It is usually deployed at airports and entry points.
Very pathetic NIS didn't do anything about screening inward bound passengers at the international terminal.
Every single incoming passenger should have been screened. That is the point this man would have been quarantined from. No such thing. Stop deceiving yourself |

This i considered as a kind of effort to get me back to banking with them but the bank surprised me this afternoon when i got a debit alert(pix attached) for card issuance. Now my questions are; Who made the request? Under who's name? Could this be the banks trick to clear the little balance on the account? Fellow nairalanders, help me before access bank will partner with one yahoo boy and hand me over to EFCC. Pls has any of you experienced this before? I never had a card issued on account with same bank yet someone was using OTP to debit my account. The bank appears crooked. |

As long as you are making something you don't care about general well being of the entire society , that's the difference between you and some of us .. I keep saying a made a killing financially under the Jonathan govt but I still became one of the biggest critic of that govt ( an action I heavily regret now ) and infact silly me went on to campaign and vote for Buhari ..In todays Nigeria God is still coming through for me despite the ragtag Buhari economy so much my general lifestyle is still very comfortable by any standard in any country but I still find time to come out and say the truth about this failed govt that is failing everyone including a giant like Dangote . I can never be happy seeing Nigeria so hopeless and forlorn and gradually being overun by poverty and insecurity . You have now gone to SA to go enjoy better governance while supporting an inept man to destroy your own country .SMH Shut up. I have gone to help SA as they need experts in certain fields too. I am here temporarily and it is not my home. Just because you are gnashing your teeth doesn't mean others are in your category. And you are a confirmed liar. I'm done with you in this thread. I'm sure before the end of today, you would be on another thread screaming Buhari again. He is not responsible for your suffering. It started many years ago. |

blowjohn: Jevovahs witness dont take or give blood so that's their wahala. The names and phone numbers of the travellers are already taken na for contact tracing. Tough times call for tough measures bro. To me that's one method. Check it out this italian that tested positive......we would have know if he had the virus from day 1 if he had his blood samples taken. Besides we can always narrow down the people who will give blood samples by looking at the country they arrived from.
The other countries taking measures, how has it prevented the virus from entering? A song as one doesn't show symptoms even with the virus, blood test is the key No country would engage in this act. Not one. |

Acidosis: Corruption is a global issue that's why we have an international, not national, organization like Transparency International.
It is true corruption exists in the private sector but how many customers have forfeited their savings because of corruption? Can we compare the stats to the volume of resources the average citizen forfeits in the public sector?
Has any ATM machine ever ask you for bribe before withdrawal? Has any teller or bank Manager?
Now relate this to your experiences in the public sector (police, customs, airport, CAC, even public and state universities). The stats can never be on the same page because unlike the public sector, the average customer knows the right places to report such issues to, he's confident of getting justice, and with more technology, human communication has become minimal. Advanced countries are less corrupt because of technology. The banker is also aware that failure to remain diligent and upright will cost him his job.
Where are the corrupt bankers of yesterday? Sacked, yeah? Where are the corrupt public officers of yesterday? Some of them are governors and president today. Corrupt bankers of yesterday are the boardroom captains of today go figure. |

backnbeta: Not all travelers sir. Some countries have higher records of the virus/death per infected and Italy is one of them. Travelers from those countries should be quarantined! Travelers from South Korea, Japan, and Iran should be quarantined or isolated in their homes/rooms and under government watch while flights from China should be banned totally got now because even the Chinese are discouraging foreigners from their country now. See what US and Japan are doing with passengers on cruise ships On a cruise ship that had a confirmed case, common sense suggested the people be quarantined. Are you aware that being European means you have free travel across all of Europe in many cases? I have a French colleague who lives on the border with Spain and his home airport is in Barcelona. What do you suggest happens to his likes? You cannot stop international travel until this is declared a global pandemic. We may yet reach that stage but as of today, free movement is still guaranteed in most cases. |

Acidosis: No, it has nothing to do with anxiety.
Failure to realize that everyone (including Buhari) is liable to steal is why we remain among earth's most perpetually corrupt nations. You don't commit a nation's resources in the hands of a few simply because you expect them to be morally upright.
Proactive measures (from the period of employment to retirement), and reactions through enforcement of laws and order are the key ingredients.
Private sector organizations are not f00ls, ya know? They tell you to present guarantors, and ensure you sign bond and undertaking before employment. Businesses are not built on morality. Everyone is a potential thief. Private sector, you mean like banks? Can we count the number of cases of theft or connivance with criminals using banks as an example? Many have been caught and sentenced, yet many more indulge. Just like drinking is a culture in certain climes, corruption is an endemic culture in Nigeria and a lot stems from the low GDP per capita. Should the society embrace production and creativity, the average joe would find less reason to grease the palms of public officials who would in turn have further respect for themselves as time goes by. |

Acidosis: Who are the people? Those in government or the average citizen?
Corruption is no respecter of GDP or wealth please. The only cure for corruption is to put the right measures in place to curtail corruption and ensure those who by-pass your measures pay dearly.
If poverty is the key factor for corruption, then why do rich men and women steal? What is the right measure. The so-called rich people steal because they suffer anxiety often predicated on a past life of penury. In addition, when it becomes a societal malaise, the rich indulge in it because it is expected. |
