Nairaland GeneralIs Baldness An Indication Of Abundant Wealth? by cliffypatt(op): 1:24pm On Nov 27, 2012
It's been said and believed, that men with bald heads, are affluent. I am inquisitive and I want to know if this credence that has subsisted for aeons is true, cause I once heard that if a man's hair is falling out due to baldness, then it is a sign of abundant wealth in the future. So guys is it true that baldness is an indication of abundant wealth or is this an erroneous belief?

deevick246: Na you suppose know wetin to talk, because only you know what transpired between you and the VO during your interview. However, lemme give you an idea... Just say that you didn't give it your best shoot, being your first interview and that's why you had to return well prepared this time.
My advice, just be yourself.
ok pal thanks...

deevick246: Hey Master or miss Cliffypaff,

what the hell is wrong with the August 10th date?. If your school resumes on the 22nd of August, so why bother yourself about the 10th of August available date? You have better jump at it and start preparing for the visa interview. If you think you will get June or July date, you are just wasting your time.

My advice to you is that you correct the flop in your previous refusal, because a sure question for you would be, "why were you refused the other time you applied"? Best of luck.
@deevick246 pertaining this question "why were you refused the other time you applied"? it's onerous for me to get an answer, please can you provide me with a good response to this question? I will be grateful if you can help me. Thanks
The Airport post-office is good, i think they clear out like everyday. I once posted stuff from there with about N200 (unregistered mail) and it took 5 days to get to the recipient in Texas (that was some years ago though).

I said this here before, schools and departments always have something (sometimes, not very relevant things) to boast about themselves on their websites. They talk about having the best this or that or their ranking. That is what is supposed to attract you to them in the first place, you can build your story around this and tell the VO how you plan to benefit from that.
Thanks for the advise, i will do as you have advised...Thanks I appreciate.

TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part2 by cliffypatt(m):
Hi all,

I was refused a visa on the 24th of may, and I was informed by my friend that my next appointment will be August 10th, cos I was denied the visa, and he said that's the date they have available at the embassy, and my school resumes on the 22nd of August, please is there any other way for me to get an appointment at the Embassy before the month of August, I will be happy to get a date in June or July, so house what do I do? I need an appointment before August, because my school resumes on the 22nd of August, and I don't want to complicate issues during my next interview with the visa officer, as the appointment date which is August 10th, might be a problem cause my school resumes on the 22nd of August, so please house advise, is it possible for me to get an appointment before August? and how do i get the appointment if it possible? God bless you all.

deevick246: What's the name of the school? 'This one way Consular Officer say him never hear about †ђε school before so'. Anyway, its possible for him not to have heard about †ђε school before, because there are a thousand and one universities and colleges in the US, so no one can possibly know all of them. However, I still feel you didn't provide strong and convincing reasons/points for wanting to study in the US and why you chose your University.
@deevick246, I will appreciate if you can provide me with answers concerning convincing reasons/points for wanting to study in the US and why i chose the University...Thanks

Hi all, i went for my F1 interview, on may 24th, and i was denied, i don't know why i was denied, and to the best of my knowledge, i had all what they wanted, traveling experience, TOEFL, etc, although i was nervous during the interview, of which it showed when i was talking, i was interviewed by a black guy, specified below is how the interview went:

Me: Good afternoon sir
Visa officer: yeah good afternoon
Visa officer:why do you want to go to the US?
me: told him
Visa officer: got SAT
me: no I wrote TOEFL, cause that's what my school requested from me to prove my proficiency

me: told him
Visa officer: you attended Lagos state polytechnic?
me: yes sir
Visa officer: have you traveled before?
me: told him
Visa officer: why did you choose this school?
me: told him

and that was all, the visa officer a black guy was was typing very fast, and after that he was thinking whether to issue me the visa or not, he looked at me for about 1 and a half minutes and then he slowly printed out the white denial paper and said sorry i can't issue the visa, as I was going he was looking at me, and then i came back and asked Sir! can i reapply again, he said yes and looked at me with pity.

NOTE: I am a transfer student, the visa officer didn't request for any document, i.e sponsor's bank statement, or ties or any info concerning my sponsor, he only requested for my I-20, MRV, Sevis, and International passport. he requested for SAT, which i didn't write. the visa officer a black guy was thinking if he will give me or not, he looked at me for about 1 and a half minutes and then he slowly printed out the white denial paper and said sorry i can't issue the visa, as I was going he was looking at me, and then i came back and asked Sir! can i reapply again, he said yes and looked at me with pity.....So house what do i do, I intend to book for another appointment, cause my school resumes in August and the next available date is in August, so house please advise me on what to do in my next interview, to enable me get my visa. Thanks all and please advise as soon as you can. God bless you
