Good day landers, I would like to hear your opinion on this matter bothering me for days now.

I am faced with choosing between working in one of the breweries here in onitsha as a casual for 35k monthly and traveling to abuja be with an uncle who is into metal fabrication ( welding, painting and general sales of his product).

Thing is, if I am to stay here in onitsha...I have planned to save up 100-150k before next year to start a business my mom is currently into and she's doing pretty well in it .

While if I am to stay with this uncle in abuja, he agreed on teaching me basics of his profession like paint spraying with machine, and he also promised to set me up with trade in the welding industry as time goes on, but I will be placed on monthly salary after I must have learnt the painting process and stuff, ( mind you, his proposed salary is between 20-30k monthly).

My brothers and sisters, is welding something that can guarantee a good future in this present state of the country? Does it worth my time as a guy in his late 20's? Should I just continue with my 7-5 job ?

I have until 5th of april to decide. Thanks for your time.

My brother that ur uncles plan for u is not bad at all... Hand work is very good,besides he said he will place u on salary of 20-30k which is not bad, beside.u can still save up frm there and still open that ur mummy's business in abuja,get a paid person to run it and be very close to supervise it. if possible u open it close to ur work location. Do this and thank me later ok.

considering the competition in d labour market.. it will be difficult for you to get a job based on merit or qualification considering d course u studied and grade..micro biology is useless in this country..I dont know where they fit in..even hospitals dont accept them...pls try to venture into self employment or learn a trade..then the job will come when u least expected..as it is now u will have to have strong connection cuz the odds are against u..I am not discouraging u just my mind..if u are in benin..contact me..I will teach u a trade after 1 year and 6 months u will be making atleast 500k every month..but u have to put ur ego aside..salary work na scam.no agreement fee..feeding and accommodation on me...

1. Deborah- I traveled for 3 weeks and she was flirting with my best friend. My friend called to inform me what my girl was up to. My best friend returned the favour because I also informed him of his ex flirting with me and would never break the bro code.

I know this isn't the right section. But I don't know the right one and so I opted to post here since it seems to have a lot of traffic.

Yesterday, I returned to my room to find a rat dead in the middle of it. Ordinarily, I wouldn't be bothered. But this rat has clearly been bitten (pictures will be displayed below). I called a neighbour and we examined it. We were arguing if a snake could have done it, and if yes, why it didn't swallow it. In any case, we decided to leave it where it was to see if whatever killed it would return for it. I went to sleep at a friend's.

We returned this morning to find the dead rat gone. So, I called others to join me and we ransacked every nook and cranny of the room. We couldn't find anything threatening. But we did find another rat killed in much the same manner as the first (second picture).

It irks that I can't find what did this. I can't sleep in the room as it is. So please, experts in the house, help me to identify what it could be and what can be done.

My dear,l will advlse u to save money and buy a cheap moto cycle in other to save cost of transportation. Then try to make ur place of living a bit comfortable.U can buy a small generator,and from there life goes on.Be very friendly to people in ur school and huz including ur pupils and their parents. Bet me u will start enjoying d area. Remember that they will not release u for transfer now because they already know that u will definitely demand for it. but with good relationship,with time it can be granted. Wow. It sounds so complex. The fact that she searches for you and reaches out often is a blessing. Maybe she is not proud of her life and afraid of you seeing her and maybe rejecting her or not being proud of her... There might be a lot of guilt she is carrying and she might be afraid of the questions she has to answer to.

I'm not making excuses for her, I just don't want you to blame yourself, and take the 'rejection' personally. It might have nothing to do with you and more about her. I'm sorry for the pain this must cause you.

I have a few friends who had to grow up without their mothers for similar reasons and it really missed them up. The rejection took a toll on them, and one of them couldn't be a good mother herself because of her experience. She lost her children and her life went down the drain after she lost her own children. It's a vicious cycle if one is not careful. Please try and get counseling so you could heal from the trauma if you can. I wish you peace of mind.
