A little advice to all.
1. If you completed your biometrics in *Collection point A and was gracious enough to get your passport request after the VO had reviewed your documents. If you don't submit your passport at the same collection point A but decide to submit at Collection point B it attracts a delicious sum of N10,240 This is for something the vfs staff call "PT"?! fees (I hope I got the name right). It is meant to be free if biometrics is in collection point A and requested passport is submitted in collection point A.
Ps *Nigeria has just 2 collection centers which are Lagos and Abuja.
2. After speaking to a VFS staff about the duration of time it takes between submitting the requested passport at VFS and collection of Stamped passport. I have come to understand its 5-10 working days.
Do have a blissful evening |

You have made very valid points here. Your mind is sharp and active. Really active likeababygirl: I think if you can protect your money well, it is better to do cash. Just declare it. Domicillairy seems okay but availability, charges and all of that are discouraging. |

Please my dear Canada friends (claim it! ) I'll be schooling in Newfoundland by September this year. I have a few questions I'll appreciate your feed back. 1. What do you do about cash. Do you open a Domcillary acct or move with in with cash? Cash options have a drawback being that you could be robbed. Domcillary I think has a drawback too being availability (not so sure) for cash 2. Being how cold NL what kinda items should I come with from Nigeria. This should include food, clothes , documents etc Please I'll also need advice on flight booking as well as accommodation Thanks. I'll appreciate your assistance |

Be Humble - Kendrick Lamar Cocosmite: I have been reading comments from the past 10 pages.
I can conclude that we Nigerian have the kindest hearts and very nice. It's no coincidence we have floated amongst the happiest country in the world for decades. Our only hindrance are pressures associated with Self actualization and that's really what brings out our big bite. If you have ever seen your own pet dog fall under a trap you will understand me.
That said please my advice is that newbies on this group take time out to read from part 1 to 11 before rendering helpful advice services. I know it's out of "kindness of heart" you really want to help but you should know that not all responses hits the other party as constructive.
Reading through some participants' response, for instance Austinpee4, you can tell they have become veterans here because they took time out to build confidence of knowledge.
I am a silent observer.

My exact thoughts too but not as blunt. GermanDreamer: if that's the case NO1 should ever ask complex questions here rather do a research by yourself, keep it to yourself and take it to the so called trained professional(s) not by tomorrow if one's application goes wrong, you would come to point accusing fingers on here! |

Thanks. Lemme make it easy for you. http://community.jobscentral.com.sg/articles/destination-overseas-australia-usa-uk-and-canadaLankyannie: Have managed to research on schools in Canada and I found out that Canada is way too expensive than America. I want to study there but the tuition fees and cost of living is too expensive, schools I researched are: Douglas college
university of manitoba
university of Alberta
dalhousie university(this one is more than expensive ni and the employment opportunities is low)
Grant macEwan university
memorial university of Newfoundland(its too popular and the offer sharp courses but very expensive)
Brandon university
university of Toronto
Georgian college(mainly art courses)
Seneca College
please from this list of universities, I want to know the one that offers either nursing, public health, prosthesis and orthopedic for undergraduates and also the one with low tuition fee, low cost of living and high employment opportunity. help a sister out biko. ps: I want to be able to work and school at the same time. tysaxmalomo: First off, if you did your research well, you'd know that tuition in Canada is actually cheaper than the USA, story for another day, as regards like tuition schools,
For the programme you'd need to research these schools and pick out your choice, no one can do that for you. |

After paying an equivalent of $14,000 cad through the funds transfer form... the school sent me receipt of $13,462.56CAD meaning i still have about $695.74 to complete my fees for the whole year but i still sent cic the receipt like that. I just hope and pray CIC does not make a case out of this |

Please Nursing should be a hobby n Forensics your profession. My dear we need you in Nigeria for unsolved crimes This was how Evans was caught sef CanadianNurse: INVESTIGATIoN IN PROGRESS
On June 05 2017 someone created a moniker with the name Biola2017 (similar to John2017) and came to this thread telling people he pays application fee and any fee abroad cheaper than CBN exchange rate this caused a hassle and our dear mod deleted his posts and cautioned him( maybe with a ban) and since then that moniker hasn't logged into nairaland
Fast-forward to June 09 2017 another moniker was created John2017( similar to Biola2017) and immediately started telling people that he has ways to export money and pay fees etc
I want to categorically state that this is pure scam because every nook and crane of this country that money can leave from is guarded by a policy from CBN
Because people have been complaining of proof of fund export the guy sef add am to his scam.... My dear what's the difference between form A and export
Explain what you mean by export..... I pray you find a good job soon
For silent readers and new commers to the thread
Nairaland is a public and faceless forum... There is SCAM everywhere including on nairaland and this one is just one of them...
Go to bank and enquire on how you can pay your fees
Don't use any agent for visa
Open a domiciliary account if push comes to shove
These hungry poor lions are waiting for unsuspecting victims to prey on
Sometimes they even use like 6 monikers to give themselves referrals and praises all so that you can fall for them
Read through this thread and past threads then you will know people who are genuinely here to share info
John 2017 you just open account on June 09 and under 5days.. You have the secret to solve all the financial hindrances.....
One question when did you apply for visa? When did you get admission? Which school
If you are genuine and you can't share your "secret to pay tuition" at least share your profile
You all should urge him to share his profile
Meanwhile see pics below |

Pls can I use the Bank form A to fulfil this requirement. And will it be an efficient means (given time and scope requirements) Abiodunne: I responded to CIC mail as regards proof of funds transfer on 29/05/17...sent my tuition receipt and a bank draft of $10,000 cad. now the thing is my tuition for 1 year is $14,000 CAD and I have already paid about $13,325 CAD...still have about $600 CAD to complete my tuition..As CIC say make we pay entire tuition .....Please I need an advise to know how to go about this? my Dad is saying I should scan and send them his bank statement...please gurus in the house advice a brother. Below is part of the mail sent to me
Due to currency controls in effect in Nigeria, you must provide proof of having paid your entire tuition for the first academic year AS WELL AS one of the following: 1) a letter from a Canadian financial institution stating that living expenses for the upcoming academic year* are on deposit in the your name and a bank statement for the Canadian account; 2) a bank draft in foreign convertible currency for living expenses for the upcoming academic year* made payable to you; or 3) written assurance from the your bank that living expenses for the upcoming academic year* are on deposit and can be exported under the Central Bank of Nigeria’s forex control policies. *For greater clarity, “living expenses for the upcoming academic year” means $10,000 CAD for 12 months or, if your course is shorter than 12 months, $833 CAD for each month of study. This must be received at this office by: 2017/06/08 |
