kelechiodo: Let us be realistic here. Nobody is being sentimental. Adams Oshimole is totally wrong in sacking them. What morality or humanity is there when you sack someone who is working for you just because he has health challenges. Coomon, the worst he would have done is to retire them with benefits and not sacking them and asking them to "go and die" with their health challenges. Its wrong before God and man and shows insensitivity. For those that kept falsifying their ages, brothers if a worker is sure of regular pension payment and gratitutity at the end of his service, he would not need to falsify his age. So government should be blamed on that also. Just early last year, french citizens were protesting government's policy of incrasing their retirement age by 5 years. This is because their pension is assured and no need to falsify age. Sacking someone from his workplace without benefits due to heath challenges is nothing short of diabolic.

I agree with you on workers sacked on health ground. Retire them and pay them their benefits.

As much as I agree with you,I would have loved Ameachi to finish his laudable project. I love his zeal in the first term,if he had continue with the same zeal. No governor would have parallel success like him in this country .

After Lagos ,Rivers State is next in terms of state wealth and that is what the governor controls.
If one acquire or steal enough money the next thing on the agenda is Power

The money Rivers State governor steal or acquire is too big for them to settle for anything less than President or Vice President.
Forgetting that without Rivers voting for them they will be nothing.

If, it becomes vacant that means we only have 5 members who has not deflected or suspended by their elected party. Impeachment can be done by the 5members. Therefore,the impeachment becomes legal.
If the constitution is that they retain their position. It means they need more members to add to their 5 in order to successfully impeach the governor which may be difficult to achieve.
