Araboy:I might be slow but you sure are slower to ascribe cheating to colour. What kind of floor where you dropped on as child? |
Araboy:Arrant nonsense!Just goes to show how little you know about the issues at stake here. The issue is not just about polygamy but infidelity as a whole.Methinks infidelity is the Caucasians' stock in trade. You ever wonder why divorce cases are increasing at an exponential rate in the west? I'm leaning towards Richvkunt and Dayo's school of thought here.Though I wouldn't say 'all' men but 99.9999% of men would cheat on their spouses/gfriends etc if the opportunity presents itself. This is an incontrovertible fact,no point pretending otherwise |
Saudi Arabia beheads 3 Nigerians Mohammed Ismail, Abdulqudus Adam and Mohammed Kabir Ali broke into the house of Omar Mohammed Adam where they beat him and his wife, tied them down and strangled Omar to death. Three Nigerians were yesterday beheaded in Saudi Arabia. They had been found guilty of robbing and murdering fellow Nigerian, Omar Mohammed Adam. This was announced by the Saudi Interior Ministry and publicised by the official SPA news agency. Mohammed Ismail, Abdulqudus Adam and Mohammed Kabir Ali broke into the house of Omar Mohammed Adam where "they beat him and his wife, tied them down and strangled Omar to death," the statement said. Then they burgled their compatriot's home, it added. The beheadings in the western Red Sea city of Jeddah brings the number of executions in that country to 31 since January 1. On June 10, London-based watchdog Amnesty International called on Saudi Arabia to stop applying the death penalty, saying there had been a significant rise in the number of executions in the previous six weeks. According to Amnesty, 15 people were executed in May alone. In 2009, the number of executions was 67, compared to 102 the previous year. Rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking are all punishable by death under Saudi Arabia's strict interpretation of Islamic sharia law. Ibime:Is this sarcasm or you being real?Is this how you're going to mourn the loss of a child (Heaven forbid). We have no problem with flying to the Bahamas or even Mars but then uploading pics of yourself having mad fun in the prevailing circumstances is simply bang out of order! |
^^Wrong! In this day & age there's every need to be cautious about what you leave online cuz it might just come back to haunt you

Bomb Blast In Suleija Niger State Kills Three The All Christian Fellowship Church in Suleja, Niger State was bombed today leading to the death of three people at the center. Details and motive of the bombing are scanty, but Saharreporters recently revealed that Suleja has become one of the operational base of Boko Haram sect. The city is about one hour drive from Nigeria's federal capital territory, Abuja. http://saharareporters.com/news-page/bomb-blast-suleija-niger-state-kills-three |
If I were her boss i'd do the same. You apply for a break to deal with the loss of a child, you fly to the Bahamas to 'cool off',then upload pics of yourself lounging with Bacardi on ice on FB.Haba! whatever happened to common sense |
While i'm not in support of the killing of civilians;how can you tell one from the other? This group is not like a conventional army with uniforms & badges. They blend well with 'civilians' thus making the job of security agents even harder |
true.Where are the likes of BJ pumping,Fokasibe etc.Though we never got along but they really spiced up this section |
Kobojunkie:Huh!I really can't fathom why you're always in the habit of parrying shots for the US government. Is this the new kind of buttlicking? But The Wall Street Journal now reports that the U.S. might get involved in those negotiations directly: Senior White House and military officials believe that engaging some levels of the Taliban — while excluding top leaders — could help reverse a pronounced downward spiral in Afghanistan and neighboring Pakistan. Both countries have been destabilized by a recent wave of violence. The outreach is a draft recommendation in a classified White House assessment of U.S. strategy in Afghanistan Back to topic: I'm also against any negotiation with the undermentioned group,it simply spurs other groups to tow a similar line & subsequently request for amnesty or negotiations |
Hmmm, interesting.I've got some ideas that might help him |
53 killed in Democratic Republic of Congo plane crash At least 53 people were killed when a plane carrying 112 people crashed in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Boeing 727 came down around 820ft from Kisangani airport in the north east of the central African country, where it was due to land. There were differing reports about the number of survivors, with the government claiming 40 people had been pulled alive from the wreckage, while the airline said at least 53 survived. The regional commercial airline which operates the plane, Hewa Bora, is – along with other DRC airlines – on a European Union blacklist meaning it is banned from flying into European airspace because of concerns about its air safety record. A director of the firm later claimed at least 53 people survived the crash. Hewa Bora, which means Fresh Air in Swahili, operates two Boeing 727s, the last of which was delivered in 1984. This is the third crash in three years of one of its planes. In 2008, a 31-year-old DC-9 airliner suffered an engine fire shortly after take-off and ploughed into a residential suburb of the eastern city of Goma, killing 44 people, most of them on the ground. In a statement on its website, Hewa Bora said the latest crash also appeared to be caused by "very bad weather". Stavros Papaioannou, the chairman and CEO of Hewa Bora Airways, said the plane left the Congolese capital, Kinshasa, two and a half hours before the crash, just before 3pm local time (1pm GMT). "I confirm the crash of one of our planes," he said. "The pilot tried to land but apparently they didn't touch the runway." Lambert Mende, a government spokesman, said the plane crashed just short of the airport. Last night, it was unclear if anyone on the ground had been killed. "It was due to the thunder," he said. "We have already helped take out at least 40 survivors and the rescue operation is ongoing." Mr Papaioannou later said: "We don't know how many people are dead but there are at least 53 survivors from a total 112 passengers and personnel crew." The DRC has one of the worst air safety records in the world, partly due to the sector's many decaying, Soviet-era planes. Religious Las Vegas III: The Hypocrisy Of Greed By Olumide Goodness Adeyinka It was a fully packed auditorium with all shades of people with different economic powers and background, and education. The Bishop who is to speak has just been introduced after a thunderous ovation heralding a contemporary piece of music from the choir. As soon as the Bishop got up to mount the stage, it was with pomp and pageantry of a royal entrance. Five persons actually got up to accompany the Man of God (M.O.G) to the stand to preach to the massive crowd that have waited to hear this ‘great man’ speak to their ‘destiny’. Those five guys were hefty enough to suggest they are paid security personnel that have no assignment than to look stern and frightening to keep surge of people away from their principal. Two minutes after he got to the pulpit, the shouting and the jumping was still as fresh as when he got up. It was so obvious to any outsider that a superstar is in the midst of a conquered people who see him more or less as the one who has the key to their hope and faith. Please follow me into this great service of “deliverance and breakthrough”. The speaker cleared his throat and shouted from a deep voice specially rehearsed to echo around the microphone and the speakers feeding into the sets of Amplifiers. Please lets be quiet and listen to the preacher called Papa. Raise your hands above your head and give God the glory somebody. Alleluia! Put your hands together to the king of kings and the Lord of lords. Please take your Bible, raise it up and say this after me. I believe the Bible as the word of God, and will do whatever it tells me to do as a direct instruction from God. My life shall be ruled by it and I will not question God on its logicality. I am ready today to take my destiny and run with faith to acquire what God had designed for my life. I receive grace to obey the divine instruction coming my way today; I will obey and prosper beyond measure. Amen. Please take your beautiful seats in His presence. Before I preach on a message I titled “The faith for Breakthrough” it will be proper for me to appreciate my very good friend and Bishop of the house – Apostle Bleep. A man of faith and power anointed for this end time. A man I am proud to call a friend and brother. Please put your hands together for the man of God. Thank you and take your seat. I shall be speaking to you on “The faith for Breakthrough” but more than speaking or preaching; I will like to give you a fresh testimony to strengthen your faith and prepare you for your own breakthrough today. How many of you believe God will visit you beyond your dreams in this service? If you believe, shout alleluia. I have been traveling all over the place this last two weeks. I left Nigeria for Canada, preached in three churches over a weekend, then crossed to United States of America for so many preaching engagements before I left for Europe. I finally came directly from England to be with you this morning. In all of these places, I could tell you of testimonies of God’s abundant provisions in people’s lives as they obey God’s instruction for breakthrough. However, I will tell you of the one that happened few hours ago before I left England. A man in his forties accosted me in the airport and wanted me to hear him out. The security personnel provided by my host would not until I eventually beckoned for him. He introduced himself but I could not recollect him. He finally told me his story. He was in one of my meetings in England two years ago and sowed a ‘dangerous seed’ into our ministry then based on the commandment I had from God to release people from poverty by their response to “faith seed”. He actually emptied his bank account and went bare financially due to his obedience. He now told me that since that time God had shown up in his business so powerfully that he now runs a Multimillion Dollar Merchandise Industry. He was rolling all over the place and subsequently put an envelope in my hands to honor God and His servant. As soon as he did that, the Holy Spirit prompted me to lay hands on him to take him to the next level and I did. I released anointing oil on him and the power of God smote him flat on the pavement. It was in my jet that I actually opened the envelope to see a cheque of One hundred thousand dollars. Then I thought that must be the reason the Holy Spirit spoke. That is a good seed. Lift your hands and shout Alleluia. The main reason why you are where you are is because you are yet to understand how to process your own breakthrough. The only thing breakthrough responds to is great seed. Outside of your ‘seed’ you cannot reap a harvest. Today is not a day to speak for long but to demonstrate your appetite to obeying God’s word and instruction. Let me share a scripture with you and I will give you your own opportunity to sow a faith seed to get a breakthrough. Open your Bibles to Ecclesiastes Chapter Eleven, verses one, four and six (Eccl.11: 1, 4 and 6) For those of you who have no faith, the first verse of that scripture actually addresses you. I quote “Cast your bread upon the waters, For you will find it after many days” The reason why faith has not worked for you is because you are too logical for God. God wants you to ‘kill’ your logic and reasoning. God cannot owe you anything. If you sow, you will always reap in God. Get ready! There are some who have faith but situations seems so tight and it is just difficult to exercise their faith again. Verse number four of our text now says to you; “He who observes the wind will not sow, And he who regards the clouds will not reap.” The devil is so cunning that he brings bad situations around you so that you will not be able to sow yourselves out of poverty. I want you to resist the devil right here today and get ready to shake yourselves away from lack. Finally, there are those who have obeyed God in the past and are now wearied of sowing because they believe they have not reaped from the past. Here is a word of God for you in verse six, and I quote “In the morning sow your seed, And in the evening do not withhold your hand; For you do not know which will prosper, Either this or that, Or whether both alike will be good” It is a trickery of the enemy to frustrate you especially when you are at the verge of breakthrough. Banish that thoughts in you and get ready to sow your seed for breakthrough now. I want everybody to rise on his or her feet, close your eyes and just respond to my call. Remember, the size of your seed determines the level of your harvest. If you are here and you know you can sow a seed of One million naira and above, please raise your hands… If you can sow a seed of One hundred thousand and above, please raise your hands… Everybody needs to sow. Please if you know you can sow a breakthrough seed of fifty naira and above, raise you hands also…. Let me pray a prayer of breakthrough for you. Close your eyes …… The Bishop ended the service with millions of naira sown by people who are hungry for breakthrough. There is going to be another convention next year and another Bishop will be guest speaker with another ‘seeding’ message. May God deliver my gullible brethren, Amen. The psychology behind the whole process of gratifying their lusts is embedded in disarming their victims with testimonies that are coated with exaggerations and sometimes outright lies. The greedy congregants also bought into the lies because there is an abyss of lust in their throats. The deceiver and the deceived suffering from the same hypocrisy of lust called greed. This is the mold and the frame upon which the message of prosperity is based. The scriptures used might be different but the scenario is almost the same wherever you go. The culture of rat racing in our psyche has actually sold us out as slaves of our belly. We look for magicians in the name of Men of God who acclaim to be so anointed that they can arm twist God and give you what heavens has not given you. This is not to say it is impossible to get what God has not given, because Nigeria society is full of evidential examples of rogues, saboteurs, politicians and public servants who have stolen with the aid of prayers of covering from Men of God just to prove that they are anointed. They encourage the exercise by aiding and abetting, and never disapproved of the wrong doings in our society. Wake up people of God and take back your salvation from crooks. Most of the messages on prosperity are simply hypocritical and borne out of greed. May God deliver the Church of Christ We shall prevail. NYSC rejects corps members’ request for reposting Requests of scores of members of the National Youth Service Corps scheme, who wanted their deployment to Borno changed, were turned down by the national secretariat of the scheme yesterday in Abuja. Most of the youth corps members came from the southern part of the country to seek redeployment to other states they considered safe. The gates of the secretariat were locked, while an officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the national headquarters had stopped granting concessionary posting. The source stated that postings would now be handled by state coordinators. In a statement which expatiated on the posting, the NYSC said “in the wake of the recent post-election disturbances, the Director-General waived all due process to expedite action on relocation requests’’. This line of action appeared to have encouraged other youth corps members from all the 36 States and the FCT to daily flood the D-G’s office seeking relocation for flimsy of reasons, the statement noted. NYSC members wishing to be redeployed from Borno, Jigawa, Taraba, Imo and Bauchi states were attended to on Monday. However, any corps member who declines to report at the posting state before midnight on Thursday will have to repeat his or her service year, according to the statement. texazzpete:Sigh!Once again let me reiterate unequivocally & categorically just in any event it flew over your head the first time.I have absolutely no qualms with Islamic banking or non-interest banking whatever pseudonym they choose to call it after all it is supposed to bring in much needed investment into the country. The scepticism a lot of people have with this project is based on fear as a result of deeply entrenched acrimony following years of religious strife which has seen some of the most brutal & gruesome murders known to man committed for the sake of religion. Thus anything with a religious tag is viewed with suspicion. If this is too difficult for you to grasp,i'm sorry I can't help you |
Young man i'm not interested in your history lesson.I'm talking about the now not some 16th century hogwash you're trying to introduce into the discourse |
I see you're hell bent on holding to your opinion irrespective of a superior argument so i'll just let you alone.FYI,I did not vote anyone in if that's where you're driving at |
texazzpete:Where did I state that Islamic banking was wrong?I only pointed out that based on a protracted history of animosity between the major religious groups, people now have a well founded fear of anything with religious connotation.Except you want to feign ignorance & act like you've been living on Mars then you can continue with your pseudo intelligent argument |
You may have a point there but these are the reasons why some people are genuinely scared of anything with Islamic appendage & you really can't blame them:
|
texazzpete:I'd strongly urge you to restrain yourself & stop making 'brainless' comments. You sit in your little corner halfway round the globe & pontificate on issues you know next to nothing about. All these arm chair professors sef.If you've ever lost a loved one or had your house razed to the ground or that beautiful Range you worked so hard to buy set ablaze with you only managing to escape by the skin of your teeth you'd have a different impression when anything with the Islam appendage is mentioned. |
The only reason why this bank whatever name you wanna call it is raising so much dust is because of the animosity & acrimony between the two major religious groups. The two warring groups have grown so intolerant of the other over the years that anything said or done by the other party is viewed with suspicion.Ordinarily, this bank would have been welcome with open arms in other countries but in a country that has witnessed some of the most gruesome & brutal murders, not to talk of wanton destruction of properties all in the name of Allah you can't blame the Christians for feeling the way they do about the establishment of this bank. Furthermore, there are genuine fears in some quarters that this bank may become a conduit pipe for channelling funds to extremist groups such as Boko Haram & even Al Qaeda cells in the country. There's too much at stake here. |
tpia@:Not good enough my dear. You need to shed more light on why spicing up ones life with variety is regarded as 'suffering',I thought it was the other way round.I mean why stick to ewedu, when you can have ewedu, gbegiri, efo, obe ata etc eh? |
Seun:Sanusi was appointed on the 3rd of June 2009 & his tenure is to run for 5 years in the first instance & subject to renewal based on the discretion of the president |

Da Doctor:It's obvious you must have been dropped on a concrete floor as a child |
I knew it would come to this.Insanity plea |
Jon.Bee:What a load of tosh! What about so called sharia states receiving allocations from alcohol permissible states?Did that fly over your head?Is that not a sacrilege according to you,or you choose which laws to abide to & which ones to disregard? |
cvibe:Is not an issue of whether she's complaining or not.Health wise obesity is ill advised |
