FrankC3: APC well oiled propaganda machine at work. Meanwhile:
So which do we believe? This report is not saying that Lamido made any statements indicating that he will not support GEJ re-election, Vanguard is saying that because the President's posters were not aired during the rally, therefore Lamido does not support the President. You see exactly the reason why hot tempered men like BUHARI jail journalists for 100 years? When Vanguard,Thisday and Tribune report anything against jonathan, you should know there is actually a problem! |

Politics › Buhari’s Popularity On Social Media Was Bought- Reno Omokri by Clerverly(op): 8:46pm On Dec 29, 2014 |
The Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on New Media, Reno Omokri has faulted the popularity of former dictator and presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari on the social media.
He argued that the popularity of Buhari on social media was bought through sponsored posts, stressing that it is a cheap way of getting followership. He also shared a post on his twitter handle to corroborate his argument.
RenoBuhari RenoBuharii“It shows the level of hypocrisy and deceit. Anybody can grow followership with adverts but a true proof of popularity on social media should be organic. The almost two million followers of President Goodluck Jonathan are organic, a show of the love of Nigerians for him and his administration,” he said.
Omokri noted that it is wrong to compare the popularity of President Jonathan on social media with that of Buhari. “There is no basis to compare the two because they are miles apart. President Jonathan enjoys the support of Nigerians as evident by the millions of Nigerians that follow his official Facebook account, Goodluck Jonathan. The number of likes, comments and shares of his posts is commendable. I am not sure that Buhari has up to 60,000 likes on Facebook with the money spent so far by his camp to boost his popularity on social media.”
President Jonathan is verified on Facebook where he has a following of 1,740,124 while Buhari is not verified and has 51,536 followers on Facebook. - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/12/reno-omokri-faults-buharis-popularity-social-media/#sthash.467dbf2g.dpufhttps://dvsl3w2q45hb8.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/RenoBuharii.jpg

I Pity Jonathan in 2015! |
Politics › Exclusive: Why Governor Lamido Abandoned Jonathan by Clerverly(op): 8:28pm On Dec 29, 2014 |
Indications emerged, weekend, that Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State had openly rejected the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.
Although there had been speculations in the past that Lamido was unhappy with Jonathan over the way he had been treated by the leadership of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party and the president’s unfulfilled promises to the state, Lamido openly voiced his opposition to Jonathan’s candidacy at a PDP rally in Dutse on Saturday.
Apparently to send Lamido’s message loud and clear to the Presidency, the event which was held at the state capital, was transmitted live via a private television station with national coverage.
Again, to prove his anger against Jonathan, the organisers of the PDP event deliberately and carefully avoided displaying the President’s posters throughout the rally.
On the other hand, the campaign posters of the governorship candidate of the PDP in the state and those of other contestants for the state and national elections were conspicuously and generously displayed.
Besides, rather than await the President to present the flags to the PDP candidates as is the custom of the party, the governor went ahead to perform the event, apparently preventing Jonathan from performing the political tradition just before elections.
None of the candidates canvassed for support for Jonathan throughout the rally, which was well attended by the members of the party in the state.
Vanguard learnt from a top source in Dutse on Sunday that Lamido felt bitter and betrayed by both Jonathan and the PDP for not doing any tangible project in Jigawa State after he had risked his life and those of his family members to work for Jonathan’s victory in 2011.
The source pointed out that the refusal or the inability of Jonathan to undertake any of the four key projects, which he openly promised the people during his 2011 campaign had pitted the governor against the political leaders and people of the state.
President Jonathan, it was learnt, had promised to build a cargo airport in Dutse, rebuild broken federal roads abandoned in the state for over 20 years, construct a dam at Auyo and build a major waterworks in the capital, four promises yet to be fulfilled with less than two months to the next polls.
It was also revealed out of the N15 billion spent by state government on the building of the Duste International Airport, which Jonathan commissioned on October 21 this year, the Federal Government had only chipped in less than a billion.
A top source in the state confided in Vanguard that Lamido was being portrayed as a traitor by most of the citizens, who see him as supporting Jonathan for personal reasons but working against their interest. - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/12/gov-lamido-moving-jonathan/#sthash.zVX3XGVu.dpuf

Politics › Re: Buhari Live On Channels TV by Clerverly: 11:02pm On Dec 07, 2014 |
IdomaLikita: I watched the Interview and I'd rate him 70% His Answers were Simple and he chose his words carefully since he knows Nigerians are watching keenly to twist his words against him!
1. Corruption: "Other Sectors will take time to contribute significantly to our GDP, hence we should prioritize Stabilizing Oil Prices and Plugging Wastage from top to bottom while waiting for other sectors to mature"
#Strength: For christ sake, isn't that what prominent economists have been saying all the while?? Plug wastage, reduce cost of governance, diversify(while will not mature any time soon) and use our position in OPEC to stabilize Oil prices(which is fairly stable now)! His ability to summarize this is Simple terms earns him a 60%
#Weakness; His Inability to use technical terms and quote figures cost him 40%
2: Security: "The Soldiers are complaining of not having enough Weaponry despite the huge disbursements from the FG" "Nigeria would have Initiated Chad, Cameroun and Niger earlier before now"
#Strength: He won the Hearts of the Military by absolving them of blame( smart political move) and laid the blame indirectly on the Govt and Military Hqtrs for siphoning funds meant for combat! He Bolstered this assertion further by saying "Nigeria didn't borrow a Dime while fighting the Civil War, hence a $1Billion Loan is unjustifiable". This also exposes the corruption that is Sabotaging the War effort! I'll give him a 70% in this Regard
#Weakness: The Government is already implementing some of his suggestions though late, thus requiring the need for brand new ideas which he lacked! He lost 30% there!
3. Flexibility: "I cannot work outside the Decision of my Party", "I signed the Undertaking..."
#Strength: it shows he is willing to work as a team with others who may not share similar Ideals as his! That shows Team spirit and and ability to defer to the Decisions of the Party Hierarchy! For a Man who has been seen as an Autocrat! I think he has proven his skeptics wrong! I give him a 100% in this regard
#Weakness: None!
4. Patriotic: "I do not regret truncating the Shagari Regime" I think that was his finest moment! Any Admission of regret would have automatically ended his political career!
#Strength: 'Democracy is not an avenue to destroy institutions and watch unprecedented Stealing"! The events in Egypt, Thailand, Burkina Faso and soon Togo all vindicate him! He values State institutions much more than anything and would do anything necessary to protect it! (This is the reason why Sisi and Zida still enjoy 90% popularity in their countries despite toppling democratic regimes)! I score him an 60% in this regard!
#Weakness: He should have used events in other countries and the antecedents of his era to back his assertion! He would have used the opportunity to brag about his achievements within his 18month rule as against the Shagari regime! It cost him 40%
The Man looked kinda Frail though!
Wish him the Best! May the gods bless you! |
