koladata: And if you marry more than one wife nko, is it her mother's money that you will use to take care of them? Let her go if her mother insist. You can marry a bad wife but you can't marry a bad inlaw. Marrying more than one wife is not a taboo as long as you take care of their daughter. Infact if I was in this position I will tell them yes there pastor may be right. I might marry more than one wife . Women plenty o , no go dey let one mother inlaw control you . Lol...mad ooooo Thanks boss for your advice Too deep and precise |

EmperorCaesar: Why should he go ahead to marry a lady whose mother is against their union. If the girl get ordinary catarrh, the woman go dey shout say dem don use her. Its draining starting a new life with that kind of in-law around him.
How long is he gonna keep up with this? or you think the guy and the MIL will ever like each other in the future after this very patchy beginning?
Thank you for your insightful advice

Romance › I Need Urgent Advice Over My Relationship by collarfreak(op): 1:52pm On Jan 08, 2025 |
Please, Nairalanders, I need your advice so urgently. There is a lady I met close to a year ago in a church, and one thing led to another; we were both in love, and I am ready to marry her as my wife. She introduced me to her parent and vice versa. Her parent accepted me, but after a while, the mother came back and said that she went to pray in her church, and the pastor told her that I am a man with multiple wives and not one. She was so disturbed about this, and she summoned me, and I told her it can never happen that with God at the centre of the marriage, it will not happen.
Now we want to tie the knot early this year, but the mom is still adamant and trying to buy the lady to her side due to the prophecy her pastor told her. The lady stood her ground, but her mom still would not listen that a broken relationship is better than a broken marriage.
Please be aware that the lady parents are also separated, but they communicate. Please, what is your advice for me? |

We are backward in Nigeria. Do you know that if you are a professional driver in Nigeria and travel to Uk you are learner. Not that to drive the car the issue but road signs are frustrating. Only in Nigeria we dont observe road signs but in Uk it is a must or else your driver license would be withdrawn from you. In Nigeria you can drag old with other motorist most especially at roundout but in UK you there not because you have to give priority to the oncoming vehicles. In a nut shell We are not law abiding citizens in Nigeria hotwax: The first time I went to South Africa, I hired a car at the airport. I had paid and received the car key when I realized it’s a right handed car.
I summoned courage started the car, I struggled to use my left hand to position the gear for 15minutes…to compound the issue is the transmission of the car….it’s godamned manual car. The last time I drove a manual car was in my secondary school days…and that was my mums peogeut 504.
I was in one position for 30min…then their rep came to check on me “any problem?” I said I’m cool I’m just setting my map app.
I finally fired the car, the car jumped forward, from their I entered the road like an erratic drunk driver…zooming, jerking and slowing..
Sweating inside the AC.
Then I faced the major road, their roads are tailored for right driving, I first faced one way..thank God I didn’t cause accident.
I quickly calculated that I had to be on the right.
At the end sha…I saw a ticket of 250rands on the cars screen wiper asking me to pay in 48hours..
I nearly hated South Africa because of that |

Thanks so much Opeyemi007: They'll only ask you the basic stuff unless you give a wrong vibe/not answering confidently. Why are you here? Where are you staying? What will you be doing? Thanks for the insightful explanation. Were you asked to show them the cash you have at hand for PTA at the point of entry? Thanks so much sanyaolurilwan: These are the ones I can remember now: 1. Where are you coming from? 2. What are you doing there? Work/business 3. How long will you be staying? 4. Do you have a return ticket? 5. Can I see it? 6. Why are you here? To see my sister 7. What is she doing here? 8. Oh! She's on a **** visa Then she saw my Canadian visa 9: oh you have a Canadian visa? Yes I do 10. How did you get it? My *** is a permanent resident there 11. When are you going to Canada? I don't know yet
Okay: then she stamped my passport and told me: Thank you! I'm sure she had seen everything when she swiped my passport on her system, she only wanted to confirm I was answer correctly.
These are the things I can remember now! |

What are the questions you were asked at the point of entry on visiting sir.. Let us learn sanyaolurilwan: I was asked at the port of entry if I had a return ticket, I answered "Yes", she said "show me" and I brought it out and handed it over to her.
Then imagine if I didn't have a return ticket with me, what might have happened? |

Gurus in the house!! Is it safe to travel from Cotonou to London as a Nigerian? Also, what are the difficulties one tends to encounter, and what to be and not to be done to have a smooth journey from Lagos to Cotonou airport and London? Hope their immigration is not corrupt or does one need to settle at the airport to board? |
