Engineers are not been exposed to practicals, needless to say this last semester we finished, you guys did not do any practicals cos NASU is on strike, lol
Engineers who are graduate most times are not employed and they eventually become teachers or at best become shop owners, most industries nowadays employ OND holders in contrast to their BSC holders. Last week over 700 OND holders wrote aptitude test in Nestle cos the instructions was that only ND holders should apply.
No enough room for Engineers to do internship, many of them end up in computer centres. lol
I will say no be una fault una no get enough motivation for research and development.
Engineering students that will tell you clearly that they are not meant to repair but supervise.
Engineers in Nigeria are not better than we social science and art students.
Needless to say OP is a frustrated OAU student, won ti sha gan.

Having you in charge of Osun state and Egbon Isiaka in charge of Oyo is the best thing to ever happen to students of LAUTECH. The students have been going about their academics peacefully under your reign.

Publish Names of Nigerians Who Have Received N5,000 Stipend – Fayose Dares Buhari
Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has asked the President to be truthful and publish names of those who have reportedly benefited from its N5000 stipend.
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has challenged President Muhammadu Buhari to be a transparent leader by publishing names of Nigerians who benefited from the Federal Government’s N5,000 stipend.
The outspoken Governor described the N5,000 initiative as a mere propaganda as he dared President Buhari to publish the names of all the beneficiaries to prove him wrong.
Fayose made the statement public on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi. He said there was no evidence of the payment in his state, which is one of the states the Federal Government claimed the exercise had started.
“A blind man will say it is when it gets into my mouth that I will say you are feeding me, not promises.” Fayose said.
According to him, the states in which particiP@nts have started receiving the payment were the APC-controlled states. He warned Buhari to stop his acts of propaganda and address the hunger in the land as people have become tired of his empty promises. Fayose challenged the government to publish the number of people and the accounts of those who had received the money for all to see.
The Presidency had last week said the first batch of the millions to receive N5000 stipend have already reported receiving their first payments as at last Friday, December 30, 2016.

In a recent chat with GEM Magazine, Juliana Olayode, popularly known as Toyo Baby wants young ladies to know these five things that will help them live a more balanced life.

1. I want them to know they are beautiful. Stop beating yourself over the things you don’t have and start loving yourself for everything you have. 2. I hear a lot of Christian ladies say they want to be like the proverbs31 woman or like Esther, Deborah and the likes. You have the Holy Spirit they didn’t have, you can pray in tongues while they couldn’t. You are under the dispensation of grace.
These should make you know that you can be better; you have books and the internet! Yes, they were good women but dare to be like Jesus.
3. You are a POWERFUL and an IMPORTANT CREATURE! God thought He was done after the creation of man until he figured that Adam needs someone and that animals, trees and plants can’t be there for him so he made the woman. Don’t just use the power in your relationship with your husband or fiancée alone but maximizing it. Use it to change the world by embracing people impacting lives and empowering them, praying for them.
4. For those who are still hurting from abuse, please rise above it and move on. God is always ready to bring a message out of a mess if you allow him. As long as you love God, you’ll be fine.
If you are in an abusive relationship and don’t know how to break away, receive the strength to and please speak up, talk to somebody, your voice can save you.
5. Please desire and have a relationship with God. God is really all that we need. With him, you can be 100% sure you’ll be fine-maritally, emotionally, financially, academically, in every sphere of your life.

It seems to now be a yearly thing for the Ekiti State Governor to make prophecies of the next year. He recently made predictions of events to come in the year 2017 which have ruffled some feathers while many have termed him a joker. But little do we know that he did something similar last year and we have to be honest, those predictions really came to pass. Below are his 2016 predictions which came to pass
• Subsidy: There will be removal of fuel subsidy and petrol (PMS) will sell over and above N100/litre, leaving the masses in more serious hardship. Product will not be available and long queue in petrol stations will persist throughout the first quarter of 2016 and beyond.
• Economic Policy: Most private owned middle-class businesses will fold up because of bad economic policies of the Buhari-led government.
• Devaluation: The Naira will continue to have a free fall which will take it to as low as N320 to one Dollar.
• Economy: The Buhari-led FG will have no solution to country’s economic problems.
• Elections: Attempt to forcefully control any of the South South States of Akwa Ibom, Rivers and Bayelsa by the APC will lead to unprecedented deaths.
• Hardships: Nigerians will experience more hardships.
• Bayelsa State: Governor Seriake Dickson will win the supplementary election.
• Taraba State: Governor Darius Ishaku will be victorious at the Court.
So am sure you nodding in agreement by now, but he didn't stop at that. The action Governor has come out again to make predictions about the year to come and you can see them listed below;
1. 2017 will be a defining year for Nigeria as there will be major revolution and uprising against the Federal Government because of economic hardship.
2. More judges perceived not to be doing the bidding of the Federal Government will be arrested and humiliated.
3. Efforts will be made to prevent Hon. Justice Walter Onnoghen from being made the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).
4. Dollar will go as high as N600 to $1.
5. APC-led Federal Government will still not have solution to the economic problems of the country as the economy will move from recession to depression.
6. About four ministers will be removed.
7. There will be more pressure on President Muhammadu Buhari to sack the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele.
8. Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) will absolve Senate President Bukola Saraki.
9. Crisis in the APC will deepen as former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will officially show intention to leave the party and declare his intention to vie for the office of the president in 2019.
10. A former Head of State/President may pass on.
11. A new (major) party that will wrestle power from the APC will emerge.
11. More Shi’ite Muslims will be killed and Federal Government will not release the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.
13. Disobedience to court order and abuse of human rights will continue.
14. Hardship will be more as poverty will continue to ravage the country.
15. The academic community will further lose confidence in the APC-led Federal Government approach to the country’s economic and political challenges.
16. Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano will be re-elected.
17. $29.9 Billion Loan: Federal Government will find it difficult to source the loan.
18. EFCC: Magu may face prosecution.
19. There will be boost in agriculture.
20. Haliburton gate may still be revisited.
21. There will be no solution to power problem as power generation will drop to all time low.
22. Performance of the Federal Government 2017 Budget will be the worst in the history of Nigeria.

wow, this is interesting, buh in OAU here, u can't study public administration without mathematics cos in ur first year your knowledge of calculation will be tested, also in your second year you will have to do financial accounting, statistics and economics, nd in your third year yo will surely do public sector accounting and public management which are all calculations, so I find it so ludicrous that your school accept pass for the course.
