if the capital had been chosen to be a central location. you guys would have qualified for a federal road from Benin to centre of delta state and another from centre of delta state to Awka(likely through Asaba). Another from Yenogoa to Delta would have given the state a good federal road network to launch with.

One of our deep structural problem is impulsive governance and lack of long term planning.
If you check advanced nations like UK and USA, they have a clear picture of skillsets that are saturated in their labour market and those lacking. They know what will likely be needed on the short medium and long term. You have statements like "average salary for a computer scientist is so so and so", "100,000 computer scientist are needed in the USA".
Where is the data for such planning in Nigeria? NUC is largely to accredite and deny accreditation or approve licence. ASUU is a union filled with people who dont have the welfare of the system at heart.
We are still sleeping in Africa.
