If You did not so your research well, You have no one to blame

I have friends in Canada
One went with PR, he was a medic and is currently doing care and transitioning to study Nursing as Its not presently easy to get into Canadian medical.practice with a Naija or Eastern Europe medical degree and directly from Nigeria

Doctors, Radiographers, Sonographers, Biomedical engineers are in demand in Nigeria now

In Canada ,Nursing assistants, truck drivers, shop assistants, care givers, construction , forklift drivers are in demand so far You have your canadian residential papers

In Uk now, Entry Level Doctors are looking for Jobs

Would a tailor sew english suits to sell in a New Yam Festival Carnival

No Country gives foreigners jobs when there are enough indigenes to do the jobs
Its areas where indigenes are scarce and the jobs are essential that foreigners are considered

If You didnt Research Demand and supply and
How it applies to You and any country You want to go to; and Your chances of fitting or adjusting based on your situation and skills in this era where there is online information available free online ;with mass access to good internet capable chinese phones;
You have yourself to blame
this is the same issue people don't understand within different states in Nigeria.

the indigenes will be the ones to get jobs first before non-indigenes..

Seaport are under exclusive list. State government has no power on it.
All those states needs is permission and authorization from the FG..

Lagos state government is building a new Lekki seaport and a Lekki new airport.

Dangote wants to build a new seaport in Ogun state and all he needed was permission and authorization from the FG..

no one is stopping any state from building new international airports or seaports...

stop making excuses for those states and your own state governors...

Your first paragraph amaze me cheesy cheesy

Are you going to tell the private sector especially companies and multinational companies owned by non Yorubas and foreigner who and whom not to employ ?

Not everyone working in lagos is doing white collar jobs. Most have their own enterprise and business. So you first paragraph is Dead on Arrival. It won't work.

Have you told you that all the Airport and Seaport in Nigeria are not equal. Lagos ports monopolize import and export.

They are certain good you can't import from sea ports In SS. Goods like Electrical, automobile, food, medicine, pahrmacutical, auto parts etc. You only import it through Lagos Seaport before of FG policies on seaport which give lagos state edge over other states. The same applies with airport.

You can't receive international flights from UK, America, Europe , China to Enugu, owerri, ph airport etc. It is only lagos and Abuja has the capacity to receive international flight. That the reason lagos and Abuja attract most of foreign investors. Why because of Seaport and Airport monopoly gave to them by FG.

So, if you want to decongest lagos, is very simple. FG should decentralized all the Seaport and Airport so that people in other regions can import and export goods in their coastal cities and also travel abroad without coming to lagos and Abuja.
Cross-River state government can make the Calabar port operational if they want to...

Onne port is working so if they want other goods to be allowed they should protest and hold the Rivers state government accountable.

Port harcourt port the 2nd port in Rivers state can also be made operational especially since Rivers state is an oil producing state.

Warri port can also be operational since Delta state is also an oil producing state and can afford to do it..

but you guys don't want to hold your state goverments accountable because you guys can easily relocate to the SW instead of putting pressure on your state governor and senators..

you non-Yorubas are in the SW due to Yoruba buying and spending power and not because of the lies called favoritism.. there is nothing forcing non-Yorubas to stay in Lagos except an imaginary lie that Lagos state is favored...

People hustle and make money for themselves in lagos and you call it Yoruba people money ?

Which money exactly ? From where ? Do you feed anyone in lagos ? Do you pay their bills ? So why calling it Yoruba people money abi thief dey your eye ?

Lagos was the capital for almost 7 decades. FG developed lagos alongside with oil money gotten from Niger Delta and enterprising spirit of Nigerians doing business and paying their tax to the lagos state government.

If you are tired of seeing non-yoruba in lagos. Then tell tinubu your brother to divide Nigeria so that everyone will answer their Father name.

Or better still, Tell tinubu to decentralized the Seaport and Airport monopoly that lagos have so that importer can import and export goods in ph, warri, Calabar, Uyo seaport without coming to lagos. Tell tinubu to make all the Seaport in Nigeria equal. Lagos is not the only Coastal city in Nigeria.

Tell tinubu to decentralized the airport monopoly that lagos and Abuja have so that other states can receive international flights. So that I can travel to America or UK without going to Lagos or Abuja.

If tinubu do these things I mentioned. Millions of people will leave Lagos.

But if you don't want to see any non Yoruba at all in lagos. Then push for division of Nigeria. Because you can't be telling non Yoruba to leave lagos when Nigeria is still a One. Nobody will listen to you because you can't eat your cake and have it.
like I told Gerard59

No need to push for dis-integration of Nigeria... Once non-Yorubas realizes and makes peace with the fact that they are not getting jobs because they are non-Yorubas then they will automatically leave..

should the bolded be implemented then Lagos will be more than what it is today...

you don't realize that people leaving their states to move to Lagos is actually brain-drain within Nigeria and it keeps those states under-developed because the people that are meant to call out those governors have moved to Lagos and are instead calling out Lagos government...

states like Delta, Rivers, Edo, Akwa-ibom, Bayelsa, Cross-River e.t.c should be much more developed than Lagos state but their people have moved to Lagos..

There is no tribalism in Nigeria..

most Nigerians especially southern Nigerians shout "tribalism" because they are not living in their ethnic region and want to manipulate the system of the region they are living in to favour them.

SE and SS have 4 seaports which is more than anywhere in Nigeria..

There's a seaport in Rivers state called "port harcourt".
There are also:
Calabar port
Onne port
Warri port..
the only thing Lagos and the SW has over other regions is the spending power which means the buyers and consumers of most products in Nigeria is the SW..
A business person whose market is the SW will not import from the ports in the SE/SS regions then transport the goods to the SW to sell because that is waste of funds and will destroy the business before it starts..

Calabar Port is largely moribound. It's only used for exports when there is delay at Lagos ports.
Onne port is "working". However, it's not all goods that are allowed entry via the port. I have no idea about Port-harcourt port.
Bomadi port in Warri isn't working. It's worse than its Calabar counterpart.

Yes, it makes sense to cite offices, factories and businesses in Lagos because of the population, but the favouritism towards its ports over others contributed to the population increment.
Cross-River state government can make the Calabar port operational if they want to...

my point is about more land for Lagos state to rapidly urbanize an accomodate its growing numbers in a less chaotic fashion and not about Ogun state sitting up. Tell that to you father and mother and see what they do or say to your oblongata.

this is not about any state government sitting up. lagos is the only state in nigeria that has a seaport in a country heavily reliant on importation, hence most buisiness/industries will choose to situate in lagos/ogun state environs close to lagos due to nearness of raw materials and products imported.

there are about 2 or 3 other states in the south south that is capable of having a seaport but due to political reasons it will not happen because it weakens the power of the southwest region which is heavily reliant on the city of lagos and strengthens the autonomy of the south south which is already the breadwinner of the country as is. so forget it bro, there's nothing special about lagos governors/leadership, they simply enjoy a unique privilege, due to that SEAPORT mainly plus being the first capital of the country, hence many industries established there already

Your suggestion is apt. If I hazard a wild guess, Lagos is the only metropolitan city with a small land mass where the majority of the buildings on the mainland - its most populous zone - aren't high rises.

Lagos needs to build up, but are the required infrastructure available (piped water, lift that work 24/7/365, constant electricity, piped gas etc?)

That said, what's Femi doing that you commend?

Go and answer the proper issues I listed for you. Why is it so important to house each one of them in "an eyebow" (your spelling) area in Abuja? By the way - the govt promised them property in addition to the $100k - so that is already separate.

If you are not ready to think properly please just enjoy yourself. It appears you think that for a struggling African nation in the grips of its greatest hardship since independence, splurging in this way is top most priority. There are security issues to think of. What do your policemen (who secure LIVES DAILY) earn? How many people are mass murdered weekly in Nigeria? But for you the bling-bling of this waste is more important.

Everything is about priorities. You cannot have starving children and insist on spending as though you are a billionaire. It doesnt make sense. When it comes to the suffering masses they say "make sacrifices" - but if your president wants to dash away $15 Trillion to his buddy in the name of one contract, you will close your eyes. If your President wants an expensive new Jet you will close your eyes. If your President wants 15 vacations a year in France, you will close your eyes. Continue. I wasnt talking about you personally when I said you will get the government you deserve. It is a general saying that a people get the leadership they deserve.
The hunger and hardship is caused by the british not really the politicians.

the answer in summary is = north had a continuous deficit balance of payment yearly until 1914..

which means all the money north including all the 19 states in the north has been getting since 1914 to 2025 has been the surplus of southern Nigeria's wealth ( which also means all the I:G:R reports are fake especially the ones from the north ).

which also means if southern Nigeria's surplus can take care of 19 states in the north then if 1914 amalgamation never happened southern Nigeria would have no poverty at all ..

and in 1914, Crude oil had not been found in Southern Nigeria yet.. so imagine how well that surplus improves after 1960.

What most people don't realise is that since 1914 Nigeria has been surviving on southern Nigeria's money.

UK Annual Budget (2024 Spending) - £1.279 trillion - That is 2.59 Quadrillion Nigerian Naira

Our current budget? - Circa £24.5 billion.

Do you want to continue comparing?
It is Western influence that devalues the naira, which spoils the purchasing power of every Nigerian and causes Nigeria to struggle.

you don't understand their hatred for black people globally especially those in Africa..

india annual budget is ₹48 trillion which is equal to $560 billion ( with a population over 1.4billion people

while Nigeria annual budget is ₦49 trillion which is equal to $30 billion ( with a population of 200million people )..

the point is Western powers claim Nigeria's population is the reason for ₦ Naira's bad currency conversion to the dollar..

but india with a population 7 seven times Nigeria's own is not affected by the same policy that causes Nigeria's bad currency conversion to the dollar..

if you reduce india annual budget to ₹28 trillion similar to Nigeria ₦28 trillion..

india's ₹28 trillion is still equal to $326 billion...

South Africa R2.59 trillion is equal to $138.5 billion due to the whyte boers that lives there.

The Naira is a weapon fashioned against Nigeria and Nigerians by the Western powers.

No country, tribe region or group on this planet earth that doesn't have criminal elements. So stigmatizing and stereotyping the whole ibo tribe for crime committed by individuals is unfair especially when it is coming from people you share the same country. Igbos are so much hated in Nigeria by almost all the major and minor tribes. The atrocities being perpetrated by the Hausa-Fulani herdsmen in Nigeria, if it were the Ibos the entire igbo people would have been wiped out by the
Nigerian authorities.
Ibo marginalization and hatred in Nigeria is very real and obvious that they even boast of it. Ibo marginalization is borne out of hatred, envy and jealousy
i:gbos are not marginalized.

the way Nigeria is structured, ethnic nations that control a state can never ever be relegated, i:gbos control at least 6 to 7 states in Nigeria, the states means indigenous government officials ( i:gbo officials ) will always receive funds.

if i:gbos were marginalized then that means since 1970 they have not received any allocation from the FG and they have never held any Federal Government political appointments, and never been governors, senators, local government chairmen in their own states. It means they would not have federal universities, federal polytechnics, federal secondary schools, Federal primary schools, federal hospitals, federal customs immigration offices, federal airports, other federal agencies, federal roads e.t.c

i:gbos are pros at emotional blackmailing other people to manipulate them to do what i:gbos want.

i:gbos have never ever been marginalised... they only cry marginalisation in states they are not indigenous to so that they can get government positions in those states that is also one of the reasons they are the only ones that want "State of Origin" removed from the constitution.
