I understand. Regina has such an awful success/fail ratio

dame134:
Thanks for the write up boss. I appreciate. But I actually didn't intend to wait out for two to three months before I would do anything significant with my second trial at getting an admission into a Canadian institution of learning. More so, I have actually written 2 SOP's before; I applied to the University of Regina for fall this year but was rejected.

Having said that, what I intend to do is apply to two other institution with an SOP written by me perhaps Mr. Genius would help review it before sending my application in for an M.ENG program.

So, the thing here is I have never been inclined to apply for a research based program. But with the right guidance, supply of relevant materials, I know I would definitely do well in writing a befitting SOP and research proposal for a research based program.

Thank you.

This is not a joking matter anymore.

This 1 year tuition payment seems like it is occurs more frequently now

Edilanco:
I didn't get a reference letter from my bank since there was no need. I paid the one year fees and 8000 living expenses in my student account since CBN policy says I can't use formA to pay more than 15,000usd. The balance I put in my dorm acct and I printed the bank statement.

Idowu,

If it shows "Submitted" you have nothing to worry about for now. That's just a month

Thanks and God bless.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Cocosmite: 9:03am On May 25, 2017
I have gone through the document.
I have a few questions

1. I'll like to know when you received this document
2. Do you have access to your CIC application page? That is logging details
3. What have you paid so far in the school and which school (for the temporary visa) is it?

AYOT12:
pls house help me look at dis file.
I got this from my agent
can this be real?
Did anybody get anything like this?
Pls can dis be fraud?Pls I need very urgent answer
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Cocosmite: 8:46am On May 25, 2017
I applied in 2015. It took about 90 days to receive my approved passport.

Remember my dear friend that the average Visa Processing time has been increased from that time period by another average 51days todays (141 average processing time).

In God we trust. It's well be patient.
I have had friends who were delayed same way as you but today are in Canada studying.

When the trials come don't give in but give all.
Instance
If you aren't prayerful it's a good time to become.

*note: average

Kof99:
Pls those who applied for September entry in previous years, did it take soo long to hear from them as regards your successful application? Because I've applied since March and ive heard nothing from them. Except updates of 'No update yet' it's 16weeks span and it'll end in June. Im going to assume if they take this long, then it means my application will be successful. Lol

Cocosmite:
Given that Canadian admission deadline dates vary for Canadian students and International students.
For a person who is still in Nigeria BUT whom already has a valid Canadian student visa but didn't travel . Can he apply while in Nigeria for another course (for winter 2017) that has already exceeded it's International student deadline but still within the Canadian student deadline.
I don't know if I have described my scenario properly.
Thanks. I appreciate your smart ideas.

For those of US that have grounded knowledge of Canada and life post-Msc.
Please I have 2 admissions for fall.
1. Memorial University for MASc Oil and Gas Engineering

2. Dalhousie University for MSc Chemical engineering (Petroleum Engineering route)
Here I have a teaching assistant role of $1000 per term.

My question now is between these two opportunities which do I select with a mind on securing a PR and job prospects in Oil and Gas industry.

Have been reading the last 3 pages.

We have put aside our primordial focus of securing our own personal interests but have rallied around a friend, a facilitator and selfless person.
That is the price of a virtuous person.
@hayqinsbFX I'll abridge the valueable advice I have seen thus far. (from a neutralist point of view)

- Step back and look at your application holistically.
In this way, you 'll Exhibit more professionalIsm with your responses and be less emotional to the highlighted reasons for denial.

- a couple of your fans/loyalist have delivered some advice that should cost big bucks if you had met a counsellor or even the narrow minded agents.
Sieve through what @team12 has said to you, she has you at heart with her constructive criticism.

As a matter of fact, if CIC could scout VOs from NL some names would be hot acquisitions and valuable players. (BTW)

- Lastly, a member has offered you the religious perspective. If you are into that I'll advice you pray hard believing you ARE victorious.
Alternatively , I'd advice you practice the "Laws of Attraction". What you aspire for naturally get attracted to you from your positive mindset.

I strongly believe you are a success and would be a success.

Live Long and Prosperous mate.

Dunno if you got it already but yes they do. email them to request for the soft copy and you'll get it.

For intending, present and past applicants of University of Regina.
Please I'll like to have an idea on the value of University of Regina's nonrefundable fee for an admission in their Masters degree programmes (preferably Petroleum Systems Engineering).

Thanks.

Hey guys,
Good to see some people are interested and working hard to come to Canada. I was born in Nigeria, but I grew up here in Toronto and also went through high school and university here (I've spent most of my life here but still visit naija yearly). Since I did not come through a study visa program I might not be able to of much help with applications but I might be able to give you some advice on things like the city, province, country, school life, work life and culture. I am an engineer aswell, I noticed a lot of people here are applying for engineering.

Goodluck guys.

Cheers
Your profile interests me especially because i am an engineering graduate.

Cocosmite:
That is great. You are versatile my dear friend.

What I meant of the scope of Oil and Gas Engineering is that it may be more narrow and constrained compared to a degree in Chemical Engineering .
E.g Comparing Limitations of Oil and Gas Engineering MASc in Memorial to Chemical Engineering (Courses based on Petroleum studies) Msc in Dalhousie, do you think this Oil and Gas Engineering doesn't keep you in a box.
Some people are of the opinion that degrees such as OIL and GAS ENGINEERING are designed for Internationale exclusively and may weigh less 4 diversity sake. Their opinion though.
i Have admissions in both and I was hesitant on NL cause I felt Chemical Engineering degree covers both on broader range and recognition.

About your study plan. Why did you chose North Island College? The degree selected is awesome and will be sort after continentally.

Keep it up ekpblue8.
Please share your views on this enquiry.

I have a conundrum selecting between Memorial University (Oil and Gas Engineering MASc), Dalhousie University (Chemical Engineering (Courses based on Petroleum studies)) and Regina University (Petroleum System Engineering)

Very good job ekpblues8.
Your advice is solid, however, I have two reservations with NL.
1. Being closest to the Northpole, it is subject to a lot of snow storms
2. Don't you think a study in Oil and Gas Engineering is a bit limited in scope.
I would welcome you perspectives. But already I smile at the Pros of NL.

ekpblues8:
@COCOSMITE: I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO GO FOR MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY,NEWFOUNDLAND. MUN is d best place to study your chosen course. moreover NEWFOUNDLAND has the cheapest cost of living in canada. u have job offers waiting for you at graduation. also the town is an emerging one in terms of economic activity.there are petroleum firms operation in that town. its d best place to study .CHEERS!!!.

for more information carry out research bout the town and its economic activities!!!

Hello NLers,

Can see you are doing a superb work enlightening academic enthusiasts.

I am currently pursuing a master degree in petroleum engineering for falls 2015.

I have applied to a few universities
Memorial (admitted) MASc Oil And Gas Engineering
Dalhousie (admitted) M.Eng Chemical Engineering
Regina (Pending) M.Eng Petroleum System Engineering
Calgary (Pending)M. Eng Petroleum Engineering
Alberta (Rejected)

I'll like to solicit your advice on the offer I should take out of the available 4.
Also how do I go about fInancial funding as none has given me a scholarship.
With plans to obtain a Permanent Visa and work experience which takes priority.
Lastly, do well to give me an idea of cost of living, tuition and miscellaneous fees of each school.

Please is there a specific format sponsors' letters ( Affidavit of sponsorship, letter of sponsorship)
I truely respect your commitments and efforts NLers, many will not know the value of these information until they are billed rather handsomely.

Peter P.
