chucky234: People like you is the reason this great nation has remained stagnant for 53 years, it is only an insane man blinded by tribal sentiment that defends corruption.Hey You! Don't you ever quote me again if your IQ is so low that you can't discern a comment laced with sarcasm. You were so eager to press reply button without effort reading between the lines. What does the closing line of my satirical assertion tell you ? Pls I'm not a fan of insulting people behind the screen, so don't . |
Don't you people understand simple english? This is purely "an attack from our detractors, APC" and its an "Act of God". SIMPLE! This Akintuotu guy has sold out. He must be an APC member The Director-General of the NCAA, Capt. Fola Akintuotu,When Fed Govt can not afford striking lecturers money, just imagine how much a single ministry was planning to spend on just vehicles alone. How many ministries do we have? Imagine each of them spending 1b naira only on UTILITIES. You can see why we shouldn't blame the presidency for wanting to spend 1b naira on feeding. N1bn committed to cars by NCAAwhen number of jobless graduates. Increases exponentially every 3 months. This Onyejeocha check her background, she must be an Ofemmanumanu married to an Ibo person. She's an embarrassment to her tribe for saying this (oh pardon me I must have comprehension problem cos she said NCAA. Meanwhile, NCAA is autonomous, so the minister shouldn't be roped into this, she and her ministry wouldn't have had anything to do with the purchase) The committee, which is headed by Mrs. NkirukaPlease someone should tell this man to go and sit down or does he want to be reminded that Fashola also bought 3 200million naira jeeps (maybe from Innoson since there's no documented proof)? The APC, in a statement by its Interim National PublicityYou people should leave this Madam alone, she has not done anything out of the ordinary. All these need to be done before we can actualise our dream of having more international airports in the country. Stop witch-hunting her. You should understand she has done what no1 has done, not even Prof. Dora or Okonjo. I weep for the future of this country. We need leaders with conscience! And citizens who would always say NO to unpatriotic moves by our leaders irrespective of their ethniciity or religion. |
You try. If I were you I would remove the "health" then not forgetting the "alliance" too. |
@ OoP, nice one. That's a good move by Isa, I can see him working hard to transform that state. |
chukwudi44: SPECIALIZED opertional vehicles could also be BMW armoured carsGuy, stop this,ok? You don't have to continue defending what's not. Forget the fact that she's your tribeswoman. Let's always be sincere and transparent. Only with that we can have a better Nigeria. From the first day the news broke out you've been hopping on threads that has to do with Stella, trying so hard to defend her, even going to the extent of insulting others based on their views. Now that she's made her statement and found complicit to buying those armored vehicles at such an outrageous amount (you may want to argue again that she didn't quote the amount) here you're again saying what is not. Check out your previous posts on this issue. chukwudi44: All evidence so far points to the NCAA and its director chukwudi44: The two black BMW Li HSS vehicles had chases chukwudi44: Is this the best you can come up with? Have you notHow much are you paid for all these? If only she knew she's gat a protege who can shed his last drop of blood to defend her, I think you'd be proud owner of one of her exotic acquisitions. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you shouldn't defend your own, but it should be done rationally. I know of some other tribalists like you on this nairaland that can also go to the extreme to protect their own and their tribe, but they were very sincere in this case. They condemned it from the very first day. Let's come together and condemn this people spending our money without conscience, irrespective of the culprit, be it yoruba, hausa or Ibo. That money can sufficiently buy 3 armoured vehicles and the remaining balance spent on more aesthetic facilities for the Enugu international airport. Even if the vehicles have not being paid for, why go for such an expensive one? |
So where are those ignoramous arguing when the news first broke out that NCAA is autonomous and there's no way our honorable minister of aviation would have had anything to do with the purchase. |
Whaat happened to all the Musiwa series from musiwa1a to musiwainfinity? Have they all been baanned? I have every conviction that this is MUSIWA. I have never come across any other incoherent post with "satellite" pictures on nairaland if not that of musiwa's. |
willibounce: To be honest, the agbero thing is very common with yoruba guys. Go to oshodi, mushin, ketu, mile 12, obalende, lekki, ajah. Even other southwest state. Theyy are a bunch of embarrassment to Lagos n d entire SW.Guy, Agbero is almost everywhr in d country. The manner at which they conduct themselves in each places is what differ. I've not been to any part of the country that I didn't see them. The only difference is that Lagos own are way too razz. The other place I've seen a razz agbero apart from Lagos was Onitsha (whr you board Nnewi and Owerri buses not far from Tracas). One small boy almost beat up an elderly man(the driver of my bus). Felt like teaching d boy some lessons that day and was like so this happens not only in Lag. I really wish govt could do something about them. They are nothing but mere extortionist. Monkey dey work baboon dey chop. |
ol2012: I'm not sure there are non-yoruba agberos in Lagos.Very wrong!!!! There are. If you board all those big buses(bigger than Danfo) from Oshodi to CMS, their last bus stop you would see a particular guy who is an agbero but not yoruba. I think I've come across quite a few number of non-yoruba agberos and I wonder what push them into it and how they got that kind of useless job. |
Foreign dignitaries shey? This is Classic!!! Even Nollywood can't write a script as classic as this. From protecting her from her enemies to foreign dignitaries. Some of us must have used that line when we were small. We would steal something and on getting caught we gave some unbelievably ridiculous excuses which lacked creativity (such as the one above). Abeg there're some lies you go lie and even satan go envy you. That Akinkuotu is a disgrace to all LIERS . As a mattter of fact He should be in the EFCC den now with Oduah his boss. Haba! Acquiring such utilities at that outrageous amount all because of "foreign dignitaries"? |
Why are we just over-bothering ourselves on this woman issue. The fact remains if you like rope her into more messy/controversial practices, if Oga Jonah decides to pay no mind to it all this castigation here and there would just amount to sheer waste of time. The unfortunate thing is People that are suppose to condemn it in its totality (most importantly her kinsmen, even the so called ikenga) see it as nothing but witch hunting cos of the "unprecedented" (according to them) work she's doing to revitalize the airports. I think at this time we need to understand there is "a new and special level of grace" for some people. That said, you should " touch not the (presidential) anointed and do our mistress no harm". No need for further messy revelations cos so long this is not taken for what It really is (by d Oga at the top) and handled the way it should , we would just be wasting our time. If Jonathan doesn't take the bull by the horn now and order her to hang the boot (at least to vindicate himself of his acclaimed zero tolerance on corruption), the END of this may never be seen cos new/fresh events would unfold instigated just primarily to buy TIME so that the cabals can covertly continue their THING. |
Expect a new TWIST to the story soon. Just like SKELEWU video, the concerned crew are so disgruntled right now and have gone to produce another version that would be a hit banger and Mos Def' aid in sweeping this under GEJ's carpet. No be naija we dey? When was the last time we heard about Farouk Lawan and the bribery scandal? |
Okija_juju: With the kind of Hatred I am seeing from Ndi Yoruba towards this our sister Stella, I think she needs to also get a bullet proof [b]house and plane..What does she need those for when she could walk up to you and secure her life instead. Since she wouldn't be in the house or aircraft 24hours. Don't you think that would be a great deal for you? You just need to charge quarter of that amount and she'll be SECURED overall. Bro you don't know how to do biz. They don't need to spend this much on ordinary utilities when you're there. |
Hmmmm who says we're backward technologically I suspect remote control things from d village. Nna Mehn! The Baba dey powerful. |
Is he David's Fan? Unfortunately for him it happened in a country where they'll hand him over to child services and recommend therapy instead of first class treatment and scholarship like ours. #sometimes I just wish naija leaders can emulate developed countries. Had it being that Naija own was treated like this, those other kids wouldn't have had any interest/encouragement to stowaway. Trust naija guy nah, who get time for thera gini? |
Imagine excuse. Her life was in danger my foot. Please my question is : how many of these armored vehicles were bought for Prof. Dora Akinyuli during her tenure as NAFDAC BOSS when she was almost assassinated and had several threats on her life? Whose job is more challenging and life-threatening among the two of them? I guess the threat on Oduah's life was "class A" threat , hence the need for what has now become world's most expensive armored vehicle (hopefully it can shield all those catapult remotely sent from our villages too). |
Buying her bullet-proof vehicles at that outrageous amount? So they're more concerned about the security of their Boss than their primary responsibility- Air Safety that is. Hmm afterall the report is not false. The same way a final year student buys bag of rice with vegetable oil for his project supervisor as Salah gift ( if he underperforms his project supervisor would cover for him, so long the rice still remains in the store). When the Subject pays the Piper to ease his boss stress, who dictates the tune? We all know what it means in naija when your subordinates "buy" you gift. In most cases you would end up not having a strict control over them, thereby making you not as active as you should be and this in turn gives room for irregularities. That's just a simple way of greasing her palm. Whether she ordered it or not, that's inconsequential for now. She is the minister, she oversees the whole aviation sector, their revenue, account , transactions not excluded. Such amount is way too much for vehicles considering the fact that this is one of the particular sectors in the country that needs a vigorous restructuring. #Hmmmm---------------- clears throat and grab the mic while wielding sword# Where are all those Bigots Chanting "its a pull down syndrome" also accusing Sahara reporter of lack of transparency even in the face of glaring evidence. You should all come out and defend your god now. OVER TO YOU |
Church12: Geofree consult have desided to forward onlyThanks I got it. |
Yet another sensible post from an Ibo gal. nnenna.1: nnenna.1:Relative!! I love that word. You really have a point. Bigotry cut across all races/ethnicity. But what I cant stand is a guy threatening an assault on a lady. With my years on nairaland , i've come across posts from most especially Ibos and Yorubas insulting and calling their women folks disgusting names (common between yoruba and Ibo posters). In my opinion, I dont think a direct threat on an individual life (a lady for that matter) can be compared to the name-calling you referred to above. |
I wonder what this world is turning into. i wonder what difference it would make if one of these so called leaders of tomorrow eventually receives the mantle of leadership. it beats me the way we talk, reason and act. Imagine a supposedly educated fellow threatening fellow human being all because she didnt subscribe to his point of view. Its still the same set of people that come pressing their keyboard to reign curses and insults on the likes of Reuben Abati, FFK and their ilks whenever they portray similar attitude ( talking in an uncouth manner whenever one opposes them). The one that baffles me most is the fact that the same dude would also still be the first to press reply button to reprehend the culprit of any news they see on nairaland that carries the caption " A guy was arrested after beating up a lady he met on an online forum". they will call the guy series of unprintable names, even insult his whole tribe altogether. Imagine same person threatening to go and "deal" with a fellow Nairalander, for the reason that is beyond me. This country would change that same day we all decide to change. |
@berem Dear, just want to tell you I like you. I like the way you reason, your objectivity and most of all, not allowing yourself to be deterred as a result of abuses you get from your kinsmen all because you channel your thought in a manner devoid of sentiment. I hardly comment on this platform, but I think I should just tell you how i feel. Ignore them. They dont worth your attention. I dont understand why some of these people even with their level of education and exposure still behave like George (in the jungle). Pick at you cos you air your view, which apparently doesnt sync with their own sentiment-laced assertions. Who does that? Must everyone from the same tribe share the same school of thought? Again, I G N O R E them. |
Imagiine this on the major street of lagos. I hate that leggings so much on a lady , esp those ones with big bum. Arghhh!!!! So disgusting.

maximunimpact: I have eyes, and I see wat odas see abt u.......nobody in his or her right senses will refer 2 u as a woman because u exhibit d traits of a hardhearted man. So 4get d ''f'' on ur apendage, dats jst a fluke. U ar a full grown man, if a man is really marryin u, den u ar a GAY! Hw was ur biz trip?I recommend you both! Pls I wouldn't mind being "one of the best men" (if you understand what I mean) Travelista: You don't have to wonder, just ask. I was on a business trip and the applicants are foolish. Why on earth would you bring in clients when the bank hasn't even hired you? I would never do it but it boils down to desperation and employers exploiting the downtrodden. You both could make a great couple! I hope others can see what I'm seeing. |
BizBooks: In the government' defense, Aganga said arrangements were being made to manufactureYou should know nah, the likes of Kia picanto( that can only be driven within lagos and not that kind of long distance journey from Lag to Abj). When I could use the same amount to get a clean low-mile Honda Accord. |
what about omo onile? for those that may want to come home to settle down. you forgot to warn about those formular one ''Danfo drivers'' (and their rough driving) while driving especially on mainland and also the great risk of leaving your key in the ignition while you go down to check the bruise/mark they just created on your vehicle. Also not to bother dialing any emergency number incase you fall a mugu cos u would be on a very lonnnnnnnnnnng thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! btw, which bread is ''Agege'' bread, specifically? |
You can make google your good companion. I also got the same msg last week,I typed the name on google and it revealed who they're. GNLDing>>>>>>>>>>>---------------- R U N |
@ thegreatman4ww great point there. It takes someone who hasn't tasted the horrible experience as a Nigerian Graduate to bliv only hardwork is the key to getting a good job and living a fulfilled life. Most people that got a job via any of these outsourcing firms were not oblivious of what they're gunning for. They knew outrightly before accepting the options and did solely due to lack of choice. To most graduates, this comes as a last resort. We shouldn't forget so soon that despite the foreknowledge of what awaits you as an employee under this outsourcing firms, you still have several other graduates like you to compete with( without ruling out praying and fasting) all in a bid to get the so called a job that would inturn make you a" second class staff" ,dubbed support staff. Meanwhile, its not as if you've gat a lower or a less superior degree compared to the core staff. This is a country where nepotism paves way for you than Hardwork. |
Though kinda so inhumane to pack passengers alongside luggages like this, but i can tell y'all haven't traveled long distance on naija road before, esp Lagos to North or east using normal small buses (hummer bus or those old ones). The worst ever experienced in my life was LAGOS - MINNA (Niger State). its just a custom, as in its like a norm (cos u have traders who come to lag to buy things almost everyday) , you cant escape it - most especially their state transport-owned buses called NSTA. They fill every little spaces in the bus with "kaya" , even relaxing your leg would be extremely difficult. Imagine for a minimum of 10-hour journey!!!! God go save us for naija. |
