1:Alright Sir. No more comments. |
OMANBALA1:That's not my point Sir If u observe the pattern of my post, you will observe that the comparison is between Aribo on one hand and Iorfa, and Eze (if owngoal reports about him is true) on the other hand. While Aribo wanted Nigeria and damned the consequences ("victimization by the English FA", forfeiting huge contracts and endorsement), the players on the other hand wanted the famous and monetary aspects of being an English International (which is not even sure). |
This are the words of Joe Aribo while still at Charlton and guess what?. His contract was coming to an end and he probably doesn't know what the future holds but he still wanted international football more than anything else. Arsenal-Linked Midfielder Aribo : I Am Definitely Open To Playing For Nigeria Charlton Athletic young star, Joe Aribo has not excluded the possibility of representing the Super Eagles in the near future but has maintained that he has not been approached by the Nigeria Football Federation. Born in Camberwell, London, Aribo has no representative caps for England teams and doesn't have to apply for a one-time change of association before playing for the Super Eagles. The 22-year-old is widely regarded as the best modern day midfielder of Nigerian descent in the whole of England as he possesses defensive and offensive qualities and can play all the positions in midfield. Aribo was contacted on Thursday afternoon to provide an update on his international future and everything is pointing to the fact that he has chosen Nigeria over England. The Addicks number 17 told allnigeriasoccer.com : ''I am definitely open to playing for Nigeria, I'd be happy to play. ''There has been no contact with the Nigeria Football Federation. I'll honour the invitation if I get a call-up.'' Aribo comes off contract with Charlton Athletic at the end of next month and is on the radar of Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester City. Source : All Nigeria Soccer Aribo for me, is an example of a serious player who knows what he wants, not all these other ones playing "hide and Seek" upandan. |
What shall it profit a player if he shall gain the whole money (by making "big money" moves, signing huge endorsements, getting fat contracts) and not getting noticed in international football? Dominic Iorfa |
komekn:It might be too late by then. You can ask Iorfa ![]() |
komekn:Abeg shift Even Teamnigeriauk can't believe their eyes and refuse to believe the story because almost everyone agrees that the call up is just at the right time |
Aftermath of the Southampton- Leicester match, here is a post I read on twitter "That's why I like Naija league. There's no way home team will lose 9-0 and any player from either of the teams will leave the pitch alive. No way." So funny ![]() |
Tomori latest interview “England called me up in September, and I didn’t get a call up from anyone and when they called me up, it was hard to say no to them,” he said. “But I enjoy Nigerian music, I’m Nigerian, it’s my culture and I’m very proud of it.” I just don't know what all these guys take us for. Why can't they learn to take responsibility for their decisions? ![]() |
Super Eagles Too Big To Be Treated As Plan B – Rohr Shut The Door On Tomori The chances of Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori playing for Nigeria still remains valid after his bench role for the Three Lions of England in the last round of international games where they played against Czech Republic and Bulgaria respectively. Tomori was an unused substitute in both games that would have tied him to the English team permanently as both games were competitive fixture. Playing in any of them would have ended his chances of switching allegiance to Nigeria. His bench role means he is still available for selection for the senior national team of Nigeria if he is called up although the process will take at least a year to be approved by FIFA. Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has however ruled out the chances of that happening insisting that his team have moved on from Tomori since he made public his decision to play for England. ” He pick where he is comfortable and we wish him all the best with England. No point thinking we can have him back as it will be dangerous if we allow players view our team as second option when all fails, I think we are bigger than that. I hope he succeeds with England “, Rohr said. Source : Owngoal |

Bolowolowo:Well, quitting the WAFU and CHAN is just making the NFF shy away from their responsibility which is developing our league. I believe if our league are better funded and organised, we can be an unstoppable force in any competition. |
Nigeria drop to 35th in the latest FIFA ranking despite the score draw with Brazil. Big thanks to Imama |
Ex Nigeria U17 Goalkeeper Could Gatecrash Super Eagles Squad For AFCON Qualifiers After Impressing In Israel As coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr continue his search for more options in goal for the Super Eagles of Nigeria to abate the goalkeepers crisis rocking the team, former Nigeria U17 goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye is one of the options available. With regular first choice of the senior national team of Nigeria Francis Uzoho injured, Rohr has expanded his search for new goalkeepers to make up for his absence with just Maduka Okoye and Ikechukwu Ezenwa the only options available to him as the coach appears to have closed the door on Daniel Akpeyi despite his recent fine form for Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa. 19 year old Adeleye plays for second division Isreal side Hapoel Katamon, who are third on the table and so far he has played in all of their league games this season with three clean sheets to his name. Rohr has reportedly posted his scouts to watch the goalkeeper and if the reports turns out to be positive he will be called up to the team for upcoming AFCON 2021 Qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho respectively. A member of the 2017 Under-17 team of Nigeria that failed to qualify for the Africa U17 Cup of Nations and subsequently the World Youth Championship, he has grown in leaps and bound since arriving Israel a year ago. His move to the country where legendary Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama started his career abroad was facilitated by Israeli agent David Ouziel and the player rose through to the youth ranks to the first team. tbaba1234:The silence from the NFF and Rohr on the issue Eze is surprising. Even The SE media officer (Toyin Ibitoye) that usually reply his tweets didn't say a word when I sent him a message on Twitter. Could Eze be among the guys whose change of allegiance is currently being processed already? What exactly is the problem? Ayam not understanding at all |
Humility017:I tire for the matter o my brother |
