Education › Re: The Cruelty Of Most School Owners by Cmanforall: 11:47am On Dec 06, 2023 |
Adebayofficial: Fellow Nairalanders,
I am writing this article with great pain in my heart. The unethical and abusive culture of the management of the school where I teach is second to none.
After a successful interview and negotiation with verbal promises of benefits on the job, I started this teaching job at a school located at Makoko Area, Yaba in March, 2023 but since then, no benefit has come forth rather the school owner, Mr. ***** negotiate the payment for extra school lesson with parents and paid me a meagre #5000/month.
This is a school where class teachers are not allowed to communicate with parents because of the school owners' dubious nature.
Sometimes in August, I approached the school to complain about the unfavourable work environment, and workload because I was teaching Mathematics and Further Mathematics for seniors, IGCSE Mathematics for seniors and Geography for seniors too but a meeting was scheduled immediately and I was harassed by the school owner who said it openly that "If dem born anybody well, make dem complain" and the school principal even issued a death threat to me saying that "He can slaughter anyone who wants to destroy his works" the anyone referring to me.
The paltry sum of #7,000 was later added to my salary. This is the same school where I spend an average of #1,200 on tfare daily and the school owner was aware of this from the beginning.
Need I say that he pays salary to any staff he likes at any time in the next month. He looks for every little mistake to deduct from the salary and the height of it is that today is the 5th of December, this man paid my colleagues for November, yesterday evening but left me out. I went to the principal's office to find out why this happened and the next thing the director and the principal did was to start investigating the exact colleague who told me about the November payment. Sometimes, it's as bad as trekking all the way from Mushin to Makoko area, Yaba in the morning and after work.
The Director has sacked more than 15 teachers in the past 2 years for no reason at all, even more than 20 teaching and non-teaching staff members had left the job due to his manipulative, greedy and harassing attitude.
I have a full report, ready to be submitted to all relevant authorities concerning the maltreatment of labour going on here.
Please advice me on what to do and kindly help me to get this to every concerned authorities. These are one of the areas you need NLC and their president to act on, rather than being political |

Family › Re: My Girlfriend's Mother Just Aborted Our Four Months Old Pregnancy (pictures) by Cmanforall: 4:48pm On Dec 02, 2023 |
Brokendad: I got into a relationship with a 22 year old girl who's turning 23 by January.
Along the line, she got pregnant. We kept the pregnancy away from her people until after four months.
I have already made a visit to her family to register my interest in marrying the girl and have asked for date for introduction and traditional marriage.
But when she told the mother that she's pregnant, the first question the mother asked her is if she had told me.
When she said yes, the mother was shouting at her that why did she tell me. The mother didn't know that I was with the daughter when she made that call.
Few days after, the mother asked her to return home. A day before the girl left, I have already registered her for antenatal. But I remember when I was paying for the antenatal, the girl asked me not to waste my money.
I didn't know that she has already agreed with the mother to kill and remove a four months old pregnancy.
Immediately the mother learnt that she was pregnant, she asked her to cut all communications with me or she will lay a curse on her.
So, every other communication we were having, the mum didn't know about it.
She left Lagos on Wednesday and today, the mother called me that the baby in her daughter's womb is dead due to stress that the girl was going through while in Lagos. That no one was attending to her, bla bla bla. Not knowing that I have been taking the girl to the hospital all along. She said that they are waiting for a doctor to evacuate the baby.
I feel so terrible right now. This girl is the first daughter and the first to have anything to do with marriage and child bearing. The mother has the gut to kill the first unborn child that was coming into their family.
The mother didn't know that I have all the evidence with me. That I have the test results and the scan results. The baby was doing very well as at the scan we did a day before she left.
I told her that I am willing to take responsibility for her and the child. I am capable. I am willing to marry her. Why then does the mother still go ahead to terminate a 4 months old pregnancy?
The mother attends mountain of fire church. So, I don't know if it's the shame of what people will say about a supposedly murderous Christian home.
I told her that she can remain in Lagos until she delivers if she doesn't want anyone to know that she took in but no, the mother wants to soil her hands in blood.
From my chat with the girl, she's preparing to undergo the abortion. So, it's like the mum called me ahead to inform me that they are about to take the child off her womb. Somebody that a baby died in her womb wouldn't be strong enough to be replying me WhatsApp messages.
I am tempted to take a legal action You don't have to conclude very fast. An unborn baby can still die in the womb, and the dead foetus will be evacuated Can you tell your age? Do you have a good job? Can you take care of a family? |

robosky02: Decision On Peseiro Will Be Made After AFCON 2023 –Sports Minister, Enoh
Ads by FatChilli The fate of Jose Peseiro as Super Eagles head coach will be decided after the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations that will be held in Cote D’Ivoire from January 13 to February 11 2024, Nigeria’s Minister of Sports Development Senator John Enoh has divulged, Completesports.com reports.

Addressing the media on Tuesday, November 28 in his office as part of activities to mark his 100 days in office, Senator Enoh said any action regarding Peseiro’s job with Super Eagles can only come up after the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
“I am happy to inform you that just about yesterday or two days ago, I had a meeting with the President, General Secretary and the Technical Department of the NFF regarding the Super Eagles’ underperformance in recent games,” Enoh said.

Ads by FatChilli “What we came out of – that is that you know I’ve had to request that the coach be summoned, and I think at some point next week there’s going to be an engagement with the coach along with NFF chieftains
“All of that is trying to respond to the outcome of these matches, especially the World Cup qualifying games.”
Reacting to calls from some football stakeholders that Peseiro should be sacked over poor results, Enoh said that despite the passion of Nigerians for football, the decision to sack a coach is not taken due to emotions.
He said, “As a Minister, I am deeply concerned with the fortunes of the national team in recent times, but AFCON is around the corner and the contract of Peseiro is tied to the fortunes of the Super Eagles at the football fiesta.

“As a Minister, I am concerned that the Nigerian national team is not delivering, not meeting up with our expectations. AFCON is so close that we need to be careful in what decisions we make. But the next qualification rounds for the World Cup – the next match is in June – so it gives us something you know, to take decisions going forward.
“AFCON is going to start about January 14. Are we, for example, going to request to fire the Nigerian Coach? I mean, the answer is as good as mine.
“I have found out that in this sector; there are passions and emotions. Where you are seated and where I am providing leadership, you don’t respond. You know you are not driven by passions and emotions. No, you take your time,” Eno stated.
https://www.completesports.com/decision-on-peseiro-will-be-made-after-afcon-2023-sports-minister-enoh/ Why are you waiting for a total collapse before reinforcing a collapsing structure? The coach doesn't have good records that will encourage Nigerians to hope on that magic. If he doesn't get results, he should be dismissed. If you can't sack him, due to payoffs, then suspend him or put him on a sideline, while you use another competent coach to complete the AFCON run |
Education › Re: Aggrieved Customer Calls Out Polaris Bank Over UK School Tuition Refund Impasse by Cmanforall: 11:21pm On Nov 29, 2023 |
Ucheamani: International anti-money laundry law requires that funds must go back to where it came from. Neither the school nor the bank is at fault here. What is your brand? This is the simple explanation. Surprised people are advising she should call out the bank on all social media. I read all she wrote, amd her transactions are complex. She should contact whoever made the payment for her to reactivate his bank account so she could receive her refund. She should have also added reason this third party's account is no longer functioning jojothaiv: So what's the point of refunding then?
Maybe the international AML will shed more light on that too. It is the Uni that is refunding her money, and not the bank. Now think of it what if it is fraudulent request? I mean someone uses her name to ask the Uni to refund to a different account number? That is why they always refund to same account number that paid them, so it shows received from account A to our Uni is being paid back to the same account A (which is Refund) |

chris4gold: All these yahoo yahoo bois don spoil market for this one🧐 I think that's a major issue here. Polaris may be trying to avoid any fraudulent transactions. Moreover, her transaction is complex (Transfer naira from Polaris to GTBank , then from GTbank to another person's naira account . This 3rd person lives in UK, so he/she paid for you in Pounds. The Uni only refunds to the account that made payment. This 3rd person's UK account is no longer functioning . Polaris (if they have all these information OP shared) may be wondering why not this 3rd person provide his or her new account details with ID to prove he or she is the same person and owner of both the old and new account. So they (Uni) changed their policy just because of OP's plea (Polaris may think?) Did she notify Polaris and provide all the evidence to show the legitimacy of the transactions? |

PSG gets a draw from Newcastle with a late penalty
Newcastle led PSG with a goal until the 98th minutes, when a controversial penalty was awarded to PSG. Mbappe managed to hit the penalty pass Pope (who has been outstanding).
Dortmund leads in Group F, and Newcastle will have to depend on Dortmund to win PSG in order to qualify for the next round should they (Newcastle) win AC Milan

Maybe you guys should get a solid player for his position, then get him starting from the bench.
That will sort him out in no time. Starting him from the bench is another option. But playing him week-in week-out is not worth it. If this 18 year old wasn't given a chance today, you may not know he can do well in the senior team. If it's this Rashford's style of play you think ManU will miss if he's not played, then I tell you there are many young players who are better and more energetic, even from the academy. |
