robosky02: Victor Moses wins NFF Player of the Year
The AITEO/Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) awards held in Lagos on Monday with Victor Moses emerging the 2018 Player of Year.
Moses edged out Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi and Lobi Stars’ Anthony Okpotu.
DAILY POST reports that in attendance were FIFA President, Gianni Infantino and his CAF counterpart Ahmad Ahmad, Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode and Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa and Francis Peters, the Deputy Managing Director, Aiteo Group.
Others were ex-internationals, Samson Siasia, Christian Chukwu, Wilson Oruma, Femi Opabunmi, Mutiu Adepoju, Segun Odegbami, Daniel Amokachi, Mutiu Adepoju, Uche Okechukwu, Garba Lawal, Austin Okocha, Austine Eguaveon, among others.
Moses enjoyed a remarkable transformation during the 2016-17 season, winning over the doubters and earning his place at Chelsea despite appearing destined for the exit door.
He was introduced into the starting lineup in late 2016 in an unfamiliar wing-back role after Antonio Conte saw in the former Crystal Palace attacker a key solution to a problem position.
Throughout early 2017, Moses was a key figure for the Pensioners as they won the Premier League title, with the wideman only losing twice – against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United – before the FA Cup final defeat by Arsenal. After being dismissed in that match, Moses bounced back with the equaliser in a 1-1 draw against Arsenal in the Community Shield final at Wembley, before the Gunners went on to clinch the trophy on penalties.
At international level, Moses, who also made the 11-man shortlist for Caf’s African Footballer of the Year award, played an influential role in Nigeria’s successful qualification for the 2018 World Cup.

But if the Nigerian league should be promoted, then all these awards should be given to those that play in the country. Similarly, CAF awards should focus on those playing in Africa. If you play abroad, compete with those playing in same league. And let FIFA awards be open to all globally.
PS: Can Messi be given best Footballer award in Argentina or South America? Or will the Portuguese Football association give Ronaldo similar award?

skimeh: 9-CUBIC HOUSES Rotterdam, Netherlands The Cubic houses, the most amazing but strangest buildings in the world. These are a set of innovative houses built in Rotterdam and Helmond in The Netherlands. The design of this building represents a village within a city. It based on the concept of “living as an urban roof”: high density housing with sufficient space on the ground level. It was designed by Dutch architect Piet Blom. They are cubes, situated in different angles over hexagon formed pylons, so they resemble trees, and altogether – make a forest. There are 38 small cubes, and they all are attached one to another.
Amazing... I've been there! Lots of architectural designs in the Netherlands.
aminulive: Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah has filed a lawsuit against the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) over alleged 'irregularities' in the procedures of party's gubernatorial primaries for the upcoming Anambra state governorship elections.
In a video obtained by PoliticsNGR, Ubah speaks about the primaries and reveals that he has sued the party citing the consequences of this development. Watch the footage below;
I don't have any issue if Ifeanyi Ubah wants to sue PDP. But my take is when will PDP come together and accept a reputable candidate to ensure a successful and smooth governance. With the question marks surrounding Ifeanyi Ubah, it will be beneficial, in an ideal State, you propel a neutral candidate for the party to have a chance of winning the gubernatorial seat. The man in question with the ticket was a former UN diplomat(as I read), therefore he has a more reputable position at the moment than Ubah. I presume that's more reason PDP had to propel him rather than focusing on Ubah.
MrPresident1: -157 degrees centigrade? Now that is completely impossible. No human born of a woman can survive-157 degrees centigrade for even 5 seconds.
Modified Who is the moderator that put this unscientific nonsense on the Frontpage??
There is no human being that can survive -157 degrees centigrade, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE, even for 5 seconds.
I thought I'd see the unit... No 'centigrade' was stated
OneHead: Idibia Tuface Signs Lady G into New Musik Record Label, See Details Of Event
August 16, 2017 was special to Imo State based artistes as one of their own, Cynthia Anyiam popularly known with stage name Lady G signed a memorandum of understanding with Innocent Idibia (Tuface) of Now Musik Entertainment Services Ltd to take full responsibility of collaborating, producing, promoting and supporting the music endeavors of Cynthia Anyiam (Lady G) using his record label.
This in keeping with the Imo State government promise to support state based artistes and entertainers who have distinguished themselves by empowering them to realize their full potential. Is on this note, the Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha through his Chief of Staff, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu handed over the sum of N20 million naira to Now Musik Entertainment Services Ltd to ensure full collaboration and development of Lady G.
Excited on the development, Cynthia Lady-G Anyiam took to her Facebook saying

Finally am gonna work under My Boss. I worship ur Holy Name oh!! Lord, u re so Great."
I'm not understanding... Imo State government? Who is signing on behalf of the state government? And this is '...upon the receipt of....' So the State government will have to pay 2face 20 million naira to promote Lady G or whatever, while IMSUTH staff are being paid 70% of their salaries which is not even forthcoming.
stagger: Only fools still pick strangers on the highway in this era of kidnapping and terrorism.
I disagree with you. Sorry. I give people lift, especially when you know the public transport links are somehow poor. For instance, traveling from my village to our capital city... If you've got enough space, give them lift (the rural dwellers). There's nothing like terrorism nor kidnapping. They'll wish you well. Other important group to help are the Corp members ('Corpers '). With the meagre sum paid to them by state governments (4k or so), they use lifts to cut down their expenses on transportation. And surely they'll appreciate it. Thanks.

Leonbonapart: Now he can win balon'dor... barca couldn't say no. The money was too tempting. Wire wire people go do jazz + kill girls join and use their destiny yet they can never lay hands on such amount
Neymar just got 300m euro from Qatar as image right for upcoming world Cup in Qatar. He will use 222m euro to pay Barcelona, and become a free agent. PSG pays nothing to Barcelona. That's the game...
I am aspiring to contest state house of assembly. But bet me, local government chairmanship would have been better, but that position is used by the state governors to settle his supporters. The people's vote rarely counts.
We are the youths, we should transform our nation for the future generations.
Cladez: You should have aspired first for your state's local government chairman so that people can assertain your ability to work for the people and not just jump from nowhere to become the president its not done anywhere.
How are we sure you won't be different.its best you make a name for yourself first.
French President, Macron, did it.

Iloveafrica: Good morning sir/ma please, I fractured my wrist and a cast was placed on it since 6 weeks ago. my concern now is that, I heard a lot of people saying "An arm cast becomes itchy whenever it's healing" but in my own case, for the past 6 weeks that the arm cast has been there, I've never felt any itches on the wrist.
It would have been a negative influence for other Nigerian Footballers in KuPS particularly and Finland in general. But with the likes of the humble Gabriel Reuben, who also plays for KUPS, it neutralizes that effect. This is Europe and not Street football.
Drinokrane: Five members of a family have died after having a meal in Umuokpara Umanu, Obollo community in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.
Mr. Vitalis Nwosu, his wife, Obianuju, and their three children, Chinonso, Chinasa and Odimnobi had eaten jollof rice for dinner served by Mrs Obianuju Nwosu. Soon after eating, they started having stomach pain, stooling and vomiting, Drinosblog whilesblowers reports. The children began to experience the symptoms first and they were taken to a hospital but did not make it.
A villager recounted the incident: “The children were the initial complainants and their parents quickly moved them to a nearby private hospital (names withheld). Every effort made to save them failed as they died one after the other.”
Soon after the children died, the parents came down with the same symptoms and were taken to a hospital where they died. Their remains of the deceased have been deposited at Adam Mortuary, Ugiri. Two other members of the family, who joined in eating the meal survived.
Reacting to the incident, the deceased’s first son, Mr. Chukwuemeka Nwosu, told newsmen that he was not at home when the incident occurred.
Chukwuemeka said that he suspected foul play. He alleged that his parents and siblings must have been poisoned by a relation over a protracted family matter and urged the security agencies to thoroughly investigate the incident.
An autopsy should be done. Those that survived should give details of what they ate eg meat, fish, egg etc., especially if they're not part of the immediate family, were they denied such protein sources? What other things did the deceased consume that the survivors didn't, eg drinks after or before the meal, etc. Any contact with sick neighbours or friends that day or recently? The survivors should be quarantined for now, in case this is an outbreak. This case should not be taken as a 'witch-hunt' issue.
PapiNigga: The gap between Adekunle and his pretty fiancee in this pre-wedding photo has got people talking, as it contradicts the inscription "Together-Forever" on their clothes.
Can EU also do Nigeria another favour? They should make it impossible or rather very difficult, for easy money laundering from Nigeria to Europe. They can further assist by returning all the loots domiciled in their region. Lest I forget, their agencies in Nigeria and Africa as a whole, make it easy to loot any country, thereby supporting corruption. However, the reverse is the case ,to do same from Europe to Nigeria or Africa, - they make it very difficult.
Angelanest: An 80-year-old farmer in Eastern Ghana who has 12 wives and over one hundred children, and is still exploring for more women - almost committed incest with his own daughter after proposing to her. According to reports, the aged man has within 40 years given birth to over 100 children with 12 women, all of who are married to him in a polygamous marriage.
On the occasion of 2017 Father’s Day, the children and the wives marched to Asilenu’s residence on Sunday.
“If I get a lady today, I will marry her and have more children. As for men, even in old age we can still father children. I’m not impotent,” Asilenu told TV3’s Portia Gabor who spent some time with the family on Father’s Day.
Unfortunately, Asilenu has lost track of his family- He’s unable to mention the name of all his children. When Portia Gabor asked him to do a roll call, he got stuck along the line in mentioning their names. And it was thus not surprising that he proposed marriage to one of her daughters who he met in town.
But for the awareness of his daughter, Asilenu would have committed incest by having amorous relationship with her own daughter, unknowingly though.
One of his sons narrated how his father proposed to one of his sisters and the interesting excuse Mr Asilenu gave when it emerged that he is the father of the lady he had expressed love to. “He [Asilenu] met the lady and said he loved her…..and later on, the lady said she was his daughter,” she told Portia Gabor, adding “he [Asilenu] said his eyes were worrying him, that was why he didn’t notice it was her own daughter and we laughed over it”.
The son also suspects they are more than 100 children: “In fact we’re plenty, we’re almost 100 and something” he told Portia.
Just like their father, some of the children do not know their numerical placement in the family. Portia Gabor asked one of his daughters, Mary Asilenun, where she place in the family numerically and she simply laughed and responded, “…I can’t remember”.
Asilenu, his wives and children reportedly get along with each other and have been living happily as one united family....
