My Dr has prepared my mind for elective cs due to my history of delay and age. But he said I should be coming for check up weekly.
Na so I drove myself to hospital for normal anti-natal clinic only for the Dr to say madam we are bringing the baby out within the next hours. I thought it was a joke, that was how I called DH to join me at the hospital immediately. I was already on admission with Drs monitoring my BP every minute, telling me I have to be stable before taking me to theater but instead of my BP to come down it was going up. Dh signed the consent form immediately he arrived and paid, we were told they will need to prepare incubator for the baby, we agreed to everything. All I want is my baby and me to be alive.
I was wheeled into theater 6:15pm, I was injected at the spine at exactly 6:45pm my baby was brought out crying out loud but so small weighting 2.0kg, so the pediatrician that took the baby certified him ok without incubator.
I had 4 Drs on me alone just to make sure all was OK. My BP was monitored throughout the surgery.
It is a wonderful experience that I can't describe. Seeing my baby gives me more strength.
That is how God wipe away my tears of 12 years waiting.
I am now a proud mother of a bouncing baby boy

cervical cerclage is done between weeks 12 and 14 of pregnancy. However, cervical cerclage can be done up until week 23 of pregnancy if a pelvic exam or ultrasound shows that your cervix is beginning to open..

Hello mamas.... I am back again.... I miscarriaged in october and i just discovered I'm 5 weeks now. I went to my doctor to inform him, well, he told me i need to start Progesterone injection till I'm 12 weeks and he will also do a cerclage when im 20+. Please mama i have a few questions. Is the progesterone important (i am currently doing well) and i thought the cerclage is only recommended when necessary.

Please how much is cerclage. The injection is 25k for 6 weeks

Compliments Mamas in the house,lately I have been experiencing cramps around my vagina and anus,it switches from pain to discomfort at intervals and also I feel this heaviness in my abdomen that makes it hard for me to fart so all the gas is still stuck in thereby causing abdominal cramp or pain (don't know which to classify it under).This development started yesterday...I'm in my second trimester 21 weeks.Please experienced Mamas is this normal in second trimester? Sorry for the pain, take antacid, either the tablet or the syrup. It will help you release the gas.

@comte.m2011, yeah, i was thinking fansidar cures malaria as well, so is it better to wait if/when malaria will appear and then drink the fansidar, cos from what they are saying..the fansidar regime is to be taken 2x or 3x, wk 19, wk 22 etc. 3tabs taken at once on each occasion

Yeah, it's the 3 tabs at once.

Pls, don't wait till malaria set in before she takes it. By the time the malaria will show on her body, it might have affected the foetus already. Pls, allow her to follow her Dr's prescription.

Fansidar is part of the routine drugs given to pregnant women.

Pregnant women are not allowed to play gamble.

add zinc tablet to it. For 1-6months, it's half tablet per day for 10days. 6 months and above, it's one tablet per day for 10 days.

I think it depends on body system, it's faster for some people and slow for some as well.
Personally, it doesn't work fast for me. They use to induce me for like 3 times before I feel it.
Also, it's painful too. I don't know if epidural can reduce the pain associated with induction though.

I had stillbirth�� 2014(pre-emclamsia), am pregnant 2months pregnant now after 5years of waiting..��
I wasn't feeling too well last week so I went to a hospital here, bought card and doctor said I'll do some tests, so it was discovered I had malaria, I was given drugs at exorbitant amount 9550naira, when I got home I showed a nurse my drugs and she shouted how can they prescribe quinnie to treat malaria in early pregnancy.
Please, I need suggestion of good hospital to register for ante-natal as soon as possible here in Benin city.

Same quinnie was prescribed for me to treat malaria at 12weeks. And nothing happened to my pregnancy. The boy is perfectly fine.

Trust me, you don't want to experience the first 3 or 4 months of a colicky baby's tantrums, its super frustrating. No mama, its not colic. Colic is a medical condition that affected babies face when they have intestinal or bowel-related severe pains. Its very normal for them to stretch, grunt, arch their backs and be generally uneasy only in that moment when they are passing gas or trying to poo. And as you said, they'll outgrow it around 3/4 months depending on the child as some take longer to perfect the movement.

What TiffanyJ described is still colic, even with your explanation, you are still saying the same thing with her just that you gave the definition of colic.

Mamas please is it compulsory to use baby oil on babys head until 6 months. I was told it helps to close the fontanelle quickly. Don't know how true it is. Please enlighten a ftm ��

it's just to lubricate that place and also protect it from cold. I don't know if it's true, but that's what I heard.

Though not really compulsory if the baby has a very thick hair, but if it's scanty hair, pls use it. It doesn't hurt.
