babat89: Bros, U sound crappy. Since a doctor aint different u needn't be one naw. Abi?Do you even know the meaning of the word crappy?, because if you do you wouldn't have used it...#bemindfulofthewordsyouuse# |
femyodsky: If I may ask, why did you decide to study medicine having practised as a nurse for that number of years.I could give you a million and one reasons centered around money, self, etc but there's no need to... Its personal ![]() |
phantom: my brother i agree 100% with you but you ve missed my point. i am not taking anything away from the other health workers but my point is (in reply to the person who said doctors depend fully on labs and radiology) that CLINICALLY, we can diagnose our patients most times without these other investigations.Point noted Sir.. |

joker5180: 3) Skipping of salary GL 12 ( CONMESS 2) by doctorsFor the records I support increasing the salaries.... |
Evergreen123: lie that u don't go there to see Nigerian trained docs or lie that we refer based on lack of facilities?Lie that you have more expertise Abeg... No dey lie jare ![]() |
phantom: for the record after the doctor takes a history from his patient(asks questions about the patients complaints, duration, family history, drug history e.t.c) and examines the patient, the doctor pretty much has an idea what is wrong with the patient 85% of the time. labtests and radiological investigations are CONFIRMATORY. a good doctor hardly depends on these ancillary investigations. why would i need a lab investigation or an ultrasound scan to diagnose and treat acute appendicitis? i dont need lab work to treat malaria. that is why a doctor by virtue of his training is the key variable in the equation.Hey bro, your previous posts have been making sense but I have to fault you here, the doctor needs the medical team because he cannot do it on his own, yes you can make a tentative diagnosis for some disease conditions but we know major conditions need tests and xrays so if your sister were to be ill and in need of a blood transfusion, you would abandon what you had to do and run tests on her then donor and bleed the donor also right?, or when your friend has a closed fracture you would just treat him because you dont need the help of the radiographer to ascertain the nature of the fracture because you know it all right? would like to write a long note but let me state it here the patient needs the nurse as much as he needs the doctor as well as the lab tech. The big difference between the Nigerian medical teams and those abroad is the doctors have an attitude problem...before you begin insulting me I'm a now a medical student and I'm speaking from first hand experience as a nurse for 5 years... |
Evergreen123: when they go abroad they still meet Nigerian docs.Hey..... Bros you can lie eh.... Which same or or even more expertise, be truthful Abeg. |

LAGOS — Sunday, September 9, 2012, will remain indelible in the minds of some families in LagosState, who lost their loved ones to the brazen attack of a gang of heavily armed robbers, who laid siege to strategic points in the state, killing at least three policemen and several other citizens, while scores sustained injuries. Godogodo and his gang: From left: Leke, Yinusa, Adelawo and Godogodo at the Police Command Headqauters, Ikeja, Lagos, Wednesday. But the arrest of all the members of the gang that operated that day, including the notorious South-West robbery czar, Abiodun Ogunjobi, aka, Godogodo, would bring relief to relatives and friends of those killed or injured during the encounter. Meanwhile, Godogodo, who was arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, led by SP Abba Kyari, on August 1, 2013, has revealed how he coordinated the bloody operation. Bureaux de change robbery He gave chilling details of how he led members of the gang to cart away millions of dollars from bureau de change operators in Agege and Gbagada areas of Lagos. According to Godogodo, “ On that fateful day, I called one of my boys, Sayeed Omolopa, to meet me at AlfaBeach in Ajah, and some other boys led by Kasali and Ejike. “They were about seven and my boys were five. Yemi Boss, who came with Ejike, said we should go to Agege and rob some bureau de change operators. The agreement was that everyone will get what he lays his hands on. “We used two vehicles and over nine AK-47 rifles. When we got to Agege, some bureau de change operators that saw us ran to us thinking we wanted to change money and we opened fire on them and ran into their shops to pack all the money we found. “In fact, we robbed from shop to shop and we also shot sporadically to scare people. We shot at people who tried to block the road and prevent us from moving. I can’t count the number of people killed in that operation. “Wherever people tried to block the road, we opened fire on them. The boys that went with me for that job were notorious, they were difficult to control but they all feared me. We made a lot of money from the operation “While we were trying to escape, we met a team of policemen attached to the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, and we thought they were after us. On approaching them, we opened fire on the van and killed all the police in it and collected their rifles and escaped through Lagos-Abekuta road. “Money was not shared after the operation because everyone took whatever he was able to grab. When I got home I realised that I made over N500,000, but some days later, I was informed that one of my boys, Tosin, made over N6 million from the operation. “Everybody made a lot of money from the operation. I didn’t border to read the newspapers the next day to know the extent of damage but I knew many people lost their lives in that operation. You know, as robbers, we do not go for operations to kill but we kill when we don’t have option.” Why we killed policemen Godogodo also narrated how he and members of his gang killed four policemen at Ajah, in February 2013, snatching three AK-47 rifles from them. He said he killed the policemen because he wanted to recover his nine rifles seized by the SARS operatives from one of his boys, Tosin. Narrating the incident, Godogodo said: “After SARS operatives collected nine of my rifles, I was left with only two AK-47 rifles and a pump action rifle. “On that fateful day, we went to rob residents of Awoyaya area in Ajah. I was with Odun, Oluwole,Yinusa and Sayeed Omolopa. “We robbed house-to-house and on our way home, we saw a police van and a policeman behind the van was sleeping, Odun suggested that we attack them and collect their rifles and I obliged. “We drove a Sports Utility Van and approached them, opened fire on the patrol van and it veered off the road. We went after it and killed all the policemen in the van and collected their rifles. After that operation, we went to AlfaBeach to cool off.” The Abule Egba killings Godogodo also narrated how he killed a Police Inspector and a corporal at Abule Egba area of Lagos. According to him, “Ife and Oleh brought the job, they told me that we should go and rob a man who had just returned from London with huge sums of money and some drugs. “We went to his house and discovered that he was not at home and we left in annoyance and went on to rob some people from house-to-house. “On our way out, we spotted some policemen at Oko-Oba police station, they didn’t know that we were robbers. We killed them before collecting their rifles. “Some few months later, we snatched a white Range Rover Sport in Ikeja and two of the occupants escaped with their phones. “We suspected that they were going to call the police. On arriving Agidingbi Road, we spotted two RRS men on a motorbike and we thought they were coming after us. We slowed down, by the time they got very close to us, I opened the window and fired rapid shots at them, they fell into the gutter with their motorbike and I sent my boys to get their rifles before we drove off. “When we got to Coca-Cola junction, there was serious traffic and we decided to make a turn. When we got to the spot where the policemen fell, we saw some people who were trying to help them and my boys opened fire on them again. “We managed to make our way to Medical Road, close to ComputerVillage, but by then, the policemen there had received message of our operations and the moment they sighted us, they opened fire and damaged our tyres. “We managed the tyres up to Capitol Road. There was traffic and I came out of my vehicle to clear the traffic and there was this Toyota Camry following us. I didn’t know that there was an armed mobile policeman in it. When I returned I discovered that Kasali was struggling with the mobile policeman who was carrying a rifle. “I fired some shots at the policeman. He attempted to run away, I chased him and killed him on the spot before picking his rifle. We snatched another vehicle and abandoned the Range Rover Sport before we escaped http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/11/co-ordinated-lagos-black-sunday-robbery-godogodo/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter

JULIUS BERGER NIGERIA PLC should be top of the list. they can give a worker redundancy today and recall him in 4days time to resume in another site just because they want to cut the workers years of service. I know because I've worked there for 4 years glad to be leaving at last. |
lagcity: I am glad Igbos are having a bitter taste of their own medicine. These charlatans never mind their business when it comes to the SW, now they want us to get off their case. These flat-headed hypocrites called us tribalists when we put ACN in power in our states. But secretly they wished incompetent APGA could have the courage not to wh0re themselves to Jonathan and PDP. I hate hypocrites. If i write whats on my mind, the MOD would hide it just like he did yesterday. So i will just say this "BE WISE" it is only a fool that insults an entire tribe if you have nothing reasonable to add to the on going debates just disable your keyboard and scroll around with your mouse |

The police in Lagos State have arrested a 42-year-old electrician, Taiwo Bakare, who they alleged specialized in defiling and sexually harassing little girls at Igando area of the state. Crime Alert gathered that Bakare met his waterloo after he allegedly raped a 10-year-old primary school girl in his apartment at No. 45, Unity Street, Igando. *Taiwo Bakare, The suspects It was further gathered that the victim (name withheld) who resides in the same street fell prey to Bakare’s ambush on Sunday September 10, 2013, after he accosted her at her mother’s shop and lured her to his apartment where he had canal knowledge of her. The little girl was said to have felt excruciating pain after the sexual intercourse and her mother who wasn’t at home when she was raped later noticed what was happening and asked her daughter. She revealed details of how she was raped and her mother swiftly ran to the police at Igando and reported the matter. Crime Alert also learnt that policemen from Igando led by the Divisional Police Officer, Ben Osuji, a Chief Superintendent of Police, stormed Bakare’s apartment in search of him. After a long search, they found him hiding inside a pit close to a canal beside is apartment. Meanwhile, the victim who spoke with Crime Alert while the police was searching for Bakare narrated how it happened. “ I was in my mother’s shop when he came in and said he wanted to buy a can of milk, I told him the price and gave him one can and demanded for my money and he refused to pay me. All my pleas for him to pay me fell on deaf ears. Rather, he insisted that he was going to go away with the milk and I refused. After a hot argument, he said he has some money in his house and I should follow him to get my money. On getting to his house, I stood by his door and he asked me to come inside but I refused. Then, he went inside and acted as if he was getting my money but when he came out, he stretched his hand and gripped my mouth and prevented me from screaming. He threw me on his bed and pulled off my pants before he started having canal knowledge of me. I screamed but no one came in to help me. I told my mother about it when I got home.” While being whisked away by the police after his arrest, the suspect, Bakare, who was weeping profusely told Crime Alert, “ I am a 42 -year -old man and I am married with four children, my last child is a girl and she is also 10 years but she and her mother lives in Abuja. I am the owner of my building and this small girl, pointing at the victim, lives on the same street with me and I usually go to her mother’s shop to buy grocery items but I don’t know what came over me today when I saw her. I took her home, I pulled off her pants and also threw her on my bed and I attempted to have sex with her but my penis cold not enter her vagina because it was tight, so I rubbed oil on her laps and inserted my penis in between her laps. I didn’t have sex with her, “ he lamented. Some residents of the area described Bakare as a serial rapist who specialized in defiling little girls. They also said many other parents had refused reporting their case to the police when their wards were raped by him for fear of stigmatization. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/11/electrician-42-police-net-raping-10-yr-old-girl-lagos/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter
