It's ASUU that's on strike not the entire University community. This circular is from the OAU management and not from ASUU, OAU branch. I can tell you authoritatively that ASUU OAU branch decided unanimously to join the strike in their Congress of yesterday. The students will be in school but no lecturer will go and teach them and no academic activity will go on. Isn't that meaningless? The University management are just being unnecessarily stupid with this circular as they can't drag any lecturer to go to class and teach.

Nice one from you, incase u don't know 80% of OAU lecturers have renouni their ASUU membership. So u see the remaining 20% has little or no effect. Infact of they decide not to teach their part will be given to other lecturers who are willing to work. Presently AAUA ought to start their exam by 29th of this month but in a bid to honour ASUU call they began the exam yesterday. Who is on the receiving end?

mehn after five years of joining this platform I made FRONT-PAGE for the first time. I dedicate this achievement to all Public Administration students especially 2018 graduating set (klazz of Phoenix).

I am of the opinion that this is the best thing that has happened to Obàfemi Awolowo university in the last five years. following the directives of ASUU national body on Monday that all ASUU member s should begin an indefinite strike, Oau has decided not to join the so called meaningless strike.
This is a good step in the right direction for the members of Oau community. we lead others follow.
