^^Now why would I want to ridicule you? To what purpose?I don't even know you. What you just exhibited is a common trait with Nigerians. When you try to correct them they simply fly into a fit; 'do you think you're better than me?' 'look at this small boy,you want to teach me my job?' 'you have no respect for your elders abi'. Reh,reh, reh, bla, bla, bla. So no surprises there

Nigerians are always quick to jump into conclusion. This is supposed to be an interview where even a well trained 1st class material is likely to fumble. I could remember my first interview experience. If the interviewer had asked me my name on that day i would have fumbled not to talk of spelling ENCOUNTER.

So, it could probably be interview tension. But, one cannot conclude until further investigation or insight is provided
Abeg leave mata. What kind of interview fright would affect you so much, you can't even express yourself properly?

This is a step in the right direction by the minister.Be that as it may, I am hard pressed to call this action a sack, more like a redeployment.

Vanguard investigation revealed that the embattled CEO is now to work in the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, Abuja head office, where he would be monitored closely.

@Op you sound very much like the 'i'm the head of this house & I have my wife's permission to say so' kinda person.Yes she very much taking you for granted. It's not so much the fact that you had to vacate your room for her sis;professor or not,it's the fact that she did not divulge this information to you on time in a bid to give you ample time to make the necessary arrangements like buying a new bed etc, etc.
I'm sure your wife's sister must have made her feelings known about the visit & your wife must have waved it off with an 'it doesn't matter,he won't mind after all I run the place'.If you don't start putting your foot down now & stamping your authority,i'm sorry you don't have a prayer

What will you do? Insult me like you have done so many times before now? That seems what your"PEDIGREE" shows you capable of.  Are you going to attack me like so about 10,000 others , including your person, who have gone through here have done and failed before now(wonder why no one seems to learn it does not accomplish much else but reveal how low-thinking the one throwing the insults can be), for having a differing opinion? You have some serious growing up to do there . .

In as much as I find your comment distasteful & your grammar detestable,I dare say there is a modicum of truth in what you have just said.I have never seen a more anti-progressive set of people in my entire life & sojourn on this earth. No love for one another, just pure hatred, wickedness, evil &diabolic thoughts, pestilence, retrogression, did I mention wicked?
Take these two senile fools for instance that are the subject of the thread. Both of em had the opportunity to place Nigeria on the world map,yet they chose to plunder & pillage the country.Crippling the economy & leaving it in a comatose state, impoverishing the rest of us.Yet they walk about freely & still have the audacity to insult our intelligence with their opprobrium. This can only happen in the black race,no other race would tolerate this type of unbridled 'in your face' arrogance.I dey vex
Car TalkRe: Is Drunk Driving A Crime In Nigeria? by cold(m): 12:16pm On Aug 21, 2011
Nigerian DUI Laws
By Michael Wolfe, eHow Contributor

Nigeria has several laws related to driving under the influence.
Nigeria is infamous for having some of the most dangerous driving conditions in the world. A major oil-producing country, Nigeria's gasoline is exceedingly cheap, allowing many poor residents the ability to drive. However, the poor quality of Nigeria's roads, as well as the lack of enforcement of penalties against drunk driving, has led to a large number of accidents.

Driving under Alcohol/Drug Influence
According to the Tropical Journal of Pharmaceutical Research, Nigeria has a single law against drunk driving. Under the country's federal traffic code, all individuals who are under the influence "to the extent as to be incapable of having proper control of the vehicle" shall be penalized. However, as the article points out, unlike most other countries, Nigeria does not specify a specific blood alcohol level that individuals cannot surpass while driving. The authors of the article argue that this makes it nearly legally impossible for authorities to successfully prosecute an individual for drunken driving, as they have no legal definition of impairment.

Dangerous Driving
According to the Federal Road Safety Commission, Nigeria's reigning authority on driving and traffic laws, the country also has a statute against "dangerous driving." However, like the law against drunken driving, this law is relatively subjective. According to Chinedu Vincent Akuta, writing in Nigeria's "Daily Sun" newspaper, authorities seldom enforce these laws, leading to a high number of accidents.

State Laws
While the federal law against the consumption of alcohol while driving is vague and poorly enforced, several Nigerian state governments have taken action to stem the accidents caused by drunk driving. According the African news website All Africa, in April 2010, Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue state declared that local and national law enforcement officials had been authorized to penalize anyone who consumes alcohol at motor parks and attempts to operate a vehicle. However, alcohol consumption while outside of motor parks remained largely legal.

Reform
Calls both international and local have come for Nigeria to more strictly enforce their DUI laws. According to the Tropical Journal of Pharmaceutical Research, the implementation of a law that clearly spelled out the legal blood alcohol content limit of drivers would lead to fewer traffic accidents. An opinion piece in the Daily Sun also calls for stricter penalties and the regular implementation of breathalyzer tests for drivers in accidents

The Lagos SG should approve tougher sanctions for landlords whose buildings collapse as well as enact tough building plans to checkmate this recurrent problem of collapsed buildings. Some of these landlords have no regard for human lives, they use the cheapest & 'fakest' building materials & charge some skyscraping rents.
