If for example I buy your said account, it means it is a generated account, isn't it?

Getting verified by Twitter isn't an easy task as it requires serious efforts from your end. There are advantages, however associated with having that check mark added to your name.

Verification don't come cheap, Yes, you heard me! Though you can apply for verification, but it is easier for a celebrity or an influencer to get verified and If you are like the everyday person with on social media, it becomes a bit of a difficult task to get it, you might just want to stick to "following".

Can you pay Twitter to get verified?

Well, there's no direct answer to this question with a bit of research, we can say YES and NO.

NO because it is not as like there is a Twitter button that says "Purchase Verification"

YES, for the obvious reason that Twitter runs and advertising network on their platform and therefore gets paid for every single promoted advertisement. It is logical to say that if you pay for your content to be promoted as a company, there's high likelihood that your followers will increase as you spend more on advertising.

The more you spend on advertising, the more followers you get and the likelihood of a company getting verified is very very high.

The idea is that when you spend enough money, Twitter takes notice. They decide that they want to encourage you to keep using the platform, and they do this in a way that is to them quite free, but to you quite valuable: verification.

Check and see for yourself, almost all the big brand names are. If you are not a household name, the blue check mark don't come cheap.

How much does it cost, then? Well, verification doesn’t come cheap. You might expect to have to be paying over $15,000 on advertising through Twitter… every month.

So if you’re the kind of company that has this much money to throw around, it’s entirely possible that you already have verification, or that being verified is already in the works, simply due to your size and high profile.

There are Public Relation Firms (PR) that can also help the regular user by a boost on their profile and some requires that you pay them for added value.

In all, the verification process is for all, not entirely selective as just like you, I am not verified and still have a long way to getting the desired followers or the cash to throw around but application is free!

NOTE: Beware of Scammers that will prey on your eagerness for this coveted check mark.

I have over-studied in recent weeks as I’ve read more than I write (code); mostly package management and version control tools as I prepare for large-scale code collaboration and deployment of complex projects (actually I am preparing to port a Drupal 7 module to Drupal 8 for a start).

There is a technique that has been flying over my head for over a year (probably because I didn’t take it serious at first). I came across it in Douglas Crockford’s “JavaScript the Good Parts” while studying advanced function technique late last year. Here is a sample:

Both piece of code uses same technique (Recursive Anonymous Function Expression) to solve two different problems. My issue is not recursive functions as I understand the concept perfectly. But since recursive function usually suffers from stack overflow (in some languages) and can be rewritten as iterative, I have never used it as iteration presents a more readable code.

It seems the PHP code uses the Tower of Hanoi concept to rearrange the data structure. It is just a guess, I’m not really sure.

Can anyone help me breakdown the code as the thing nearly crash my head.

Aptoide is another free store you can use for now, it is very easy to register and upload your app but make sure you have your app's unique key for signing cos you'll need it to get your app accepted.

Nobody would want to buy you a laptop just because you just developed interest in coding but if you really have a unique idea, then there are chances that you'd get someone ready to fund your ideas. to speed up your development, it advisable to use framework, but it is good to know php well before using framework.
when you are good with the language and the framework stop updating it libraries, you can write your own library or patch for the framework to solve your problems.

I still prefer to write from scratch, if you are writing a project on core programming language like C and its dialects, you won't find any framework to work with, mostly when you hear framework, the web comes to mind.

I write from scratch bro and just like I mentioned in my first post, using framework is not bad, also depends on the programmer, the client and time in between project delivery.

I am about to create a web app (business oriented) fully for the first time all by myself should I build it from scratch or learn and use a framework? The language to be used is PHP.



From scratch I mean the MVC will be built by me, There won't be Model in fact. Just a View and a Controller for each of the user's request . This is opposing to a framework like Laravel or Zend.

I certainly know to increase my learning I should build from scratch. To increase my CV I should learn a framework.

The front-end will be Bootstrap and JavaScript (jQuery inclusive).
Data will be handled by MySQL database.
Framework: No or x-framework.

Correct me if I'm getting anything wrong.

I prefer to write from scratch, but you must consider your knowledge base first, if not we sometimes need one or two resources to keep up with time but basically, I write from scratch so that I can have control over it. Using framework is not bad but what happens if they cease to exist or for some reason, stopped update and your whole project is solely dependent on their resources.

Also, you need to consider timing, if you are developing for a client, pls use framework if you must to keep up with client demands.
