2017 will be remembered for a lot of things. Amazing feats of achievement in the area of Science will be one of those things.

Science have done great in the past one year, there are great innovations and advancements in all areas from health care, to rocket science, to agriculture, and even to the trending block chain technology and cryptocurrency . The advancement is exponential and many people without science background can till appreciate this advancements.

Here in this post I have compile a list of eight ( amazing feats achieved by scientists this year, in no particular order. These feats are the works of many years of research and experimentation, some of these feats are just a step in the direction of something bigger. Watch out for 2018. Here is the list below:

A Facebook engineer has invented a new unit of your time known as a flick.

The flick has been designed to assist developers keep video effects in synchronize, consistent with an outline on the code-sharing website GitHub.

A flick, derived from “frame-tick”, is 1/705,600,000 of a second – the next unit of time after a nanosecond.

A researcher at Oxford University said the flick would not have a lot of general impact but could facilitate produce better virtual reality experiences.

Flicks are outlined within the programming language C++, that is employed to get visual effects for film, tv and alternative media.

Banana is the miracle fruit

MTN the leading telecommunications company in Africa, the company reached another milestone recently, during it collaboration with its partner Ericsson they successfully tested their 5G capabilities in Johannesburg, South Africa.

MTN and Ericsson trialled the first tests for lightning-fast 5G in Africa during the first week of 2018, with a live demonstration on Monday.

This follows the signing by the two companies of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at AfricaCom 2017 to collaborate on the rollout of 5G technologies in South Africa, one of the first of its kind in Africa.

2018 is turning out to be one crazy year already. So much talk about artificial intelligence and sexbots.

Sexbot company Realbotix has announced that it will be releasing a male sex robot with a “bionic penis” that would be “better than a vibrator.”

I can’t help but wonder what is the driving force behind this, could it be demand for equality(like the company seem to be claiming) or pure business or even both. The way the world is going this year, 2018 will certainly eclipse 2017 on perversion and vanity.

The fleet of U.S. spy satellites has just welcomed a new member.

The NROL-47 spacecraft soared into Earth orbit today (Jan. 12), riding atop a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Delta IV Medium rocket that lifted off from California’s Vandenberg Air Force Base at 5:11 p.m. EST (2211 GMT, 2:11 p.m. local California time).

NROL-47 will be operated by the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), which builds and manages the United States’ spy satellites. NRO missions tend to be hush-hush, and NROL-47 is no exception; no details have been released about the satellite’s planned activities. Read more in the link below

1. Dancing Building, Czech Republic


The Dancing House or “Fred and Ginger” is situated in Prague, Czech Republic. This is an amazing masterpiece of architecture, which has its own romantic charm. There is something so intriguing in the way the buildings hug each other for a dance! It was designed by Vlado Milunic in cooperation with Frank Gehry, it is a stylish and amazing building, which became a symbol of the city!

At 39, Nabatanzi has 38 children whom she has delivered from home except the last born who is four months old. She was delivered by caesarean section. Among her children are six sets of twins, four sets of triplets, three sets of quadruples and single births. Ten of these are girls and the rest are boys. A bully is whoever that carries out any of of the things mentioned above. A bully can be anyone, from friends, family( immediate and extended), colleagues, and some times we are the bully.

The advent of the internet has made it very easy for any media to go viral, this could be for good or for bad.

More than 1,000 young people have been charged by police in Denmark with distributing sexually explicit material.

They are accused of using Facebook Messenger to share indecent video clips of two 15-year-olds having sex.

Police said it could amount to distribution of indecent images of children, as the two people filmed are under 18.

Also, preachers who invites themselves to one another's church and uses that oppotunity to raise money from God's people for one another are of those that peddles the word of God for profit. Preacher 'A' is invited to Preacher B's church and 'B' raises money for 'A' and 'A' does the same to 'B' at another time, rotating the game.

Hi Sir,
My Uncle has a bore hole for demostic use. It uses a 1.5HP pump, but because of the quality of light from the national grid they sometimes don't pump when there is need. I will like to know if solar power system can be used for the borehole pump alone and at what cost(estimate)?
