@henroo2003 i think you should try and redeploy once you get to camp... maybe an excuse that your wife is pregnant might be accepted, am not sure tho but a trial is not a crime. You can also ask other people for advise. Thanks @winnieomaji try redeploying but what state would you want to move to ? @udohrlucky yes i think it is allowed. Which teaching hospital? |
No, until you get to camp before you can process the redeployment. You'll probably be given a form and you will state that its due to marriage reasons. You might be required to attach your marriage certificate |

Spending eight to ten hours in an office is a norm for many and when you spend so much time with your colleagues, it’s important to showcase basic good manners/etiquette. The way you behave and conduct yourself at your workplace is the key factor that decides how your colleagues respond to you. Since small space of cubicles makes it difficult to have any sort of privacy, people should learn to be more respectful and polite. Below are given some tips that will help you improve your office etiquette: Rule #1 Be Punctual: It’s not a crime to be late once in a while, if something unavoidable comes up, but do not make coming to office late you trademark. No will be tolerating such insolent behavior for long. In-addition, never be late for office meeting. Inform your colleague/senior beforehand if you are getting late or will be late. Rule #2 Know Your Colleagues: No one is asking you to know everything about your colleagues. But you certainly can take some time to know their names. Remember, you will be sharing office space with them, so it would not kill you to be nice. Also, take time to say hello to co-workers, next time you pass by their work station, smile to nod or acknowledge that you noticed. Rule #3 Mind Your Language: Everything you do during office hours reflects your professional self. Remember, you are at high risk of being caught at your worse behavior in office. So diligently consider about making your professional image. Never swear or use foul language in front of a colleagues or a customer/client. Rule #4 Knock Before Entering Co-worker’s Cabin: If there’s a door in place and by chance it’s closed, then best bet is to knock before you enter. Understand, if someone has closed their cabin door then s/he must be busy and does not want to be disturbed. Barging in unannounced indicates that you do not respect other people’s privacy. It’s enough to give you bad name in any office, so refrain from opening doors without knocking beforehand. Rule #5 Keep Your Personal Opinions to Yourself: It’s not a wise idea to force your ideas or beliefs on people around you especially co-workers. Realize picking fight with co-workers just because they do not show interest in your views is an extremely bad idea, one that will earn you a reputation of a fanatic. Understand, no one likes to be told what to do and what to believe. Rule #6 Be Courteous to One And All: Try to be polite and respectful to one and all in your office, irrespective of their designation. Do not think it’s your prerogative to be rude just because you are talking to an office peon. Respect elders and young co-workers alike. Be nice, helpful and co-operative with colleagues. Rule #7 Do not Misuse Company Property...Company provides workers with office supplies so that they could work without constrains. Refrain from taking home office supplies such as notepads, sticky notes, pen etc. Remember, taking something that someone else’s property without due permission or proper payment is stealing. Also, if you can use company car then it does not automatically gives you right to run personal errands. Some other things that you should refrain from doing during office hours: Never chew bubble gum when in office. Popping bubble gum in front of colleagues only shows how childish you are. Do not shout/scream at people around you to make your point. Do not gossip or take pot shots at co-workers private life. Refrain from hovering around a colleague engaged in a phone talk. Refrain from making sexist or racist comments. Do not blame others for your mistakes, remember you are no longer a three-year-old and it’s not funny. If you are on your way to NYSC orientation camp or you are preparing to go very soon. This article will guide you on NYSC Relocation After Camp; procedures, requirements and reasons (criteria) under which this can be granted. The National Youth Service Corp have put in place relocation based on three main factors:- Marital Ground Health Ground, and recently Security Ground. However, many Corps Members only talk about redeployment if the state of deployment isn’t favorable to them or probably surrounded by life and death threatening situation (Boko haram). For knowledge sake, the three reasons (criteria) for redeployment has been explained below. 1. Marital Ground This condition apply to only female corps members who want to move to the state of residence of their husbands. A corps member who wants to be relocated to another state, should after the Swearing-in Ceremony apply in his/her writing stating why he/she wants to be relocated. The application should be addressed to the Director-General through the State Coordinator. If you are applying on marital ground, you are to attach the following: Marriage Certificate Change of name in any of the National Newspaper A letter from your husband’s office as an evidence that your husband is domiciled in the state you want to relocate to. 2. Medical Ground This is the most abused method. To apply, you will need a medical report from recognized Medical Centre or a recognized General Hospitals, Federal Medical Centres, Military/Police Hospital reports. Note that acclaimed medical case history are subject to further confirmation to establish their authenticity. 3. Security Ground For now, states affected include: Borno, Adamawa, Gombe, Yobe, and other Northern states in that region. The security state of some Northern States of Nigeria has been a major concern in the country and the trend of Boko haram is on the high-rise, most Northern states are not safe anymore and such is why news abound on killings and bombings by Boko haram. Relocation on this condition is usually granted to all Corps Members affected not individually. Depending on the criteria as detailed above, apply through the appropriate authority in your state of deployment and await for approval. Note that fake medical reports attract sanctions. The Arsenal forward took to his Instagram page on Friday night to upload a photo with four close friends as the quintet did some shopping in the capital. Sanchez wrote: “enjoying the evening in London with my friends” Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has been a fantastic signing for Arsenal since his £35m move from Barcelona last summer. The Chilean has been one of the most important players for the Gunners this season helping Arsene Wenger’s side to fight their way to third position on the Premier League table, 13 points behind league leaders Chelsea. Sanchez has scored 14 goals and has made eight assists in 30 Premier League appearances for the north London side this season. First impressions as they always say last longer and can play a major role in how an employer perceives you as a candidate. What you say during the first phase of the interview may make a big difference in the outcome – in a good way or in a bad way. In fact, some hiring managers may make a decision to reject a candidate based on what they didn’t do when they met them. That’s why it’s important to pay attention to interview manners How to Introduce Yourself at a Job Interview When you arrive at the interview site introduce yourself to the receptionist by stating your name and the purpose of your visit. For example: “My name is Adeyeloja Femi and I have an interview scheduled with ------ at 2 pm.” You will either be escorted to the interview room or the hiring manager will come out to meet you in the reception area. Again, take the time to introduce yourself so the interviewer knows who you are. Offer to shake hands, even if the interviewer doesn’t offer their hand first. It’s good etiquette to include a handshake as part of your introduction. Tell the interviewer that it is a pleasure to meet them, smile, and be sure to make eye contact. For example: “I’m Adeyeloja Isiaka, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” During the Interview Many hiring managers will start an interview with an open-ended question like “Tell me about yourself.” The core of your response should focus on the key elements in your background which will enable you to excel in the job for which you are interviewing. You should carefully analyze the job prior to the interview so you can point out the interests, skills, experiences, and personal qualities which will enable you to meet or exceed the requirements. Keep it Short Your introduction should be concise enough to hold the interest of the interviewer. Generally, a quick recap of your most compelling qualifications will suffice. You could also throw in a couple of titbits which are not essential to the job, but reflect your persona like the fact that you are an avid skier, have performed at comedy clubs, or collect African art. Your goal is to connect personally with the interviewer as well as to show that you’re qualified for the job. Of course, your initial comments should show your enthusiasm for the job and organization. However, don’t overdo it and don’t spend too much time talking about yourself. The interviewer has an agenda and time is limited, so keep your introduction brief so you can move on to the next question. Follow Up Questions The interviewer may follow up your introduction with more questions, so it’s important to remember that you will need to support whatever assertions you make during your introduction. Be prepared to provide specific examples of how and where you have utilized your assets to successfully carry out work or volunteer roles, academic projects, or other productive endeavors. Manners matter during a job interview. Regardless of the job you are applying for, you will be expected to act professionally throughout every phase of the interview process from greeting the interviewer to saying thank you after your interview. http://www.quickjobng.com/2015/05/how-to-introduce-yourself-at-a-job-interview/ |
The rumble on the boring jibe directed towards Arsenal by Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho continues and this time Arsene Wenger has added his voice in a more polemic manner. In response to Arsenal fans chanting: 'Boring, boring Chelsea', during last weekend's 0-0 draw, Mourinho claimed not winning the Premier League title for 11 years was even more soul ripping. But Wenger has suggested Mourinho must be suffering from 'internal problems' and the Portuguese showed disrespect in his comments. "You can have incidents with other managers sometimes," Wenger said. "It gets a bit heated when you fight directly with them, but in the ...Read more http://www.allsoccerplanet.com/2015/05/wenger-mourinho-is-suffering-from-internal-problems |
It seems I continually hear this complaint, "They aren't hiring me because I'm overqualified. So what should you do if you're credentialed with good experience and advanced education, are looking to become re-employed and are even willing to take a lower-level position? Here are a few tips: Don't Be Tempted to "Dumb Down!" This strategy moves your career backward. You typically end up frustrated, not hired or worse — you find a new job you can't wait to move out of. Most employers today actually want you working at your highest ability level since productivity is key to everyone's success. They also want to retain you past the many months it takes to train you for the job, so you can begin to make a contribution to the company. Do Some Soul Searching and Savvy Preparation Acknowledge that employers are reluctant to hire a person who is overqualified because they think the person is unlikely to be happy, won't stay long, might want the interviewer's job or may expect fast promotion. Remember that you can be threatening to the interviewer, especially if you are truly suited for the interviewer's job! He may think you aren't seriously interested in doing the job for which you're being hired — nor do employers want someone who's burned out or sees the job as an easy paycheck. Examine why you want the position. "I need a job!" is not a response that will endear you to him. You must use your communication skills to convince him why a demotion is a good option. You must create a .... Read more http://www.quickjobng.com/2015/05/things-to-do-when-you-are-overqualified-for-a-job |
Arsenal are set to make their worst start to a Premier League season for the first time in 100 years. The Gunners will start in second position in the 2015/16 season behind newly promoted Championship club AFC Bournemouth all because F comes before R in the alphabets. The English Premier League has rejected a £45m-per-year takeover bid by beer manufacturing company Guinness which amounts to £135m over three years and £5million more than what current sponsors Barclays are offering. Barclays 15 years partnership with the English top flight league ends at the end of next season, but clubs in the division have turned down a new robust offer. It is understood the English top flight clubs, who just secured a ground breaking TV broadcast rights deal with Sky Sports and BT worth over £5billion, rejected the bid from Guinness’ parent company Diageo in part because some teams have conflicting beer deals. Instead, the Premier League want as much as £60m a year from a mega title sponsor but will also examine a multi-partnership commercial model. Source: Allsoccerplanet.com |

Most people don’t know there are advantages using a good Linkedin profile picture. I have listed below some reasons why it is important. Why Profile Head Shot Photos Are Necessary I’ve observed five important reasons to have a good head shot photo visible on your profiles: Credibility To be successful today, most professional jobs require knowledge and skill with social media. Profiles without photos are usually either not very active or just plain out-of-date. And, very few employers want to hire someone who is so demonstrably clueless. In addition, many “spam” social profiles exist to sell products or services or to collect information. Those fake profiles usually either have no photo or the photo is obviously a model or someone extremely attractive in a very professional-looking photo. Recruiters, in particular, don’t want to waste their time with fictional people. Recognition Someone who already knows you from your past, other social media, or a recent networking meeting will, hopefully, recognize that photo and know who you are. Also, that friend from your last job (or the job before that) who is looking for you will find you in the long list of people who have the same — or a very similar — name. Consistency Someone who follows you in other social Read more http://www.quickjobng.com/2015/04/5-reasons-you-must-have-a-photo-in-your-linkedin-profile/ |
You have an important interview coming up. You've done your due diligence, researched the company and have an understanding of the direction they are heading and the challenges they face. Additionally, you have thoroughly studied the position description, identified your key selling points and can speak to ways you will add value to the team. But are you now ready to ace the interview? There are three additional and very practical steps that will prove critical to your success. These take a little preparation and smart planning on your part but they are well worth the effort. Step 1- Get clear on the details Don't be shy about asking the person arranging your interview(s) about the plans for the day. Will you be doing a series of interviews? Will there be a panel interview involved? How long should you anticipate being there? The more you know, the better prepared you will be. (Helpful hint: if they've scheduled you for a long day, bring a couple of high-energy snacks or other foods you can quickly pop into your mouth. You will likely need the additional boost to remain on top of your game.) Step 2 - Do a dry run It is always a good idea to prepare by doing a dry run. Drive by the company a couple of days ahead of time about the same time of day as your actual interview. That way you will know the route and be able to anticipate the traffic patterns you are likely to face. On the actual day, plan to arrive at least 30 minutes ahead of....Read more http://www.quickjobng.com/2015/04/3-unexpected-tips-for-a-winning-job-interview |

Jose Mourinho and his former boss at Barcelona Louis van Gaal come face to face for the second time this season in a blockbuster 5:30pm kick-off Barclays Premier League clash between Chelsea and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. The duo have been friends since they first worked together at Barcelona in 1997 where they enjoyed a successful relationship at the Camp Nou. With Mourinho as the Dutchman’s assistant, they won the La Liga title twice in their first two years together at Nou Camp. It was Van Gaal who entrusted and encouraged Mourinho to go into management. Now the Portuguese has gone on to win titles in his country, England, Italy and Spain as well as the Champions League twice to ink his name in history as one of the best managers to have graced the round-leather game. However, ahead of tomorrow’s explosive encounter at the Bridge, Telegraph columnist and former United defender Gary Neville feels Van Gaal’s greatest pride as a football manager is the making of Jose Mourinho, and he believes the Dutchman will be proud of his friend’s achievements. “A former Tory leader once said when asked what their greatest achievement was: “New Labour”, Neville wrote. “I can imagine Louis van Gaal, when answering the same question from a group of journalists, peering back from his desk and responding: “Mourinho”.
