Advocate500:The order of Supreme Court takes precedence over that of any lower court in respect of the same subject matter. It is just elementary knowledge in law. That lower Court's order has become a mere academic exercise by this order of the Supreme Court. |
Joevics:It is a case of State Governments versus Federal Government. Supreme Court is the only Court to hear the case. |
This injunction effectively overrules the order of the High Court of FCT that earlier restrained the CBN from extending the date beyond February 10. The jurisdiction of the FCT Court to make the order is questionable in the first place. |

This video is meant to cause serious heart pains for Peter Obi's supporters beyond the initial joy they will derive from the title given to the video. The video is sent out under a wrong title to attract the Obidients to watch it till the end, only to find out that the video is actually promoting Bola Tinubu. Only those Obidients who would rush to comment without reading or viewing contents will escape falling into this set trap of heartbreak. |

Suspected hoodlums on Monday razed two offices of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ede, the country home of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke. There are claims that the hoodlums attacked the APC offices to protest the ruling of the Osun governorship election petition tribunal which sacked Adeleke. The APC office in the Ede-South was razed while the party’s office located in Ede North was destroyed by the hoodlums. The Chairman of APC in Ede, Mufutao Oyewale in a statement alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State recruited thugs to create unrest in the community following the Tribunal’s verdict. He said, “Along the streets of Ede in particular and the state in general, to see dangerous political thugs dangling and brandishing new cutlasses and guns all in the name of enjoyment of amity with the state government. “We enjoined the Commissioner of Police and other sister security agencies in the state to come to the aid of the APC members and leaders in Ede who are being hunted by the PDP thugs like animals in the bush.” Another group of hoodlums on Monday also attacked the Tinubu/Shettima’s campaign office in Ilesha, destroying property within the premises. The acting PDP chairman in Osun State, Adekunle Akindele in his reaction to the incidents denied the allegations. He said, “Osun PDP members only engage in peaceful protests all over the State. Our members did not attack anybody. Osun APC is raising false alarm simply because it was in trouble over its attempt to steal a popular mandate through the backdoor.” By Enioluwa Adeniyi https://www./2023/01/30/thugs-burn-apc-offices-in-adelekes-hometown/ |
9Nice is right. After all, some people want to vote Peter Obi because he wears only one type of cloth, and carries his own bag himself, and because he has been wearing only one wristwatch since the days of Father Abraham! |
Fake News peddlers like this will be very much at work during these coming elections. To avoid heart attack, BEWARE of FAKE NEWS media like this:

To Peter Obi, Labour Party is only a Special Purpose Vehicle and nothing more. Whether the purpose is accomplished or not, Labour Party is meant to be dumped after use by Obi. |
The fact remains that at least 6 out of every 10 person at Peter Obi's campaign in any Northern State is most likely an Igbo. So, Obi is sure to get a fairly good attendance in any State in the North, because Igbos are plenty every where. |
Ancestortinubu:Then he is goner. Having just 10% in 19 Northern States, when he needs 25% in at least 24 States in addition to majority votes, will make him lose flatly. |
Flathead8:The analysis is in agreement with your projection about SE. The analysis also doesn't project Tinubu to win any SE States, despite having 2 Governors in the Region. It only projects that whatever advantage PDP may have above APC over there will be weakened by LP's expected good showing. |
EdoBoy90:Yes, like they did for Bashir Tofa in 1993 against M.K.O Abiola; for Muhammadu Buhari and Atiku Abubakar in 2003 & 2007 against Olusegun Obasanjo; for Muhammadu Buhari and Nuhu Ribadu in 2011 against Goodluck Jonathan. |
An Analysis By A Notorious BATIST, Sunday Wale Adeniran (SWA) Let me give us a little analysis on one angle that will give Tinubu a massive victory. Before we go into the details, let’s observe this breakdown: APC States NW - 6/7 NE - 3/6 NC - 5/6 SW - 4/6 SE - 2/5 SS - 1/6 Total - 21/36 PDP States NW - 1/7 NE - 3/6 NC - 1/6 SW - 2/6 SE - 2/5 SS - 5/6 Total - 14/36 Chicken Republic aka APGA 1 State Now let’s go one by one. North West I will not mince words in telling you that the only state in NW that is under PDP govt will not be won by Atiku. Tinubu will win Sokoto state. I don’t see him losing any other state as well in North West. NNPP will put up a good fight in Kano but it is PDP that will suffer from that excepted good showing because Kwankwaso was with Atiku in the last election. North East I still don’t give Adamawa and Taraba to APC but the remaining four states of Borno, Yobe, Gombe and Bauchi (a PDP governed state) will be won by Asiwaju and whatever margin Atiku may gain in Adamawa, Yobe should be able to cancel it and we will have a reservoir of votes from Borno. North Central PDP has only Benue in NC but their only Governor is openly against Atiku’s ambition. Ortom is more concerned about his senatorial ambition than Atiku’s presidential race. However, I still see PDP getting a good number of vote in Benue despite the fact that LP will do some damage to them. Plateau is also not a state I have enough conviction to say would go Tinubu’s way and so I stick with Niger, Nasarawa, Kogi and Kwara. South West Oyo and Osun are PDP states but Seyi Makinde did not attend Atiku’s rally. It is true that a Governor doesn’t solely determine the outcome of a presidential election in his state but it is safer, better and of more electoral importance to have a Governor of your party working for you. Adeleke is an Atiku man but the people of Osun will vote for Tinubu. Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo and Lagos are only concerned about the margin not about winning. South East APC has two Governors but I am not one of those who say that Asiwaju will win a state in South East. However, whatever our loss in that zone, LP will help minimize it against our real opponent, PDP and we shouldn’t over flog that because it is too late at this point in time for SE voters to all go back to PDP. They want to make a loud statement and while I agree that they may still win that zone overall, their historic margin will be greatly reduced. South South This is the zone where PDP has its highest number of Governors but things have really fallen apart in Delta and Edo almost beyond repair. I have not said that Atiku won’t win these states but I have not also said that he will win. LP will have good number of natural PDP votes here too. Cross River is an APC controlled state and we are expected to have a good showing there. Akwa Ibom will be won by PDP. Bayelsa will be fair too but the real battle is Rivers state. Wike has a point to prove and he will prove it. If you take time to digest this, you’ll know that Insha Allah, Tinubu is Nigeria’s next President. #SWA Source: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid02rQYUcUuBmW6UN5Y7KDzGnGwpZLRZhZQkt2bNV96eU8dG4x9xiDP1j4MHLaCpR49hl&id=100002462624712&mibextid=Nif5oz |
These must have been some snippet groups left out of the Tinubu/Shettima, Atiku and Kwakwanso arrangements. They felt what must have befallen them, and just decided to make a statement in their own little way to appear somewhat relevant in the scheme of things. They are the protesting left overs. Talk of the majority having the way and the minority having their say. That's what is happening here. |

A Governorship candidate of a Party in any State is automatically the number one votes mobilizer for the Party's Presidential candidate in such State. With this defection, the little number of potential votes Peter Obi could have gotten in Jigawa State are substantially gone. |
The spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo, has filed a writ of summons at the Federal High Court in Abuja against the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, over corruption allegations. Earlier, the APC presidential campaign council issued a 72-hour ultimatum seeking Atiku Abubakar's arrest by law enforcement authorities, based on an audio recording released by Atiku Abubakar's former aide Michael Achimugu. In a letter addressed to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), and the Conduct of Conduct Bureau (CCB), on Monday, Keyamo gave the agencies 72 hours to begin prosecution of Abubakar. Keyamo also alleged that Abubakar is in violation of section 18(2) of the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022, and section 96(1) of the Penal Code. In the suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/84/2023, Keyamo is asking the court for an order compelling the PDP candidate “to submit himself to the CCB, ICPC, and EFCC for a thorough investigation”. In the suit, Keyamo noted that with "information available to him in respect of a certain bank account belonging to a company named Marine Float and other accounts of two undisclosed companies, which information he disclosed to a certain close aide of his called Michael Achimugu, as to how the said accounts were used as a ‘Special Purpose Vehicles’ to secretly divert and misappropriate public funds between 1999 and 2007 when the 1st defendant (Atiku) served as vice president of Nigeria”. The suit also seeks to compel the 1st defendant (Atiku Abubakar) "to submit himself" to the EFCC, Code of Conduct Bureau, and the ICPC, "for a thorough investigation in connection with information available to him in respect of a certain bank account belonging to a company named Marine Float." https://www.nigeriainfo.fm/news/homepage/keyamo-sues-atiku-the-efcc-and-others-over-allegations-of-money-laundering/ |

Beremx:Denying Obi the use of Stadium would be saving him of embarrassment. However Obi has always known how to put canopies to use in large places to create a smaller space for his family meetings and naming ceremonies called campaigns, to avoid embarrassment. |
