The term "NGK Iridium plugs" is ambiguous. Which of the many iridiums of the NGK brand is he to look for? At any rate the recommended plug is as I have stated NGK PLFR5A-11. It is patinum-tipped and could last over 100k miles.
OP call this number 08023021237 and ask for Chidi. He is a Nissan parts dealer at Ladipo and he has the plugs. It sells for 2k a piece and you'll need 6 pieces. After installing the plugs try to scan the engine and let's see what comes out. Whatever the case the issue of a bad or inappropriate plugs is removed.
Btw, the check engine light is the "Service Engine Soon" light that you say comes on intermittently.

Thanks! I will do as advised.

That's the plug recommended by your car manufacturer. The brand is NGK, and the part number is PLFR5A-11. Btw, what year is your Murano; is your SES light on?

It is a 2004 model. I do not know what SES light is but the 'check engine' light comes on when the plug misfires, making the car jerk and unstable till the plugs are replaced.

I'll request for the recommended plug when I'm buying. Where can I get in Lagos?
Thanks for you response.

The plug for your vehicle is NGK PLFR5A-11. It is common enough. It is expected to last 100k miles and more.

Do you mean I should request for this particular type when buying? And what could be the cause of its constant wear out? Thanks for your input. Still expecting more opinions from you guys.
Car Talk / Spark Plugs Wear Out Quickly (murano) Attention: Ikenna & Co by Coefficient(m): 9:16pm On Nov 19, 2013
According to my Mechanic, he said that the coil in the engine around the spark plugs is what kills the plug (dunno what he meant by that). The spark plugs don't last. I believe something causes it to wear out. I also believe the plugs aren't genuine enough. Kindly advise me guys.

I also need a genuine Nissan spare parts dealer in Lagos

Thanks.

Since you know his knowledge of the matter will bring him to near death, why don't you refrain from telling him. You can share it with your sisters but definitely not with him. Whatever has a beginning has an end. The truth will come to light some day.

Good luck!

Literature / Festus Iyayi Is Dead. by Coefficient(m): 5:25pm On Nov 12, 2013
This will probably not make it to the front page but I hope it does. At least for the sake of us literary enthusiasts and grammarians. It is a sad one though. RIP

Former president of the Association of Senior Staff of Universities, ASUU, Dr. Festus Iyayi is dead.
He died Tuesday morning in a car crash on his way to Kano to participate in tomorrow’s National Executive Council Meeting of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) expected to declare an end to the over 4-month strike.
He was a writer known for his radical and sometimes tough stance on social and political issues.
Dr. Iyayi was president of ASUU from 1986, but in 1988, the union was briefly banned and Iyayi was detained.
He was born in 1947, in Ugbegun in Ishan, Edo State.
A well known author with four books to his credit (Violence, The Contract, Heroes, and Awaiting Court Martial), Dr. Iyayi in 1988 won the Commonwealth Prize for Literature for his book Heroes.
In 1968, he left the shores of Nigeria to pursue his higher education, obtaining a M.Sc in Industrial Economics from the Kiev Institute of Economics, in the former USSR and then his Ph.D from the University of Bradford, England.
In 1980, he went back to Benin and became a lecturer in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Benin.
As a member of staff of the University, he became interested in radical social issues, and a few years after his employment, he became the president of the local branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
He rose to the position of president of the national organization in 1986, but in 1988, the union was briefly banned and Iyayi was detained, in that same year he won the Commonwealth Prize for Literature for his book Heroes. He was later removed from his faculty position.

Nairaland / General / Seun Osewa, Have You Been Sanctioned Before? by Coefficient(m): 8:34pm On Nov 04, 2013
I have been on this forum for quite sometime now and seen a lot. I have never been banned before (I'm not a regular poster; more like an observer) and not keen to be banned. It's not like it scares me but I don't like breaking rules. But then if I run afoul of any and I'm banned, well, no problem.

Now, my question is to you Seun. Despite being the owner of Nairaland, have you been banned before? Do you think you have never breached your own rules enough to warrant a ban?

This has been on my mind for quite a while; just had time to post it. Has anyone thought of this?

NB: I don't mean this in a bad way.

Taking a cue doesn't mean you should be them. You're very likely to be in your early twenties so I understand your frustration with the male folk. But I'm quite sure you've got males in your family so stop hurting cos a dude once broke your heart.

I don't throw words around with people on this forum but I just had to comment on your bitterness. It pervades all your posts that has to do with guy. Darn!
