Politics / One Factor That Will Give Tinubu A Massive Victory by Clevite(m): 4:01pm On Jan 25, 2023
An Analysis By A Notorious BATIST, Sunday Wale Adeniran (SWA)

Let me give us a little analysis on one angle that will give Tinubu a massive victory.

Before we go into the details, let’s observe this breakdown:

APC States
NW - 6/7
NE - 3/6
NC - 5/6
SW - 4/6
SE - 2/5
SS - 1/6
Total - 21/36

PDP States
NW - 1/7
NE - 3/6
NC - 1/6
SW - 2/6
SE - 2/5
SS - 5/6
Total - 14/36

Chicken Republic aka APGA
1 State

Now let’s go one by one.

North West
I will not mince words in telling you that the only state in NW that is under PDP govt will not be won by Atiku. Tinubu will win Sokoto state.
I don’t see him losing any other state as well in North West. NNPP will put up a good fight in Kano but it is PDP that will suffer from that excepted good showing because Kwankwaso was with Atiku in the last election.

North East
I still don’t give Adamawa and Taraba to APC but the remaining four states of Borno, Yobe, Gombe and Bauchi (a PDP governed state) will be won by Asiwaju and whatever margin Atiku may gain in Adamawa, Yobe should be able to cancel it and we will have a reservoir of votes from Borno.

North Central
PDP has only Benue in NC but their only Governor is openly against Atiku’s ambition. Ortom is more concerned about his senatorial ambition than Atiku’s presidential race. However, I still see PDP getting a good number of vote in Benue despite the fact that LP will do some damage to them.
Plateau is also not a state I have enough conviction to say would go Tinubu’s way and so I stick with Niger, Nasarawa, Kogi and Kwara.

South West
Oyo and Osun are PDP states but Seyi Makinde did not attend Atiku’s rally. It is true that a Governor doesn’t solely determine the outcome of a presidential election in his state but it is safer, better and of more electoral importance to have a Governor of your party working for you.
Adeleke is an Atiku man but the people of Osun will vote for Tinubu.
Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo and Lagos are only concerned about the margin not about winning.

South East
APC has two Governors but I am not one of those who say that Asiwaju will win a state in South East. However, whatever our loss in that zone, LP will help minimize it against our real opponent, PDP and we shouldn’t over flog that because it is too late at this point in time for SE voters to all go back to PDP. They want to make a loud statement and while I agree that they may still win that zone overall, their historic margin will be greatly reduced.

South South
This is the zone where PDP has its highest number of Governors but things have really fallen apart in Delta and Edo almost beyond repair. I have not said that Atiku won’t win these states but I have not also said that he will win. LP will have good number of natural PDP votes here too.
Cross River is an APC controlled state and we are expected to have a good showing there. Akwa Ibom will be won by PDP. Bayelsa will be fair too but the real battle is Rivers state.
Wike has a point to prove and he will prove it.

If you take time to digest this, you’ll know that Insha Allah, Tinubu is Nigeria’s next President.

These must have been some snippet groups left out of the Tinubu/Shettima, Atiku and Kwakwanso arrangements.

They felt what must have befallen them, and just decided to make a statement in their own little way to appear somewhat relevant in the scheme of things.

They are the protesting left overs. Talk of the majority having the way and the minority having their say. That's what is happening here.

Politicians Caught Sleeping In Public (Pictures)

Sleeping is a natural phenomenom and this can be caused oftetimes when someone doesn't get enough sleep over an elongated period of time. Several Nigerian politicians and even those abroad have been caught on camera sleeping which is most likely as a result of stress from their extreme work loads.

In their defence, they have been having sleepless nights working on ensuring the best for the citizens of the country. Here are some notable politicians who have been caught sleeping in public.

Some of them are:
Peter Obi, Bola Tinubu, Atiku, Rochas Okorocha, Olusegun ObasanjoOlusegun Obasanjo, Umar Ganduje, Babatunde Fashola, Willie Obiano, Nyesom Wike and several other political leaders abroad.

Below are the pictures showing the very moment they were caught sleeping:

With this defection, the little number of potential votes Peter Obi could have gotten in Jigawa State are substantially gone.

Politics / Keyamo Sues Atiku, The EFCC, And Others Over Allegations Of Money Laundering by Clevite(m): 7:59pm On Jan 20, 2023
The spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo, has filed a writ of summons at the Federal High Court in Abuja against the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, over corruption allegations.

Earlier, the APC presidential campaign council issued a 72-hour ultimatum seeking Atiku Abubakar's arrest by law enforcement authorities, based on an audio recording released by Atiku Abubakar's former aide Michael Achimugu.

In a letter addressed to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), and the Conduct of Conduct Bureau (CCB), on Monday, Keyamo gave the agencies 72 hours to begin prosecution of Abubakar.

Keyamo also alleged that Abubakar is in violation of section 18(2) of the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022, and section 96(1) of the Penal Code.

In the suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/84/2023, Keyamo is asking the court for an order compelling the PDP candidate “to submit himself to the CCB, ICPC, and EFCC for a thorough investigation”.

In the suit, Keyamo noted that with "information available to him in respect of a certain bank account belonging to a company named Marine Float and other accounts of two undisclosed companies, which information he disclosed to a certain close aide of his called Michael Achimugu, as to how the said accounts were used as a ‘Special Purpose Vehicles’ to secretly divert and misappropriate public funds between 1999 and 2007 when the 1st defendant (Atiku) served as vice president of Nigeria”.

The suit also seeks to compel the 1st defendant (Atiku Abubakar) "to submit himself" to the EFCC, Code of Conduct Bureau, and the ICPC, "for a thorough investigation in connection with information available to him in respect of a certain bank account belonging to a company named Marine Float."

Crime / Security Guard, 3 Others Sentenced To Death For Armed Robbery, Murder In Osun by Clevite(m): 8:11pm On Jan 16, 2023
A 54-year-old security guard, Owolabi Bashiru, and three others have been sentenced to death by hanging by Justice Jide Falola of an Osun State High Court, Osogbo, for armed robbery and murder.

Other convicts are Hammed Rafiu (37), Rasidi Waidi (39), and Kayode Sunday (29).

The convicts were arraigned on the 23rd of October 2019 on six counts charges of conspiracy, armed robbery, murder, stealing, and kidnapping.

After their plea of nonguilty, prosecution counsel from the Ministry of Justice, Dele Akintayo, called four witnesses and tendered several exhibits before the court.

The convicts were said to have murdered one Victor Akinbile a cousin of former Deputy Governor, Adegboyega Alabi who traveled to Ikirun, on the 26th day of November 2018 to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Alabi and Adegboyega Oyetola as Governor then.

The prosecution told the court how the security informed the other three convicts of the arrival of the victim and they jumped through the fence to murder him.

“Having gained entrance into the house through a burglary window, they demanded the sum of N10 million from Victor who told them he didn’t have up to that amount. He transferred a sum of N3 million to Hammed Rafiu.

“After collecting the money, the convicts later kidnapped Victor and put him inside his Toyota Camry car boot and drove him to Dominion Camp, area old Iragbiji road along Ikirun/Osogbo road and set him and car ablaze,” the prosecutor told the court.

The convicts were said to have robbed one Alhaji Azeez Olusegun behind Oluwo’s House, Eweta, Ikirun on October 8, 2018, where they stole a Toyota Camry (muzzle) with registration number Lagos JJJ 371 AA and also collected N620,000.

Justice Falola agreed that the prosecution has proven his case beyond reasonable doubt and convicted them on six counts of charges preferred against them.

He subsequently sentenced them to death by hanging and ordered that all the cash recovered from the convicts and cash in their bank accounts should be handed over to the wife of the deceased, warning that none of them should benefit from state pardon.

Meet 4 of the largest Greek-owned companies operating in Nigeria

By Ngozi Ekugo

The number of Nigerian companies with Greek origins may not be much, but they are certainly quite impactful.

The bilateral trade relations between Nigeria and Greece date back to 1970 when both countries established diplomatic relations. Before then, Greek companies had been operating in Nigeria, with some dating as far back as many decades ago playing significant roles in the Nigerian economy, essentially in manufacturing.

Over the years, trade between the two countries concentrated in Maritime trade with Greek-owned ships carrying Nigerian crude oil.

The Greek investment companies have been making in the Nigerian economy keep on growing. For example, in 2005, Greek-owned Flour Mills of Nigeria announced an investment of US$ 350 million to create a cement factory in Calabar with project costs rising to US$500 million.

Other companies of Greek origin in Nigeria are household names that have contributed to the economy, employed many Nigerians, and given back to society.

The election is substantially between Tinubu and Atiku in Osun. Obi and others are just not close there. I see Tinubu getting very close to 60% of the votes in Osun, if not up to or more than that.

Apart from the fact that he has his footsoldiers and structure still very solidly on ground here, the 'omo wa ni ' and the Anti-Fulani sentiment factors are very strong in his favour in this election.

Very well, though he might not win Osun. Osun has always been almost 50:50 APC and PDP strong base,in my personal estimation.

The number of Senatorial and House of Reps PDP candidates contesting, coupled with the Governor's incumbency weight may help Atiku get the needed 25%.

If you know how narrow-spaced the Freedom Park used for Obi's campaign today is, you would know that Obi has got a long way to go for depending on such number of people filling such a little space, even after his people have used canopies to narrow down the space the more.

Freedom Park is at the popular Old Garage, located in the very heart of Osogbo. It's a place that, by default, is always populated on a normal day, with or with no political campaign.

Anybody saying obi no get infrastructure to him name never go anambra before
Governor Charles Soludo, one of his successors has said something about Obi's performance in infrastructure.

"In Anambra State, Quality roads are referred to Ngige roads while the roads washing off are called Peter Obi roads" - Soludo.

“A Bishop recently publicly advised that I should please try to construct the “Ngige type of quality roads”, stating that the ones done by his successor (that is, Peter Obi) had washed off, while Ngige’s remained. I promised and we are delivering quality roads that Anambra has not seen before.” - Soludo. https://pmnewsnigeria-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/pmnewsnigeria.com/2022/11/14/peter-obi-threw-anambra-into-massive-poverty-level-as-governor-soludo/?amp=1&amp_gsa=1&amp_js_v=a9&usqp=mq331AQKKAFQArABIIACAw%3D%3D#amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&aoh=16729327134095&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fpmnewsnigeria.com%2F2022%2F11%2F14%2Fpeter-obi-threw-anambra-into-massive-poverty-level-as-governor-soludo%2F

Chris Ngige has said something about it too. He was Obi's predecessor.

"When you get to that state, you will know. All the notable roads there (in Anambra), are the roads constructed by Ngige between 2003 and 2006.”

About the roads constructed by Obi, Ngige said,

" They are all washed off; those ones are gone. They didn’t last more than five years, they are gone.”
