I knew when these rapacious dingbats were claiming that electricity had improved tremendously (even though we knew it was a lie) they were planning to effect the tariff increment. Covid has affected the economy but the first thing to do is to add more hardship on the people because covid did not affect them, it only affected the govt. Any govt that thinks it can generate funds by continually taxing its citizens only for daft, ineffective, useless thieves in govt to manage is wasting its time and Nigeria is that country.. The idiots only talked about free electricity for the citizens during the intensive covid period and that was it, we never heard anything again but they want to increase the tariff again. The dullard and his cursed lieutenant are a curse to this Nation. Tueh! |
Someone that cannot settle rift between his "wife" and aides is who you want to settle godfather and godson quarrel. Someone that sees nothing, knows nothing and hears nothing. Kwantinue. ![]() |

LibertyRep:You seem not to have understood the type of country we are in. In my earlier response I described it as selfish, wicked, insensitive and its only unruly, disgruntled, parochial and people with no iota of vision that practice that. Unfortunately for us we have them both in the ruling party and major opposition depending on who is in power. Any supposedly level headed person cannot smell any sit of power now through the ballot as it stands. Why will Ize iyamu even have the will to join APC or why will Oshiomhole and APC even agree to allow him join after all the things oshiomole said about him. Its the same way PDP is willing to allow Obaseki join them. Nothing will change unless there is a revolt from the people butthey have succeeded in also dividing us to continue to pertuate themselves in power. So that thought of PDP dragging Obaseki to court will not even play in their minds, they want obaseki with them so that he can at least use Edo state funds to further their own quest for the Governorship. APC that disqualified him, why have they not taken him to court? As per Ize iyamu winning the APC ticket we will have to wait and see. |
LibertyRep:Not that I support any of PDP or APC. But he can get the PDP ticket because of the type of useless wicked insensitive politics we practice here. Ask yourself how come Obaseki who was qualified to win as gov on APC platform suddenly became ineligible? Ask yourself again how did ize iyamu become a front runner to clinching the APC ticket after all the things Oshiomhole said about him in the 2016 election while campaigning for this same disqualified Obaseki. Try to analyse without sentiments. |

flyingpig:I totally agree with this 100% The rate of development will even amaze us. However we in the south especially need to find a way to force the North yo comply or conform to this but the constant bickering between the west and east is rather frustrating and annoying. |
weedtaker:I know say na the special weed wey you smoke for mountain during your absence help clear your mind to do the right thing. ![]() Nobody fit yab us for that matter again. ![]() Wedone sir. ![]() |
GloryIsaac:I really hope so. Getting that cl spot means a lot for us going forward. You know how they used to blow hot and cold before the covid break. This one that Pogba and Bruno are scoring and assisting in training, may it continue when we resume o ![]() If those 2 players click in our midfield i believe it will make a lot of things easier for the team. |
A little nervous about the first game. We dont know how it will go, but if we get the first game right, like winning and winning while playing very good football then we will comfortably secure cl spot. Everyone needs to be sharp. |
Racoon:For me I don't think its a matter of who is most qualified. We ard talking about due process in the scheme of ghings. We know okonjo is eminently qualified to be at the wto but Egypt has a point in what they are pushing for. The dullard in chief and his merry band of clowns we have in government have made us a laughing stock in the commity of nations. If Nigeria had the clout she iought to have Egypt won't even cough if we decide to change candidates on the eave of the election/appointment. |
Iamgrey5:Both the dullard and the NASS members at all mad! |
loosecanon50:How can some apply what he naturally doesn't have? |
smizy:I consider myself a good citizen of this country ![]() That you cannot read this interesting piece is a shame, but I will summarize the article for you. It simply says the dullard in chief is the most bigoted, nepotistic, tribalistic, clannish, sentimental, rettarded, parochial, illiterate to be in charge of a country. And he displays those attributes with the highest level of stupid pride. |

Garba shehu right now will be like " na which kain wahala be this" ![]() After I don deny, lie, swear say nothing happen. ![]() The uselessness of this govt cannot be quantified. |
barragan:I don tire for people. Nobody seems to know the meaning of "at the behest of" the minister. Or they just ignore or even just want yo believe what suits their narrative. The minister actually asked him to decline the offer because of the outcry, especially within the APC. Smh. |
Bellotelli:Reviewing salaries has always been something that should have been done. The disparity is too much when you compare those that work with NNPC, DPR, Nimasa, CBN with those that work in the core ministries and some agencies. But the salary review should actually start with politicians. They take the chunk of the money and cause us problems. Unfortunately for us they are the ones to decide who gets to be reviewed and they sure won't start with themselves. |
It will at least set us on the right path. There are many tight paths that we ought to take. Taking tbose paths at the same time will save us. Restructuring is one of those paths we ought yo take and taking it is a huge step in the right direction. Land use act should also be abrogated. |
salford1:That is not the issue. Let them give the prepaid. It is for the discos to find a way to stop that. So because people will bypass they should continue with outrageous estimated billing. For example, When you start a bank, the onus is on you to find a way to limit fraud by putting everything necessary to catch fraudsters. Or you can go ahead and employ only your church members in the bank on the pretext that they are all holy so no need for any fraud detecting device or mechanism. Your choice! |
kikero:I wasn't comparing them based on their status. I did that based on what both companies offer as service. I can infer from what you said that the gsm people did what they ought to do to be able to expand. What did the discos do with the funding the govt gave them? When they bought the companies did they not do due diligence? |
kikero:Please stop comparing electricity with the gsm coys it doesn't make sense at all. The only way is for them to make sure they can supply light 24/7, make sure everyone has prepaid. That they want to use the money people pay to expand as things are is folly. |
kikero:I will answer this first part of your write up. When you start a business or buy one off someone, you are at least expected to make sure that the essentials are made available before you expect people who pay to want to continue to pay. Again let's understand that power is an essential commodity that is critical to people unlike the gsm you talk about. If you have not made the power stable how do you expect regular prompt payment. This again can be solved by supplying prepaid meters. The discos is tell us we are billed what we actually use. You give someone light for just 12days in a month, bill him for that 12day (for those using prepaid) and expect you will generate money. Meanwhile the guy who has no prepaid meter is billed 3times what he should pay because you give him estimated bill and in his mind he k ows he didn't enjoy light for most of the days in the month and you think you are doing business. |
kikero:Which comes first, the chicken or the egg. Power supply is bad because the govt has failed in doing the right thing. People not paying their bills is not the major cause of bad supply. Now what is that right thing the govt should do. I will answer this question in the context we find ourselves now because honestly states should be allowed yo generate, transmit and distribute power. But we are where we are. Gas supply, transmission and distribution are the major cause of epileptic power. I cannot totally blame the discos but I will also not totally blame consumers but because the discos cannot harass the govt and their agencies they go after the hapless consumers. The discos have been given money by the govt and they have taken loans, what did they do with the money, where did they channel it to. The discos should pump money to make sure they have the capacity to absorb what is generated, transmission should be removed from govt hands and distribution should also be heavily invested in by the discos. Once that is done then we know that electricity can be stable, transformers and cables changed so that when supply is stable and everyone metered with prepaid, Phcn, discos or NEPA will not need to ho about chasing people yo pay or cutting electricity. Let the discos find money to fix all these and see if money will not flow in because of suffient prepaid meters with adequate supply of light. Ask yourself why are they stalling in finding a way to make prepaid affordable, its because if everyone has prepaid and they don't supply light 24/7 they are the ones that would lose so they ho about giving people very outrageous estimated bill just to stay in business thereby cheating the consumers. |
Jaqenhghar:Leave that guy he is trying to be smart by half. When you start or buy a business you invest money in critical aspects of the company so that you can at least give a good level of satisfactory services, this would make the people pay and then you expand. These guys bought the business, govt gave them money to support them, they took loans from banks that should have been used for critical aspects of the business, ate the money and now want people to pay so that they can use the money to expand. To make matters worse a neglected critical aspect of the business is still in the hands of the govt and they want people to pay for services not rendered. |
kikero:What difference has there been since the name change? My point is we are still experiencing the same epileptic supply of electricity regardless of the nomemcleture whether govt owned or private coy. |
