^^ This guy sef,you no dey tire? |
^^wrong!Obama is still coming back in 2012 nothing can hold us down. The latest job figures show a little improvement & if we continue on this path Obama should still be in the white house come 2012 |
emmatok:Huh |
coogar: at least now you know he's worth more than a millionhttp://www.bunibuni.com/index.php/theatre/385-jim-iyke-arrested-in-abuja-forced-to-remove-tinted-windows-of-his-car
|
^^ why do you think so?Forget what they're paid for movies & think of endorsements. Some of these folks have been in this game since the late 90's |
@Coogar,i'm not.I'm in the business of borrowing so I should know. You can be worth a 100 million and still have an overdrawn account as long as it doesn't exceed 90 days you'll be just fine |
I wonder how some of you think. This post was made in 2009,the poster is now 21 & the girlfriend (if they're still together) is now 20.So what gives |
I'm waiting to see what Tayo-D has to say about all these |
justwise:That's the most painful part of the whole thing. These tea party crazies feel the pinch like every other american but would prefer to suffer in silence than voice their frustration |
denzel2009:That is not true.the only source of a nollywood movie today is via Nollywoodlove (I think)& he pays royalties to the marketers which in turn are paid to the actor/actresses |
coogar:You're missing the point here. You could be earning millions and still have an overdrawn account. All a bank needs to know is your fiscal credibility and they'll be willing to loan you money more often on a short term basis |
playboy19:bottomline is they're not as poor as make them to be & I insist these folks are earning big,& I should know.I also insist you know nothing about nothing so please remain quiet, ignorance is not bliss |
Blame the downgrade on the tea party nutters who want nothing but to see Obama out of office. How can you insist on a deficit reduction without a commensurate increase on the Bush tax cuts for the super rich |
emmatok:See the above |
Even the subject of debate is no push over. She has paid her dues Mercy Johnson (N55 million) When many argued whether there would be another star like Genevieve, along came the fierce and hot Mercy Johnson. At the moment she remains the most controversial actress in Nollywood. The movie, The Maid, was not enough to woo Nollywood fans to her, but 19 Mackaulay Street revealed her to be the latest Nollywood revelation. Since then she has never looked back. Many argue that the tens of movie scripts that come her way are due to the fact that she’s is not a glo ambassador, but the actresses does not see it that way. In the past three years she appeared in more movies than any other Nollywood actress. By 2008 Mercy Johnson had appeared in fifteen movies and earned N11.4 million from movies alone. The following year, she earned N13 million and she featured in the Emen Isong hit movie Guilty Pleasures. She is also an investor in properties and she is about to complete two houses at the moment. She also owns about six landed properties in lagos. |
^^Guy i'm in no mood to argue with you.You know nothing about nothing so let's leave at that |
playboy19:I think you folks are the jokers, these folks are earning big.Don't underrate the Nollywood industry |
Genevieve Nnaji (N64 million) An icon in her own world, a screen goddess and the queen of Nollywood, many describe her as an industry of her own. The Best AMAA Actress in a Leading Role in 2005, Genevieve Nnaji is arguably the most popular actress in the Nigerian make-believe movie industry called Nollywood. She has over 10,000 registered fans on her website genevievennaji.ning.com and receives about 3,000 letters from fans all over the world every week. In September 2009 American mega television talk show host Oprah Winfrey named her one of the 100 most famous people in the world. She is also by far the highest paid actress per movie and the first to earn a million naira in a single movie. By 2009 she raised the bar and she was paid $25,000 in the block buster international hit movie IJE produced by Chineze Anyaene. A model and also a singer, in 2004 she became the Face of Lux and subsequently was involved with Pronto beverage and omo detergent. The following year she released her debut album Longolongo in Ghana, which saw her prove her versatile talents to her adoring fans all over the world. Between 2004 and 2006 she earned a whooping of N31.3 million. Major part of the money N14.7 million came from her two-year deal with Lux ($100,000). With no great interest in real estate she decided to dive into the fashion industry. She launched her clothing line St. Genevieve in 2008 which is presently being managed by fashion icon Zizi Cardow. St.Genevieve is reportedly worth N20 million. There is no doubt that she would have been topping this list with a great margin if she eventually got the Glo deal. She became the first to be contacted by Globacom, but she demanded N50 million while globacom wanted to sign her on for N30 million. She’s reported to have tried later to salvage the deal, but she had already lost it. |
denzel2009:Kate Henshaw-Nuttall (N67 million) Humble and hardworking, she is what one may call the silent millionaire. She became one of the actresses to try out other ventures. Spared by the tabloids’ bashing, the African Movie Academy 2008 Best Actress winner has graced the screen of Nigerian television like an amazon. The screen star who also has an 8-year old daughter, Gabrielle, is a business woman to the core. Although she often appears classy, she spends wisely on what she wears and only travels abroad for business rather than pleasure. She does not drive very expensive cars and she lives a purely average and normal life. The Cross River-born star has her own company which specialises in different businesses but with blas in real estate. She currently has three buildings and several landed properties scattered all over the country. By 2006 she had earned N10 million and the following year, she reached N12 million. She has never looked back since then. The warm and beautiful star is also a model, presently a Glo Ambassador and face of Onga (brand from Promasidor) and has since earned a whopping N20 million between 2008 and 2010. Plans are also underway for her to commence the production of her own movies. |
^^The 'stars' earn up to a million per role even more,so it aint that bad from the look of things |
coogar:Eh!Naija stars you dey diss like dis?maintain your lane o! ![]() Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson spent the Valentine’s Day weekend in Liberia. Mercy caused a major frenzy when she arrived at the Roberts International Airport in Monrovia. The star who travelled with members of her team including her manager and publicists was welcomed by press photographers, airport officials and airline staff, many of whom rallied around to take photos and get autographs from the Nigerian star. During her time in Monrovia, Mercy gave interviews to a cross-section of local press including Magic FM, Truth FM and Sky TV. A special event was organized in her honour, this was an opportunity for Mercy to meet and connect with her Liberian fans. It was an exciting trip for the Nigerian star and definitely highlights the Pan African and global potential for Nollywood to become Nigeria’s most relevant cultural export. Now that she is back on Nigerian soil, Mercy is dishing out something new to fans. She has just released a brand new set of promotional photographs and BellaNaija.com has the exclusive scoop. cap28:Sorry bro but you can't study a man.A woman can fake an o*rgasm but a man can fake an entire relationship |
The rebuttal by the Akindayomi family is more of an attempt to save face & ameliorate the humiliation that the petition is likely to cause in the RCCG ministry. Were these not comments made by the same pastor Titi in 2009; However, a member of RCCG in New York told Saharareporters that Pastor Titi frequently expresses concern the abandonment of the family and this source pointed us to the pastor's Facebook page where she made an entry on July 14, 2009 to the effect that, “Someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.”. This source disclosed to our correspondent that Pastor Titi's entry was an indirect reference to the fact that Pastor Adeboye was basking in the glory whose foundation was made by her father. A classic case of talking from both sides of the mouth |

Update on the jet debacle; Soulja Boy celebrated his 21st birthday by making a large purchase: a private jet. Well today RadarOnline is reporting that Soulja owes more than $26,000 in taxes! The back taxes are owed in California since a tax lien was filed against him in March. This is all after his Georgia house was foreclosed last year. If that isn’t bad enough, TMZ is reporting that reps for Soulja claim that he did NOT purchase the private jet and it was all just a publicity stunt. Read the full story about the tax lien and what his rep said after the jump. According to official documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, the State of California filed a $26,805 tax lien against the singer on March 24, 2011. He also owed the State of Mississippi $3,571 in back taxes but he paid the full amount just last week on July 22, 2011. In other unfortunate news, his home in Georgia was foreclosed on last year, according to the Detroit News Tax Watchdog blog. RO Soulja Boy, along with several members of his inner circle, perpetuated a lie about purchasing a $55 million G5 jet. At least that’s what a spokesperson for Soulja is now saying. Now, Soulja’s “spokesperson” Greg Miller has issued a statement on behalf of the rapper, saying the “elaborate rumors” are “not true.” TMZ http://www.inflexwetrust.com/2011/07/30/soulja-boy-owe-26000-in-taxes-reps-deny-he-brought-private-jet/ |
