Angelfrost: First, it's not my state but a state in the federal republic of Nigeria.
Get that into your thick skull, you bigoted nitwit.
Secondly, the only reason Hope is still acting like it doesn't matter is because the citizens of the state are docile and cowardly... There are states where the governor would have met with them and resolved all issues within a few days.
Thirdly, everything affects the governor... It also affects his grip on the leadership of the state. You just wrote you're not from Imo. There is no need to insult me here. I'm not a young man and let the faceless Nairaland not take away mutual respect we should give to one another. Normally, you should apologise. To the topic, the citizens should even protest at Ajero's house and at the electricity company office. It is not right to beat anyone be it NLC president or ordinary civilian. But contact people in Imo state, civil servants in particular, then you'd hear what they'd tell you about Ajero. The protest he organised had another faction of civil servants who were against it. They keep complaining how he's been declaring strike every now and then in Imo State. Has he solved or demonstrated in their neighbouring state of Abia, where workers are owed for more than 1 year? Watch how civil servants will ignore his call for strike tomorrow |

Angelfrost: Your source is now more reliable than that of NLC and TUC?!! Lol.
If Hope was right on this, would he just keep quiet and allow his people suffer needlessly without showing the whole world the truth? !!
Imo state has been in blackout for over 2 weeks now.
Let's learn to engage common sense even if it hurts our political views. SMH. You are not even informed, despite being from Imo State. You now rely on someone outside your state to update you. Anyways, I watched a press conference he did, shared by someone on social media, where he explained this. Maybe due to your myopic views and inherent hatred, you decided to ignore it. There's so much corruption in the civil service, from federal to state. If you don't know |

Imo state has been in blackout for over 2 weeks now.
Let's learn to engage common sense even if it hurts our political views. SMH. The issue of no electricity in your state is the wickedness of the NLC president on you Imo people. He thought it would favour his political party to win the governorship election. If you don't protest against the electricity company, you and other common Imo residents will suffer it. Ajero and the governor will have steady power supply from their generators. Let him extend the electricity cutoff till next year, it will hurt the governor. Una go get sense by force |

Splashme: Oga, what partisan politics did he take part in?
The man organised a protest for non-payment of salaries, pensions and gratuities for many year. Was that a political event?
Hope is lying that he's not owing salaries, pensions and gratuities ... lies! I got from a reliable source, Imo State governor is not owing any legitimate worker salary. All those saying he's owing them are those employed through the back door and workers who should have retired but keep falsifying their age. How can you pay salary to someone who got his FSLC at the age of 2? Is that not obvious he should have retired and make space of younger ones to be employed? And some youths are supporting this illegality |

Hoelujohn: Other parties without senatorial or house of assembly members are the serious ones abi? You need to get your brain checked. A party that you "won" with less than 3 million votes at presidential election despite all the resources and arsenals at your disposal. A party that your former chairman said has just 4 members tweeting in a room yet won Jagaban in his base. You can see why I said you should get your brain checked People were voting Peter Obi and not Labour Party. That is what some of you don't understand. LP got people in the NA, but that is because presidential election and NA held the same day. In the next elections, if Obi doesn't contest, and the NA members remain in LP, they will all lose (unless they deliver true dividends ofdemocracy to their constituencies to gain individuallove from their people). Note this comment! |

Peter obi will never be president in this kwantry. LP in Imo state shot themselves. How will they allow an APC member who just decamped to join them be their flagbearer? He is a friend of Alex Otti who was incharge of the primaries. LP sold their ticket and shouldn't complain if they lose. Prominent LP members who campaigned alongside Peter Obi were not seen around Achonu during his campaigns |

GuruboiNaija: The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has denied withdrawing passwords from some of its local government supervisors in Imo State.
INEC explained that it has released the passwords for uploading results to the Presiding Officers.
The Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman, Rotimi Oyekanmi, said the claim by unknown concerned workers that the commission withdrew the password from APO1s was false.
In a statement issued on Friday, Oyekanmi said: “The attention of the Independent National Electoral Commission has been drawn to a story attributed to unknown ‘concerned workers’ of the commission that passwords for result upload have been withdrawn from LGA Supervisors for use by APO1s in Imo State. This is untrue.
“For the avoidance of doubt, Presiding Officers (POs), and not APO1s, are responsible for result upload to the IReV.
“All the passwords have been securely released for use by designated officials in line with the commission’s procedure.
“The public should expect more of such insinuations before, during, and after the elections and continue to discountenance them.”

engineerboat: Today Saturday 11 November marks the D-Day when all the candidates contesting in the election will test their popularity.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), 17 candidates on the platforms of different political parties are seeking to govern Imo, however, only four are viewed as the major contenders for the seat.
Hope Uzodinma, the incumbent governor and flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is seeking a second term, making him the candidate to beat.
Others are Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Athan Achonu of the Labour Party (LP), and Lincoln Ogunewe of the Action Alliance (AA).
Uzodinma hails from Imo West (Orlu zone) senatorial district which has 12 LGAs while Anyanwu and Ogunewe are from Ikeduru and Ezinihitte-Mbaise LGAs, respectively — both in Imo East (Owerri zone) senatorial district which has nine LGAs. Achonu, the candidate of LP, is from Ehime-Mbano LGA in Imo North (Okigwe zone) with six LGAs. Whatever you people do, note the 3 leading contesters are friends... so please stay safe and don't kill yourself over them. If environment is not looking secured, remain in your house
