Host78: if the next generation needs to research yoruba culture then it's probably dead.
Culture will never remain the same from generation to generation. Some aspects become stronger and others wane.
It's important to have as many people as possible to practice your culture. That's what will keep it going.
Look at religion, those religions with fewer members tend to sink.
You just can't maintain culture. Sooner people understand this the better. I am not black american but i enjoy reading their history. I was not talking only about the next SW generation. I was talking about people in the next generation who will enjoy reading SW history will end up been mis-informed if people like this woman are not stopped. |

Host78: Do people really worry about other people practicing their culture?
Like as an idoma man, I'll be worried if I see an igbo man practicing idoma culture? Yes.. A.i gets its information from the internet and they are doing everything to re-write Yoruba culture and insert themselves into Yoruba history. Which means A.i will start giving out wrong information or igbonized version of Yoruba culture when the next generation start researching Yoruba culture. |

Yankiss: Please, we need to let people breathe. Do you know that partying kind of helps her escape depression? Let her mourn in peace, whichever way she chooses. Depression following loss of a close relative is real. Her friends might have suggested that to help her unwind. Strictly my opinion. Partying exposes her to alcohol, drugs, weeds and other vices... when a person gets money avoiding places where alcohol, drugs, weed e.t.c. are in use is very important. if not she will get addicted and lose the money to those vices and be worse than before they got that money. |

uchwar1: I want to specifically write to MODs and to show my deepest disappointment with hate and tribal comments in this forum. U guys allow some abuses against igbos but delete and block others against other tribes other than igbos. Have u asked yourself why Igbo youths keep committing such crimes in diaspora? An average Igbo youths do not get equal opportunities their other counterparts get in Nigeria. They seek greener pastures in a country like Malawi. Is that not a shame to Nigerian govt? Why would someone want to japaa at first? If the country is ok, why will I leave my country to another. Why would someone commit crime if he has the resources? I don't support crime but this embarrassment won't stop until the country is safe for people to live in. Stop the tribal remarks igbo youths have more opportunities than people whose tribe only have 1 state.. igbo youths have Imo, Enugu, Anambra, Ebonyi, Abia, Rivers and Delta states for as many opportunities that they can create.. imo, Anambra, Abia, Delta and Rivers are all oil producing states so igbo youths have access to oil money. igbos own Nest oil, Zenith Bank, Access Bank, Fidelity Bank, Konga, Coscharis, Kilimanjaro e.t.c. so igbo youths have access to jobs and companies that smaller tribes do not have access to.. igbo youths have more than enough opportunities in their 7 states alone than other tribes in Nigeria. |

yinkeys: What if they’re funding both sides You don’t know the Zionist state has a lot of American politicians on a blackmail roster ? Powerful foreign states also cause chaos in other countries to promote their sale of guns companies. If everywhere is safe how would the gun manufacturers make money Nigeria wasn’t producing locally made weapons at large until recently We’ve heard of videos of white people using helicopters & giving a certain tribe in rural areas weapons, money etc A Unilag professor and some ex government staffs said this on national TV There are invisible hands that funds these bandits Trust me it’s powerful countries that use neocolonialism, divide and conquer tactics etc They do it all over the world It could also be part of their grand scheme to depopulate the world Why would Gates have closed door meetings with Shettima etc What’s Gates motive in Nigeria, The AES states that evicted Western puppets cannot be lying I really hope they print out the list of politicians causing chaos in Nigeria, Even the president because of a case in USA is probably held to ransom thereby compromising Nigerias sovereignty I think there are different parties involved the chaos going on across Sahel and in Nigeria From UAE to Western countries Everyone out for what they can scrap from Africa Modern warfare & neocolonialism tactics since they can’t recolonize It’s ultimately about land and resources yinkeys: In Africa, not elsewhere It has always been about land and resources snatching They use uneducated extremists to carry out their dirty work Muslim Christian or Traditionalist o They will delete anyone Just like how the kingpin is grabbing land in the commercial centre, it’s not a tribe issue. It’s conquest regardless of ethnicity They even demolished & stole land from an American woman that bought property there. It’s survival of the fittest, Nigeria is lawless, laws are only applicable to a certain class We’ve had 2 heads that couldn’t present a certificate of formal education completion What does that tell you so you have sense like this |
NYSC › Re: I Won Kogi State Government Award For My Community Development Works (pics) by codemaniacs: 9:58pm On Oct 03, 2025 |
Interesting15: So, I've been recently sharing about my passion for community development activities and advocacy, which started during my NYSC days, and I also want to share how I was honored with the Lokoja Local Government Award and Kogi State Government Award for my impactful work (which made me eligible to win the National Presidential Award).
Now, one of the things I got to love and admire about the NYSC system is that it gives everyone an equal platform to exhibit their potential and rewards those who distinguish themselves, without you needing to have strong connections. For me, when I was deployed to Kogi State, I had no connections at all. But right from the 21-day orientation camp period, I was freely given a platform to exhibit my abilities and rewarded accordingly.
And this is one of the reasons I love my alma mater—the University of Ibadan. Unlike several other Nigerian universities where you need to know who-is-who to be given admission for certain "lucrative" courses, the University of Ibadan has a system where the son of a nobody can easily be admitted to study well sought-after professional courses without paying a dime in bribes, as long as he is extremely intelligent and meets the requirements.
So, one of the reasons why I now hold the NYSC close to my heart is because it proved to me that it's a system that rewards those deserving of applause after distinguishing themselves during their service year. It's not a scheme that only unfairly gives these rewards to those from wealthy or influential backgrounds in the country. Indeed, NYSC is an empowerment initiative that can be utilized by average Nigerians from average backgrounds to quickly climb the ladder to the top with great ease.
It's therefore a thing of great joy when, during my stream's Passing Out Parade, I was called out and distinguished with the Lokoja Local Government Award and Kogi State Government Award for my impressive work in the state, becoming eligible to win the National Presidential Award too.
God is ever good.

lexxwiz: Chief this isn’t an English contest. Tribalism is beneath me and by proxy Youre beneath me.
This isn’t a case of Igbo owns this or that, if you check properly, there are other tribes affected there too if not equally. This is a case of gov’t looking out for its masses. If you’re smart enough you would have thought of this instead of going into full blown defense of the Yoruba tribe.!
Son, be it in Enugu, delta, edo kano or any part of this country where anyone or group of people choose to be legit, the government owes it to them to support in any meaningful way. Can the approval still be gotten in this case? Yes? The said structure In a GRA? No? Why destroy million of billions of investment of hard working people just because of some crap Why pushing your citizens to the wall?
Son, humanity first before tribe and religion. You can drown yourself in your self absorbed hatred for the igbos if you like, one thing is clear here, this could have been handled differently. Forget the crap about beating up their staffs et all, Thats just bullshit. But you came back in with a bulldozer? Stop it son! if tribalism is beneath you then you will not speak in favor of your tribe.. if you're smart enough you will know that Lagos is 22% - 25% water.. the remaining 75% is land and the Yorubas will do everything to own and control majority of that land.. having humanity is what allowed the invasion of Nigeria by nomadic terrorists... so no more humanity for anyone.. |

BreconHills: You dont need to be a role model. This is a form of penance. She is to use her large IG following to speak against hullicinatory drug use. She is not being paid a dime.
If LASG should fight her, she will get more followers and more attention. I can bet you that once she starts speaking against drugs her followership will shrink and her xxxx brand will falter.
Its about using common sense. Not every enforcement is jail, jail, jail. it is common sense to jail people.. if northern Nigerians were jailing the terrorists in their states then there will not be terrorism in Nigeria... so what you mean is if the terrorists that have killed, r:aped and robbed people start speaking against terrorism while still secretly killing people they should not be jailed Are you normal? |
