Hello house,can anyone suggest the acceptable way to notarize degree certificate here in Nigeria for MSc admission in Finland. I applied to LUT last yr with complete documents(IELTS-7.5,Transcript sent by my University,CV...and my degree certificate stamped and signed "Certified True Copy" by a notary in the Ministry of Justice of my State).Unfortunately,my application was disqualified by UAF at the eleventh hour,stating that the "Certified True Copy" stamp was unacceptable.Kindly advise cos I don't wish to waste my money like last yr.Thank u!

Strange indeed. I think a seal would have been better in addition to the stamp.

It is quite painful for the sudden demise of the young man. But I wish to point out somethings to my fellow Nigerians.
I must say the level of Research in our country is low. Case of death from Noncommunicable diseases are under-reported and most times due to the belief that 'someone' is responsible. Without disputing the fact that there are some few evil men, we shouldn't be clouded by this general belief.

If I may ask you about this your friend, what was his last blood pressure? When last did he check it? Is he overweight? What's his blood glucose level? Was he diabetic?

There're lots of questions that could be asked. And this brings our mind on the need for occasional medical checkups.

It is saddening that Noncommunicable diseases and communicable diseases are affecting our developing nations. I wish individuals, organizations and government could invest into Researches to help curtail this sudden deaths, when the causes are found.

Thinking of Bakassi for this kind of case is not really necessary.

Lol. Whether na migri o, whether na embassy for abuja... they're sha messing with my head. Insurance company don send dem proof since August 12 via email and thru courier, dey acknowledged receipt of both. Since then, nothing. All my emails and calls, nothing. The wait is just disgusting. Na everyday I dey wait for dem to mail me or do something. Nothing. I suppose don dey Helsinki now dey prepare for orientation week/welcome fair which begins tomorrow. I still dey lagos dey battle with nepa and mosquitoes lol.

Is there anyone here still waiting for migri/embassy in abuja to contact them? Please let me know I'm not the only one in this. Now wey I don already plan how to knack my Asian student tutor as I dey enter Helsinki, embassy wan fall my hand.

Segun Arinze mistakenly paid money into someone's account and the guy has so far refused to return the money. Below is what Segun wrote;

"I mistakenly paid 50k into the account of one Okoli Chukwunon account number 0024438520 Access bank. When I realised my mistake I called my bank GT connect to report and I was asked to contact the bank of the beneficiary (Access bank) I went there and spoke with a lady staff Omolola (ogunlana branch) who was kind enough to contact the Nonso guy. He claimed he work with keystone bank mbaise branch. I identified myself and he asked that Access should send him a mail. Which they did.

Since then he's been giving me the run around. Yesterday he shouted at me and hung on me. His name Okoli Chukwunonso 08037376844. This not so much about the money but the idea of being honest. What is not yours please kindly return. I have heard of various incidences of this kind. People should learn to be honest and banks should find a way of penalizing such unscrupulous acts. Going public and tarnishing this guy's image and still expect him to return it is EXACTLY where I'm CONFUSED.

If he initially agreed to return it and he's now being reluctant to do so... You should hv threatened him of making it public thru social media and all that.
Next step will be to write the story and being silent on his surname and phone number for instance. This will prompt him to return the money b4 his full details are exposed.

With this type of public disgrace to his personality, if I may ask, how do you think he'll clear this image after returning the money?
If we thinking likewise, that money may not come back with this move.........

I've bn reasoning about this sad news and I feel this act was done by an 'angry' Nigerian working @the embassy.
The decision for RP is taken in Finland. How will it then be revoked in Nigeria.
And also why use phone call.

I believe the step to take should start with visiting the Embassy. Get it clear from them. Provide receipt of PAYMENT for your insurance.
Do not use mail for now. Face to face will be better. I know it'll inconvenience you and scatter your plans.

(I hope and suspect someone might just wanna play pranks on you).

Been calling and mailing the embassy, nothing has happened. And my ticket na non-flexible one. I'm supposed to travel this farrrkiiinggg weekend. This is so irritating... not to mention the attitude of that woman who answers the calls. She's completely rude and mannerless as if she's not paid to do her job. They just called me back, asking how many years visa I have. When I said it's a year Residence permit. The nice lady said they don't issue one way ticket to people with one year visa. (I booked one way).

Please bosses, no be one way ticket una dey book?

They giving me about an hour. Like there are very limited seats now on that day and at the present price.

Though she was concerned about immigration people stopping me and all that.

simply ask the name of the airline, the only way u can have a direct flight is if its the countries carrier or base operation in Finland and finnair don't do Nigeria, most be at least one stop.
i guess that price is for a round trip, i think u need a one way.
