The fiscal policy seems to be working now but there is need to see to increment of importation of industrial machines, with that we can be sure that the balance of trade will even be higher for Nigeria when we started production with those machines, then our importations (especially of the finished goods) will reduced.

This will help build confidence in our educational system than those taking out our money across the border.

I believe such gestures will be advanced to other countries too to streamline demand for exchange rate and ridiculing our own educational system.

Nigeria for you.
Just imagine how they died the case and even dismissed it in court... while those other elite murderous kids got away with it easily
If this happened in the west it won't have ended this way.. they would have been huge sum of compensation from the school, with it closed down or properly regulated..while those kids involved place in juvenile cell for some years.. then probably tried as an adult again when they mature.

God why did you make be african, especially nigeria.

A place where who loose guard nai lose.
Why are you guys so obsessed with West and make it sounds like heaven? Is it not the same west that Biden have his son a presidential pardon for tax evasion and other crimes??

Kukutente23:
Ok... but govt functionaries can travel on trips abroad to watch football matches and play around claiming to be looking for investors. Those are producing massive results
So you are saying our icons of knowledge should be swimming in the same dirty pool with those we call pigs?? Then what is the proof that they are knowledgeable icons of our society?

PoliticsRe: FG Cancels Foreign Trainings For Nigerian Scholars by Cmeo(m): 7:48pm On Nov 29, 2024
Kukutente23:
How will the e-libraries and repositories be filled then?
All these foreign universities have repositories for even foreign lecturers and exchange students.
Are we looking to progress our retrogress
Let those who have been sponsored for foreign training before filled the e-libraries and repositories first after it has been created. Thereafter, we can be thinking of sending them on foreign training again. It's a failure to be sending them on foreign training while there is no infrastructure to develop the knowledge on ground. If their foreign trainings they acquired knowledge could not produce infrastructure then they should stop going foreign training as it is not producing any result.
PoliticsRe: FG Cancels Foreign Trainings For Nigerian Scholars by Cmeo(m): 6:22pm On Nov 29, 2024
Kukutente23:
Do you know what is required to have a Q1 journal? Do you think it only has to do with intellect and willingness of scholars? How many universities in Nigeria have e-library and repository that's functional? Most of them run their repository on free hosting sites not secure
Then stopping foreign trainings for scholars to make more fund available for e-library and repository that's functional is in right direction.

not all runaway. Also, what significant impact have you seen from your politicians stealing and spending public funds?
They are two side of a coin. But it is more disappointing when our icons of knowledge are competing with our disdain
PoliticsRe: FG Cancels Foreign Trainings For Nigerian Scholars by Cmeo(m): 3:26pm On Nov 29, 2024
Kukutente23:
I'm surprised Nigerian youths are not out there calling out this terrible minister.
How can a developing country whose education sector is suffering from so many manpower and technical challenges ban foreign training for its scholars?
Politicians can go junketing across the globe, wasting public funds on meaningless meetings and conferences but scholars shouldn't go for foreign trainings? Nigeria as a country does not have ANY journal ranked Q1 in engineering and physical sciences but we're banning scholars from accessing foreign trainings.
So Nigerian govt expects fulbright, commonwealth, USAID. Smithson and other such foreign institutions to sponsor our scholars but we are no longer going to sponsor them because according to this minister, it's a waste of funds.
The foremost agric tech company implementing GMO in nigeria us Kenyan and is staffed with Nigerian scholars they trained abroad!
How will the country develop when critical human resources are not developed? It seems this minister is worse than the former one.
The ones they have sent in the past, what has the nation and its citizens benefited from it?? If your write up your even said that Nigeria didn't have any journal ranked No. 1 in engineering and co. My question is those that were sent abroad in the past why didn't they achieve this feat for Nigeria??
PoliticsRe: FG Cancels Foreign Trainings For Nigerian Scholars by Cmeo(m): 3:19pm On Nov 29, 2024
Good! Better! Best!!! After all we have not seen the significant impact of those that have gone in the past except that they run away and turn around to abuse the system.

PoliticsRe: Can Goodluck Jonathan Make A Historical Comeback Like Donald Trump by Cmeo(m): 11:37am On Nov 24, 2024
RZArecta:
You people should stop flying delusional kites. Jonathan by law can't contest for presidency again, this was signed during Buhari's first term with wild applause by the so called sophisticated ones who think an economic dullàrd is a better option cool
Although I don't support GEJ coming back so as not mess his remaining reputation considering the expectations of Nigerians but I don't think the law signed during Buhari first time will affect him except the law state specifically mentioned past time (in retrospect) that the law would be taking effect and law are rarely made in retrospect.

PoliticsRe: Reforms In Nigeria Not Working, IMF Report Hints by Cmeo(m): 4:41pm On Nov 17, 2024
CodeTemplarr:
IMF is not involve in local politics.
Yes, IMF does not involve in local politics but what they are saying is that resistance by the politicians, other internal powers that be and citizens are making reforms not to work. IMF was not saying that in details so as not to be seen as point fingers to internal issues of Nigeria but that's what they meant.
PoliticsRe: 'Friend Of Nigeria' - Tinubu Confers GCON Honour On Indian PM Modi (Video) by Cmeo(m): 4:32pm On Nov 17, 2024
phemray:
I think the national honour is meant for recognition of efforts and contributions to service and humanities. I expected these honours not to be reserved for only big men or senior officials. Am hopefull that this government will extend it to the grassroots like classroom teachers/ lectures, articians, sports, farmers, professional bodies members, those that returns heavy cash back to the owners, transports etc. To encourage Nigerians to be honest and corrupt free.
I am suspecting the Indian PM visit was to come and pacify the president on some current reform that is affecting the Indians business interest in Nigeria. The president quickly dash him an honour calling him "a friend of Nigeria" before the meeting so as not to demand things that will ground Nigeria's current reform and revenue interest drive.

Simple observation shows that most company's doing well in Nigeria are Indians owed and the current reform and revenue drive maybe on their neck for some deals done in the past.
PoliticsRe: 'Friend Of Nigeria' - Tinubu Confers GCON Honour On Indian PM Modi (Video) by Cmeo(m): 4:20pm On Nov 17, 2024
I suspect the Indian PM state visit is to come pacify the president on some Indians interest that the current reform is hitting hard.

The president should not gree o. Indians business interest must not override Nigerians business interest.
