Yujin: Lol. Wetin concern Biafra with Lesotho? Any Igbo man that things the way you do simply argues that Igbos can't govern better than those that have been running Nigeria. Tell me one good thing Nigeria has excelled in? Impostor Gerrara here men! If there was something special about igbos governing better. It would be evident in the east by now |

Seerade029: But the truth is, If biafra exit.
The the whole country will dissolve. Everyone will go to his or her way.
But, if biafra prefer to be like Lesotho, then I can say it's not advisable cos the disadvantages are more than the advantages.
The grass is not greener at the other side. The if Biafra exits Nigeria will be no more might just be a speculation u know. What if it happens and Nigeria remains? |

Seerade029: I'm not getting you clearly. Explain why biafra is not viable?? Theres no difference between Biafra and lesotho. If I start listing out the disadvantage of Biafra it might exhaust me. But just observe that Biafra and Lesotho are small countries similar in size trapped inside a bigger and richer country. Do u know that Lesotho is so poor that its armed personnel as a whole is not up to 4000. The country is so fvcked to the extent that they have been pushing for south Africa to annex them as one of its states or regions. Because to them they see no reason being a country Must we wait till we fall victim to the same mistake that's irreversible before we get wise?

So many people dont realize how powerful Nigeria is, thanks to our population and the system of government we practice, ensures everybody is carried along.
Can u imagine that the moment Nigerian sponsors pulled out of Big brother Africa, that was the end of it.
Nigeria has single handedly held its own Big brother over and over again and we are about to do another when alot of African countries can't even hold one, even the Ghana and Rwanda a lot of u always talk about havent held one before, even south Africa discontinued theirs. This alone tells u that Nigeria is a very viable country.
The amount of money Mtn and Dstv makes in Nigeria alone, is like 5african countries combined.
Anybody who says its our population should know that Democratic Republic of Congo is one of Africa's most populous countries with over 120million people yet they don't come close.
Me personall I know that if not for the wasteful Years of the military regimes, if our democracy had not been truncated, by now I am not sure even Egypt would come close.
And some people want to leave this Gods gift to us to go and suffer... Una never know wasup |

Unlike tbag hammerp.
Well, I think all governors are exploring their mineral resources In their respective states.
A quick check on Nigeria Stock Exchange, you'll see the minerals.
Then I've been to Sokoto b4, there land is not that fertile but the way, mineral resources is been extracted there is massive, apart from their Hot Sun.
Same to Jos. Yeah, you guys import alot which you'll need large market to trade. Well, majority of my Igbo friends don't subscribe to biafra, cos of what they stand to lose (Their business) The business is not the issue, Biafra is not viable. Its going to end up like another poor African country. Imagine leaving the giant of Africa, that single handedly ended the sierra Leone wars, and Liberian civil war, when the western countries looked away, so u can become another poor African country. Just because u want to carry a different international passport. And the passport will be worst than the Nigerian passport I bet u, except my people over night change their ways |

afube: do not talk like an uneducated person, what is relevant that people will come back with knowledge and skills, they will come back with economic and social demands that will need satisfaction like food ,shelter and clothes.....that will be the initial challenge but therein lies the new opportunities for growth. for Nigeria it will be a loss of economic demand and supply.........so it will not be easy for them also......!!! what follows will be trade negotiation based on the reality on ground. Finally I get a worthy oponenet to discuss this, since you claim to be educated... All these knowledge and skills, since they exist now, what's stopping these people from utilizing it to develop the east? Economic and social demands that will need satisfaction, like food, shelter, and clothes, amongst all these things I dont think the east is a producer of any... We are a marginal producer of food, therefore we would be heavily reliant on import diminishing our foreign reserve, shelter we only have one limestone deposit at ithink Enugu, what's stopping our leaders from utilizing it? Most of the textiles used to produce the clothes are sourced from North. We are at a disadvantage here, this disadvantage will become very visible after the break up. That apart the east is not known to really produce we are more of an entrepot for the rest of Nigeria |

oyatz: If resource control is implemented SUDDENLY in 2020, it will lead to national crisis.
Only about 12 States will be able to cope (the first 5 largest oil producing States will do very well).
About 24 States will face serious economic crisis that each State will reduce it workforce to just about 1000 people.
There will be massive emigration from Most States into Delta, Rivers, Bayelsa, Ondo,Lagos and Imo States in an unprecedented rate while many citizens from Osun, Kogi, Anambra, Enugu, Kwara etc will find all means to leave the country, even if it's to Togo, Cameroon or Ghana.
Lagos, Rivers and Cross River States will demand for 'Financial resource control' of revenues from their seaports.
After about the first two years, the Governments of each non-oil producing States will start imposing heavy taxes on the few items that their States produce for the oil producing States e.g the smallest cattle from Kano, Katsina or Yobe State will be about #300,000.
Eggs and Timber from Osun State will become very expensive.
Yams from Benue States being sold in Rivers or Edo State will be like #1000 per tuber. Ondo and Osun States will go back to Massive cocoa Farming.
Kano, Katsina, Sokoto will commence massive cultivation of Cotton, groundnuts, Onions, Tomatoes for exportation.
Corruption and crimes rates in the non-oil producing States will reduce drastically because money will be so scarce and the electorates will transfer alot of aggression onto their Governors and politicians. 90% of the Governors will not win their re-election.
Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB will become less popular and Biafra agitations will fizzle out.
Gov Wike will become more dictatorial and proud to the extent that he will suggest that fences will be erected around the boundaries of Rivers State and other oil producing States will support this suggestion and will want to try it.
If the inconveniences are well managed with maturity, after about 5-7 years, we will all get over it and the country will be better of it.
If the inconveniences are not well managed, it can lead to change in Government or even civil war/disintegration. All u said here u didn't mention anything of how the igbos are going to survive |

Igbo land actually lost more numbers to slave trade (over 1.4m) than to the war but yet were still the most populated southern tribe for several decades after the slave trade. Reason it was like that was they used to group us all together, both eastern igbos and SS Igbos were counted as one body |
